Roisin smiled a bit. This time, her smile didn't disappear. "I'm not truly dreading meeting her. She's my sister-in-law. I'm dreading what news she brings. It's just odd not only since I haven't seen her forever, she really close to my uncle. Plus, it's this time around I visit my hometown." She confessed. "Don't worry too much. I made a promise to you first before anyone and I tend to keep it."

Archer came back with more shots and collected the empty ones. "She can handle it. The worse that happen was her opening up." He said, chuckling. "You might be lucky." Archer chirped as Roisin rolled her eyes.

"If there's something you need to deal with on a family-related matter, I am more than happy to wait," Jude assured her. "Not to say that I'm not quite happy to be here with you, but family is important." He smiled and raised his glass to her. "Still, thank you for taking time here to be with me."

Archer left right after. Roisin shook her head. "I made you wait long enough. She isn't here yet anyways, but she would stay here for a bit. Traveling from the capital to here takes a long time." She explained as she also raised her shot glass to him. "No, thank you for accepting." Roisin hummed as she drank it. "Speaking of traveling, beside here and where your from, where else have you been at?"

"That's it," Jude admitted. "Well, I've been to Waterway a few times for the festival they hold down there every year, but this is my first time traveling on my own for work." He grinned mischievously at her and sat up straight. "I am a proper grown-up, now, making big, grown-up choices! Like when to and when not to tell the Lord Mayor that he is an idiot. Which is in the never category, and I follow through, which makes it a proper grown-up decision."

"Waterway. I don't think I've ever been there. What kind of festival do they hold there? Sounds very popular based on how many times you visit." Roisin said before raising her eyebrow when he smiled mischievously towards her and sat up. She smiled before laughing a bit. "It sure does." She hummed.

"It's the winter festival," he explained. "Loads of people come from the smaller surrounding area. A lot open stalls selling things, many go shopping, and there is music and often travelers from elsewhere stopping in. Food, singing, dancing, and savoring the warmth and light before the long winter."

"Sounds fun. Maybe if you go next time, let me tag along. What stuff do they sell there?" Roisin asked as she drank another shot. She put her elbow on the table before she leaned her face into the palm of her hand. Her eyes had softened at this point, and she had a faint smile on her face.

Jude thought back as he finished off the bread. "Hmm, jewelry, rare plants, pets, exotic foods, preserved flowers, magic-infused gizmos, clever little gadgets, housewares, blankets, quilts, hats... Oh, the list goes on! My family and I would go there perhaps every other year, sometimes more if the year was bountiful. The last time I went, I got my sister a little bracelet, which she promptly lost when sneaking off with a fella Mama and Pa did not approve of. I haven't gone for a couple of years now, but I would be happy to take you along, should you desire."

She lit up at the mention of flowers and gadgets. "You must. It would be wonderful to collect the seeds from the flowers and to plant them in general." Roisin chirped. "I wonder if they would have my hometown flower there now that it's rare." She added before realizing he mention his sister. "You're the oldest in your family, I'm assuming?" Rebecca asked.

Jude shook his head. "I'm actually the secondborn. I have one older brother and one younger sister. They are both still in my hometown, and my listtle sister got married last year. What about you? Do you have any siblings back in your hometown? And where is your hometown?"

"Oh, wow. That makes a lot of sense now." Roisin said as she was about to drink another shot, but stopped when he asked those questions. "Dead." Was all she said before drinking the shot. She had removed the flowers from her hair and began making them into a flower crown. "Don't give me pity, I really don't need it, but I can tell you that you act like them and a fellow knight I knew, "Roisin confessed. "I would be going to my hometown to pay tribute to it, but I don't think so since Axa needed to tell me something." She continued, focusing her attention on the flower crown. Surprisingly, she finished and put it on Jude's head. Roisin gave him a small, sad smile before rubbing her ear. "You're pretty attractive, you aren't engaged or seeing anyone, Jude?" She asked, tilting her head. A very horrible attempt to change the subject.

Jude let her place the crown on his head and looked up as if he could somehow see it. Amused, he let it remain on his head, but his eyes were filled with empathy when he looked at Roisin.

"I see people everyday!" He said cheerfully, accepting her desire to change the subject. "There are a lot of people to see, after all. I am not engaged to any of them as far as I am aware. Unless, of course, Mindy Connery decided to take our confessions of undying love back in the first grade seriously and has been waiting for me to get into contact with her almost two decades later."

Roisin noticed the empathy in his eyes. She was prepared to argue, assuming he would start giving her pity. However, she was surprised when he agreed to a subject change. Her face showed it, but quickly shifted into a small smile and laughter. Roisin just shook her head and let her head rest on the palm of her hand again.

"That's cute. I remember doing the same with my sparring partner, thankfully we both knew it was puppy love."She hummed, still rubbing her ear. "You want to hear something funny? My uncle tried to arrange a marriage for me, but it failed because the dawrf he tried to set me up with was scared of me. He wasn't fond of the fact that I was stronger and talented." Roisin snorted.

Jude reached up to touch the flower crown. "You are terrifyingly talented," he smiled. "You can do things with petals to make a grown man shiver! I quite like that." He dropped his hand and decided to risk sullying the mood. "Is your ear bothering you? You have been rubbing it a lot tonight."

Roisin smiled and laughed a bit. She became flustered when he asked. "No, it's something I do when I'm nervous or feel like I need something to do with my hands," Roisin confessed as she stopped rubbing her ear. "The flower crowns are nothing compared to what I can carve wood into. It made a lot of money, but splinters were annoying." Roisin said.

"Really? You can carve wood, too? Metal, wood, flowers... Is there an element you cannot work with?" Jude asked with a grin. "You have incredibly talented hands! It is no wonder they always need something to do."

Roisin’s cheek flushed pink as her smile grew bigger. "I'm honestly not sure. It really just pasting time." She looked away for bit, still smiling.

Soon the doors of the tavern opened. A female dwarf and her child walked in. She seemed lost as she held her child's hand. The female dwarf was wearing obvious clothes that made it clear she wasn't from the area or near by.

"You certainly find some interesting ways to pass the time," Jude said in amusement. "You have a wonderful way of looking at things to bring out such beauty." He looked past Roisin and nodded toward the newcomer. "Is that your sister?"

Roisin looked back at him as she was about thank him, but stopped as he mentioned Axa. She turned to where he was looking. Her smile fell as she cursed under her breath. Roisin downed a shot before getting up. "I'm sorry, I would've stay but I have to go. Before you go, tell Archer to give you something from me. Don't worry about paying anything either or drinking more, I already covered it all." She said before leaving, but stopped. "Thank you, Jude, for spending time with me," Roisin said before walking away to the female dwarf.

"Roisin." The female dwarf mumbled as she rushed over to her. "Outside, Axa. Not here." Roisin said as she walked past Axa, who followed her. The child had let go of Axa's hand and cheerfully went beside his aunt. All three had left the tavern. Archer was busy flirting with a customer nearby and didn't notice anything.

Jude watched Roisin go. He considered following her to give her some support, but, at the end of the day, he was still a visitor to her town. In fact, next week, he was supposed to leave to go back home. He'd wanted to tell her that, but there hadn't been time. So, how much support could he really offer her? Besides, it seemed as though she wanted privacy right now to deal with whatever she needed to deal with. It was curious how strongly she was reacting to her sister-in-law coming to town. What if she had good news? Did people not travel to tell good news? He watched the door thoughtfully and finished his wine, waiting for Archer to not be busy for two seconds.
