If your character existed in the Pokemon universe, what Pokemon would they have? Would they be trainers or have a spoilt and lazy pet?

This game is mostly to give you an opportunity to think of your characters outside of their usual context, but you can talk about your Pokemon OCs if you really want!
Yuki (played by CrypticStardust)

Yuki is my resident isekai OC and they have been to Pokémon before; thanks to the powers of plot convenience or whatever, they get to keep any Pokémon they've caught and put in their PC, even if they leave the Pokémon world and come back. Here's their team, plus a couple extras. I've copy/pasted this from their profile but also added a few more notes.

  • Flurry the Crabominable: Female, hasty nature. The team's ace. Her name comes from snow flurries and also a flurry of punches, because, well, Ice/Fighting :D This is Yuki's number one favourite Pokémon in general (though they love their whole team equally.)
  • Patrick the Starmie: Genderless, lax nature. The team's resident Spongebob reference.
  • Snowdrop the Glaceon: Female, careful nature. The Cute One(TM). She probably wears a bow or something. Pretty, wintery flower name for a pretty Ice-type Pokémon. Yuki's favourite Eeveelution.
  • Funazushi the Gyarados: Male, quirky nature. The silly billy. Named after carp sushi.
  • Queenler the Kingler: Female, sassy nature. Lives up to her name. I couldn't resist this dumb pun :3
  • Sonic the Clawitzer: Male, rash nature. Probably the scariest one here.
  • Mari the Yamper: Female, jolly nature. This one is a pet, not a battler, and she's always first in line for curry and treats. She has the same name as Yuki's family dog back home.

Yuki is more focused on exploring the world and hanging out with their Pokémon, but they enjoy battling as well. They'll probably challenge the gyms for real just like they do when playing the games back home.
Their favourite types are Ice and Water :)
Blanche (played anonymously)

Oooh! This sounds fun..

- Snowrunt (reminds Blanche of himself sort of)
- Gengar (oooh scary ghostttttt)
- Mimikyu (he met one and befriended it)
- Litwick (he isn't affected by life-draining powers, so can own one)
- Chien-Pao (accidentally came across it, reminded Blanche of Him)
- Galarian Darumaka (cute and cold!! like Blanche :))
Miley Harrison (played by silvermoondarkening)

Miley has in fact gone to Pokémon before, I've even played as her in Pokémon Black/Pokémon Sword! That said, here's her ideal team:

Starter is either a Serperior or a Cinderace, for some hilarious reason whenever I played as her she'd keep getting female starters so their names are Regina and Karlach.

Other members would probably be a Sylveon (Sylvester) , a Silvally (The Beast), a Chandelure (I managed to get her a shiny one, named Chihuly), a Midnight Lycanroc (Clawdeen), and a Noivern (Soundcloud.)
Just gonna casually slide on in here and say that Cee also has been isekai'd to Pokemon before, like two other people here! So thinking about their team has been fun!

Here they are:

Maractus (Samba)
Cacturne (Prickle)
Appletun (Gala)
Tropius (Banana)
Slurpuff (Candyfloss)
Alcremie (Milky)

Various Pokemon that Cee caught and/or befriended because they're either related to cacti or food- two things that Cedar really likes.

Samba is their Partner Pokemon- she approached Cee out in the wild and was extremely friendly! Even though they didn't have any Pokeballs, Samba kept following them around anyway. Once they bought some, Samba was willingly caught.

Their Pokemon are largely spoiled pets- Cedar doesn't enjoy battling with them competitively, but will fight other Pokemon or any trainers that jump them. Most of the time they all go exploring together, camping and otherwise minding their own business. ^.^
Cedric Rohrin (played by DVC3)

Cedric would have Aegislash, definitely. Cedric would be often lazy and would only catch one. But he would train the Pokémon well and be a very good trainer.
Torchie (played by SillySpider)

Torchie would probably have Tepig as a Pokemon, not to train but as a friend.
Since they are ill and wheelchair bound, Torchie wouldn't have the confidence to become a trainer,
and would fear hurting Pokemon during battles.
Lutra (played by CrypticStardust)

If Lutra didn't outright become an Oshawott, they'd certainly have one and become best buddies with it. I think they'd have a casual interest in competitive battling, and they'd definitely use a bunch of Water-types... Just, whichever ones they thought looked the coolest; they wouldn't really be thinking about which are the most strong are viable.
Mimi (played by CrypticStardust)

Mimi would totally have a small army of Impidimps,, and she'd dress them all up in funky outfits, and probably participate in the Pokémon musicals from Unova and the contests from... Whichever region that was... I doubt she'd ever use them in battle. If she did, she probably wouldn't win because Impidimps aren't very strong and she's not very good at strategy.
Chiharu (played by CrypticStardust)

The next of my OCs to get some Pokémon...
Chiharu wouldn't use their Pokémon in battle unless it was absolutely necessary; they prefer to avoid conflict at all costs, and they wouldn't enjoy competitive battling as a hobby. Though they do canonically like playing the Pokémon games, including the battles but that's only because these battles are fictional; they wouldn't like participating in them if they were real, which they would be if Chi was in the Pokémon world. But, they'd absolutely love hanging out with Pokémon - petting them, playing with them, cooking for them... They'd most likely have lots of Pokémon, not just a team of six... And they'd catch everything in either Heal Balls or Friend Balls, too.
...I was going to write out a whole loooong list but actually... Just, pretty much anything that is either a fox (of course the whimsical kitsune would vibe with fox Pokémon), a cute kitten or puppy, a smol birb, and/or particularly fluffy; lots of first-stage Pokémon. I'll also specifically mention Snom and Sinistea... And a whole entire Dragonite to fly around on.

Edited because I forgot to include... Since Chi is a kitsune, they might actually be at least partially a Pokémon, if they ended up in that world... I'm just not really sure which one, since none of the fox Pokémon match their vibe all that well.
