Miriela (played by lyingsmile15)

Normally, Miriela would've held onto her grudge and sulked. But under the circumstances, she just sighed a little and focused on walking. The sound of their footsteps on the path was mostly repetitive. It helped her focus her mind on their upcoming tasks.

How would she teach another person how to control their powers? She'd taught herself... after causing havoc due to not having control of her powers. It had been necessary. But how would she teach someone else? Especially someone who was likely older than her.

Thinking about age brought her mind back to her nagging worries. Her time was running down rapidly. If only she knew how much longer she had... but she didn't. The time could only be slowed... never stopped. She'd already defied it several times... and she would pay for it in time.

She brought herself back into reality as they approached Pluvio's village.

Taking a few deep breaths to calm herself, she tried to start mentally planning what to teach Kiari. Meditation as definitely going to be important... And spending time surrounded by her element was important too. There were lots of things... some easier to explain than others.

He smiled a bit at the sarcasm on Kiari's tongue and chuckled ever so softly. He didn't mind her not being anything, he never expected to learn the powers he had but after so long he was brough to this power and was made a frighteningly strong Wizard. He was proud of his powers, though he would never boast about his powers or anything of himself. He was not proud of much of himself, but he was content with where he was in the world.

At the mentioning of coin and money, he smiled a bit. "i see no worries in that department, despite my stringent and crude mannor of spending, you may have seen that I have much to spare. So giving money is not a problem I have. Besides, I have years of money stored up over the time I was leading, so I have much to share and no worries to have." He smiled warmly and chuckled a bit, "if you need it that much, I can pay you to learn, it's a completely unorthodox idea, but if you need the money." He laughed a bit and smiled softly to Kiari.

He noticed Miriela in the back breathing deep and attempting a calm state. After succeeding it made him feel a bit more concerned. Though he knew none of the people well enough to have a stand still relationship with them, he was still in a caring tone of wanting to take care of everything something he has learned and build as his brother and sister got older.

"I have nothing to worry about." He spoke with a soft smile to Pluvio as they walked closer to the encampment. He saw that the drow was feeling slightly giddy over the situation, but Sasuki just smiled, feeling that this was not the first time Pluvio would have a scholar under his belt, but possibly ones not a pretty as this up-and-coming one, or what the Wizard assumed. He wouldn't dwell over the situation much longer as he continued forward with more interest over the area they were approaching.

Shaking her head no to Sasuki's suggestion about paying her for learning, Kiari looked onward to what was awaiting her. It would've be amusing to have gotten paid to take up someone else's time. Especially, when she was not sure if it would be worth it in the end. She could be incompatible to their magic, thus it be a pointless cause in the first place, or she could always be struck by lightning. Neither which settled right with her.

After Pluvio asked if she had any more questions before confronting the ones who held the course of her future within their grasp, she shook her head no once again.

Before, she had been rattled by nerves but now she found herself calm and collected. Kiari raised her chin ever so slightly, and waited for Pluvio to lead the way.

She glanced at Miriela, wondering what thoughts lie beyond her silence but thought it was best not to ask.

Tucking a stray hair behind her ear, she gives Pluvio a tender smile to urge him forward by displaying a small amount of unwavering confidence; or rather the readiness to see this through and move on from there.

After the long walk, they were finally striding through Pluvio's home village. The sun had moved into its afternoon position long ago and was hanging in the sky like a lazy ball of flame. Sounds of the drums changed from a steady beat to a more tribal rhythm by the time the group made their way past the group of drummers.

They offered friendly smiles to the newcomers. But the music change was a sign that there were visitors. Along the way through the town, little drow children who had never left the village began to gather along the row of huts.

"I live a little farther away from this central village", Pluvio said proudly. Of course he also had his temple, which was in the style of the storm mage and was vastly different from this town.

Most of them stared. Some scurried inside to their huts, afraid of these strange new people. A few waved and smiled. One light grey drow boy followed the group from a distance. If anyone looked back, he would smile and look at the ground.

The smell of cooking meat wafted through the air, drifting across a fresh breeze that swept through the air.

After a short walk through town, they came to the most ornate looking hut. Two guards stood outside, grim looks upon their face. "The elders will see you now."

The drum change had alerted them and they had already seen the group heading towards them. They also recognized Pluvio and knew the elders were available for discussion. Yet the illusion was that they had been waiting for them.

Slowly, the double doors opened with a creak. There were about five stairs, and then they were in a circular room. Three throne-like chairs faced them from the front, spread out into a semi-circle pattern. In the first chair was a heavy, dark blue drow. Next was a black drow female, almost as dark as Pluvio. And in the third was a frail, light gray drow. They all had stark white hair, which was a sharp contrast to Pluvio's black goatee.

It almost made one wonder if he used dyes.

"Speak, strangers", the female elder said. Her eyes focused on Miriela.

Pluvio turned to Miriela, and nodded as if to say 'go ahead'.

The village was rather interesting to Miriela and she looked around silently. Their use of drums was different from anywhere she'd been before. Then again, she tended to avoid towns when she was traveling, so it was possible she'd just passed villages like this before without ever entering.

Being watched by the villagers was of little concern to her, people tended to stare at outsiders, which she was in most every place she went. There was no home for someone like her, and she knew it. In all technicality, she'd left the place of her birth and the place that should've been a home and now she was running from it.

When they arrived at the hut of the elders, Miriela straightened up more than she'd already been, trying to look as formal as possible. She studied each of the elders for a moment. When the female told them to speak and focused on her, and Pluvio nodded to her, she felt a little uneasy about being chosen first.

But, her unease was hidden and she smoothly bowed slightly and introduced herself. "Miriela of Sa'an." Sa'an was a desert to the far south, one known for only having a few small villages... all of which had strange rumors and stories surrounding them. Some of fae and others of beasts of the water or desert, and still others of shapeshifters who lay with human women to conceive monstrous offspring. There was a saying in the areas just North of Sa'an, that 'nothing good comes from Sa'an'. If the elders were so wise as an elder should be, they would know these things about Sa'an. Though the chances of Miriela's companions knowing these things were slim to none. "Water mage." Her brown eyes remained on the female elder as she straightened back up and folded her arms over her chest, signalling that she was done speaking.
