I had artwork done of a character involving a friend's homebrew tabletop campaign/setting really homebrew everything. I enjoy it a lot, but unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, the game is on indefinite hiatus. So I have lovely new character art, but lack a current use for it. Now before anyone says, why don't you just use the same character elsewhere. I don't feel comfortable about that because it's pretty heavily tangled in the friend's world and would just be really messy and difficult to work with. So I'd rather leave that character in that world and try to come up with something fresh.
Now taking a break to post said lovely art done by hookfang on Chicken smoothie:

Problem is, I'm not sure what exactly to do with her. I briefly considered turning her into a reskinned satyr druid or cleric in a forgotten realms setting, but...outside of tabletop, I don't have a lot of interest in rping in that setting with well...most normal adventurer style characters. I also have no one to form a group with for tabletop so I would have to roll the dice with roll 20 and I'm extremely wary of that option as I would be entirely alone with nothing, but strangers. Now I have no problem whatsoever in engaging in written rp with strangers, heck yes, that's fine, but tabletop as a solo girl...not quite so much. I think if I had someone I knew and trusted to go in alongside me I could do it, but I don't.
Then of course I could have her not be associated with forgotten realms, but...my brain won't come up with even the faintest idea on that front either.

Hello!
Now, I did read over and see you have some trouble with your character due to their association with anothers lore, and know it was mentioned it'd be best not to separate them from the quest that has yet to be, but I do know how to separate a character from anothers lore without damaging either characters lore itself.
One possibility, and one I use most, is leaving where they currently are as is but changing the most recent piece of lore into something that drags away the character from the other while still making the lore meaningful. Some examples would be that the characters memory was fuzzy after such, they go off to pursue a job of sorts (such as the pre mentioned cleric thought) while still "on the journey", or stumble upon something like a portal or rift that has taken them to the new place by surprise.
Another could be to possibly make a variant of the character, something like an alternate universe or "AU" that you can choose the settings for to redefine the character and have lets say the same path this current one took except the other character passes away to [insert cause], leading them down a path that lead them here. Now, this one obviously might not suit your problem as much as the first solution, but having something like this is both fun to mess around with and good to have if you'd like to proceed with multiple lore scenarios yet have the same character.
Hope this helps, and wish you and your party the greatest! ^w^
