Hi admins,

If you click on my profile you'll see my theme has turned purple changed to "content not available in your region" in big white writing, this is a recent thing, or I only noticed it last night anyway. I'm in the UK, but I didn't think that would effect themes on my OC's.

Hoping it's just a glitch?

Thanks :)

I'm not an admin, but it appears ok to me now. I take it you changed the style template?

This may or may not be your issue, but I know that Imgur has made (more) changes with geo-blocking, further restricting linking to uploaded images, and I know a lot of Epic style designs have been done with background images hosted on Imgur which disappear. If anyone who has made sharable styles using Imgur, I encourage you to go in and save the image on the style's 'hosted media'' tab and use the new link to replace the Imgur link.

Thanks Ray, yes sorry I did.

Oh thank you for the explanation, that would all make sense as some themes work just fine. I think it was the "White Flowers" theme that did it. But this theme seems much more lovely. Thank you for your help and explanation though, I thought it was something that I had done!
To be more specific with the situation, long story short and as far as I recall, a data privacy watchdog in the UK attempted to get in touch with Imgur relating to data privacy issues (this predates the recent OSA laws). Imgur refused. For that, they were issued with a fine. In response to the fine, Imgur has fully blocked all traffic from the UK. That includes the ability to see embedded images as well as the ability to visit the website itself.

There is potential for this to be a permanent issue. As a US-based company with no operations in the UK, Imgur can technically avoid the fine indefinitely. Doing so would almost certainly result in the UK government blocking Imgur in return. Given that the parent company MediaLab is specifically driven by data collection, it seems unlikely they would relent on this issue.

This doesn't just affect RPR, but other forums and small websites reliant on external image hosting.

Oh, well that explains the "not available in your region" too.

Thanks Riik
