Mori was in a near by building she had been searching through, to see if there were any spare supplies that she could carry with her. She had limited room in her backpack to carry things with her so she had to be careful what she decided to grab. She had some rope looped through one of the rings on her backpack as well as a thermos clipped to the other side neither were too heavy and were easy to mange. She had found some food in a couple of the business's lunch room and was adjusting some of the supplies around in her bag.
She had an extra flannel folded in the bottom of the bag. She also carried some duct tape, a plate and fork, a medical supply kit, as well as travel lantern inside the bag she had some flint and extra kindling in a travel case within the bag but should have enough room to fit some of the food in. There was a couple packages of dried soup, some canned beans, and an unopened can of soda that she decided to take with her. She had found a couple k- cup containers of coffee that she decided to bring with her as well. She could always open them and brew it outside of the cups if necessary. She tucked everything in the bag and zipped it up. " There..." The windows of the business had been broken into and everything else had been ransacked already.
Thankfully she found these items on the back of a very top shelf and in the back of a difficult to open drawer. She was thankful for what she had found. She had seen a gas station across the street caddy corner from the business she was currently in and had planned to head there next to see if there was anything worth bringing with her. It would be possible they had some other supplies such as flash lights or tools that would benefit her. She went to head that direction when she heard a commotion in that direction. "Great, someone had made it there before her." she thought. As she made her way to one of the windows that had been broken. She seen a man hitting a stick on the front window of the front door, She heard a shrill scream coming from inside, that could only mean one thing. A zombie was inside. Before seeing the zombie charging at the man. She seen him brace to fight, without hesitation she seen him shove the stick straight through the zombies head as it approached him. It stopped abruptly with the same expression on its face as it had while charging the man. It then fell to the floor with a thud.
Wide eyed and unsure if she should even consider heading in that direction until after the man left she crouches behind the wall and waits to see what he was doing there. He seemed to be chuckling to himself after the zombie had fallen. "Well that's disturbing," Mori thought to herself. He was suddenly attacked by a zombie coming from the side of him, Alarmed she had completely lost all awareness from around her and stared as if she had tunnelvision, " Should I help him..." she thinks quickly. Suddenly the man grabs a piece of glass and stabs the second zombie that was attacking him with it. She decides to run over to a nearby car to get a closer view. The man had cut his hand while defending himself, he pushed the body off of him. She could see he was saying something to himself but could not understand him. He sat there for a minute. Mori decided to call out to him from behind the car she was standing behind. " Are you ok? I seen everything that happened. Do you need some help?" Waiting for him to respond she covers her self slightly more behind the car just in case he thinks she may be a threat.
( sorry for not as much length of a response your really good with detailing in your response there I'm kinda jealous to be honest lol just wanted to let ya know )
Mori could see the man tense up at the sound of her voice. Hopefully she didn't startle him too much. He looks at his hand and sighs before agreeing to allow her to help him. He continues saying,"Um you better not be a dame robber couse I'll do the same to you as I did these dead dudes got it." She couldn't help but laugh at his response as she came out from behind the car she was using as cover, she was not the type to rob anyone especially in these times. It seems we all have it rough now since the Zombies had been coming more and more prevalent. She approached the edge of the parking lot to the gas station cautiously.
As he came out of the front door of the gas station he was wrapping his hand in a cloth, and he continued saying," don't usually take offers from folks like this so um I'm sorry if I seem hesitant but we can't take any chances anymore now can we you know?" She knew exactly what he meant. She had been robbed a couple times of all of her supplies when all of this started and that is why she started traveling alone. "I completely agree, but I couldn't help but notice you were being attacked so I figured you may need help."
She stepped closer towards the gas station trying to remain aware of their surroundings, considering the second zombie came from what seemed to be no where. " Can I see your hand?" she asked holding her hand out to him. She wore gloves to keep the transition rate down when around other people. He mentions that he has some canned goods she can have in exchange for helping him so she replies," That really isn't necessary I know times are tough right now as it is." Knowing she had just found some extra supplies across the street.

*She glances around while checking for any movement of the surrounding area and listens closely.*
She could tell he was hesitant to accept her help. He finally reaches out and he says,"I mean I don't want to burden you then me not give you anything kinda makes it feel not real I guess since the world went to shit I'm kinda now used to offering something if that makes sense." She looked at him and smiled as he chuckles. " I understand. I will take what you have to offer then." She knew all to well how things had been since the outbreak had occurred. It seemed to happen all too quickly. She had lost touch with her family right after it happened and had been searching for them ever since. People hadn't been the same, they were all scouring to find any remaining supplies in the city. Not many stuck around for long.
