In a hypothetical situation where you have a roleplay idea but aren't sure if anyone would be interested. Do you ask a friend first? (To see if the plot is interesting/good outside of your perspective?) Do you post the plot Idea anyways and hope someone is interested? Or do you do something else?

I'd just post it and see how things go

And if you are uncertain about the idea being associated with your main account, just post it under an anon for added peace of mind.

I would do both! You never know what kind of idea would resonate with who. RP is collaborative, so toss the idea out there, and see who picks it up and build on it. Your plot will take as many directions as people that show interest, you can see which direction you'd like to go with it.

Honestly, I'd just go ahead and post it and see what happens. 'Shy bairns get nowt', as a former partner used to say.
