Forums » Art & Creativity » Got a lovely new commission!....now what do I do?

I had artwork done of a character involving a friend's homebrew tabletop campaign/setting really homebrew everything. I enjoy it a lot, but unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, the game is on indefinite hiatus. So I have lovely new character art, but lack a current use for it. Now before anyone says, why don't you just use the same character elsewhere. I don't feel comfortable about that because it's pretty heavily tangled in the friend's world and would just be really messy and difficult to work with. So I'd rather leave that character in that world and try to come up with something fresh.

Problem is, I'm not sure what exactly to do with her. I briefly considered turning her into a reskinned satyr druid or cleric in a forgotten realms setting, but...outside of tabletop, I don't have a lot of interest in rping in that setting with well...most normal adventurer style characters. I also have no one to form a group with for tabletop so I would have to roll the dice with roll 20 and I'm extremely wary of that option as I would be entirely alone with nothing, but strangers. Now I have no problem whatsoever in engaging in written rp with strangers, heck yes, that's fine, but tabletop as a solo girl...not quite so much. I think if I had someone I knew and trusted to go in alongside me I could do it, but I don't.

Then of course I could have her not be associated with forgotten realms, but...my brain won't come up with even the faintest idea on that front either.