She kneeled down, opened her pack then she pulled out the first aid kit and opened it. She grabbed a bandage and some alcohol from the bag in order to cleanse his hand. She left the kit open on the top of her pack just incase there was anything else she needed. She unwrapped his hand to reveal the cut, it was deeper than expected. She hands the cloth back to him and grabs some gauze from the kit. She opens the alcohol and says'" This may sting a little.." as she pours some of the alcohol on the wound.. " My name is Mori," she says trying to distract him from the pain of the alcohol, "it's nice to meet you."
She laughed a little as he yelled from the pain. "It's my pleasure honestly." Mori said, she was a medical worker before the outbreak had occurred so being able to offer assistance to someone who was hurt brought back memories. She enjoyed her job and helping people heal.
She finished wrapping his hand when Max asks her what her game is, whether she is surviving or scavenging. Then he informs her that he is looking for somewhere to find more weapons. Mori did not have any weapons on her and she was lucky enough to not need to defend herself much since traveling here. She was good at keeping her head down and staying aware of her surroundings. But finding some way to protect herself was probably a good idea. "I could go with you to look for the gun store if you don''t mind the company?"
As she is putting the supplies back in her bag she then starts explaining,"I don't really know what I am doing out here honestly. I have been trying to find where my family was headed but haven't been able to find any clues. I heard there was a place a few cities away that is offering protection, but I wanted to make sure they were not still here in town somewhere." Afraid that something could have happened to them while trying to evacuate.
She wasn't familiar with the area and she had no way to try and contact them. Her family had moved here and she had stayed in their hometown when they left. When she first heard of the outbreak she had fled the city she was from and came to look for them. "I don't have any directions to where they were living, only an address on an envelope from a letter that I received from them sometime ago." She pulled the envelope out of her pocket, it was wrinkled from her traveling and checking the address so often. But was still in good shape. " Do you have any idea where it would be located or which direction I should head?" she says holding out the envelope to him.
Max Hands Mori back the envelope after studying the address, She looks at it and there is some blood on it from the cut on his hand. She folds the envelope back up and sticks it in her pocket. " That's ok if you are unfamiliar with the area I am sure we will come across it eventually. She hadn't noticed him pull up in his vehicle and had assumed they would be on foot. She studied the car. "At least it would get us where we are going quickly." she thought to herself.
He mentioned that the Evacuation sites had allowed the virus to spread rapidly, and then trailed off for a moment almost as if he were having a flash back. " I understand, I wouldn't expect you to take full responsibility for my protection. I appreciate the help." She tells him. She picks her pack up off the ground after replacing everything inside of it. She puts it on and asks Max, " Where should we start? Do you know the location of any gun stores around here or where the police station is located? Maybe we could start there." She turns around and stops to think for a moment. "What were you even doing here in the first place?" confused on why he was here being attacked if he had a car that he was traveling in.
Embarrassed by the confusion of which vehicle seemed to be his she decides maybe it would be worth searching the car to see if there was anything that could help them on their way. The driver side window was down and the door was unlocked. She glanced around inside. There was an air freshener tree hanging from the rear view mirror and both visors were down. She opens the door, it was quiet at first but then followed with the sound of a *creaaaak, Bang* She looked at Max with a look of worry. "Hopefully nothing heard that." she said worried.
She sat down on the driver seat. It was a long bench seat that was custom to older vehicles. She opened the ash tray. It was empty. She then leaned over to see if there was anything in the Dashboard's glove compartment. There were some papers inside, she grabbed the papers and looked through them in hope to find a road map. Nothing but some registration and insurance verification. The cars owner had been names Mr. Hefner Schmidt. She glanced around inside and seen a screwdriver with a few wrenches inside. She took them and put them in her packs outside pocket which was empty until that point. She shoved the registration and other paperwork back inside and closed the door. She decided to look under the seat and found a few loose cigarette butts and crumbs under the driver side. Under the Passenger side of the seat she found another flashlight and some loose change. She held the flashlight up and offered it to Max. "Do you have a flashlight at all? I'm not sure if this one is working?" She gathered the loose change and placed it in her pocket. She then sat up and bent over the seat to see if there was anything in the back. Nothing. It seemed as if Mr. Schmidt had been traveling alone. She reached down and said to Max," Do you wanna check the trunk and see if there's anything you need in there?" Pulling the trunks release switch so he could examine it more closely. *Pop* it opened.
She exited the vehicle and headed to the back of the car to see what he would find.
