Ever heard of Yo-Kai Watch? It was a Pokemon-like game series that was more about befriending spirits and ghosts rather than capturing monsters. It was huge for a good while, and was one of the few creature collectors to every truly challenge Pokemon for popularity. It was inescapable for a good bit if you were a kid in the mid to late 2010s.
The Yo-Kai in the game were all divided into a set of tribes depending on their appearances and stats. So, let's say, your character died and became a ghost in the Yo-Kai world. What would their tribe be?
Brave: the tribe of melee damage and fighting prowess, represented by the color red. Warriors and superheros and such go into this tribe, as well as several fire elementals. If your character is a fearless warrior, this tribe is for them.
Mysterious: represented by the color yellow, this tribe is filled mostly with either magic users or just plain old weirdos, where little old ladies with long arms, living hats and master magicians sit alike. Anything with connections to magic or whimsy goes into this tribe.
Tough: the tough tribe, represented by orange, is the defensive tribe. It's filled with things that are tough, hard to knock down, or just stubborn. If your oc is a bodybuilder, made of rocks, or extremely stubborn, this tribe is for them.
Charming: charming, represented by the color pink, is the cutesy tribe. Most of the mascot characters are in this tribe, and it's home to talking cats, anime girls, and most things you can make a plush out of.
Heartful: this is the healing tribe, represented by the color green. Most calm or kind spirits are in this tribe, and many traditional older people, maternal/paternal figures, or simply ordinary people are in this tribe.
Shady: the shady tribe, represented by a dark blue, is home to spirits who are less morally good. Thieves, villains, cooking pans full of the souls of suffering sinners. You know, the usual. Evil characters and such belong in this tribe.
Eerie: represented by purple and rather similar to shady, these are typically just unnerving, more monstrous characters. Dogs with middle aged men's faces, people who's mouths take up their entire faces, giant blobs of purple goo. They might not be directly evil, but they may accidentally give you nightmares.
Slippery: a rather specific tribe, as this tribe is mostly home to serpents, dragons, fish, etc, and is represented by a light blue. If your character is tied to dragons or snakes and doesn't exactly fit the other ones, this one is for them. This tribe is also home to just generally smooth or slippery things, like a lady with a very long neck, a smooth white ghost, or a man with a banana for a nose.
Further, there are two other groups of spirits: Fleshies or Bonies.
Fleshies prefer cream to custard, are represented by the color blue, and tend to be softer and more friendly than Bonies. They're led by a free spirited and nonchalant man named Toadal Dude. They also would go to war over a good donut.
Bonies, meanwhile, are represented by the color red, tend to be a bit serious and aggressive in appearance, prefer custard to cream, and are led by a serious and grounded man named Arachnus. They also would go to war over a good donut.
So, which tribe is your character in? And are they a Fleshy or a Bony?

Jooters here would likely be a Charming Fleshy, due to his cuter appearance and preference of blue. Plus, Fleshy Souls was the game I played as a kid.
This is an interesting one for me to think about. Theo would definitely be a Bony, that's for sure. But as far as tribes go, I think the one that's the most applicable to him would be Shady. I mean, Theo's more of an anti-hero than a villain, but given that the archetype for anti-heroes is dark and brooding, I think it makes sense.
