He shook Max's hand. "I'm glad to see more civilians alive. You're a badass"


He turned his attention to Tess "after our communication abilities went down, we've dispersed into small Operational Bases. I was at one about twenty miles from a small airport run by the Army and Air Force. We were found and we were being taken to our Operational Base, but our copilot was infected. Long story short, I'm the one with only some bumps and bruises, so I'm trying to get out a call to someone to come pick up my Marines and the pilot."

Max: well hell Jake I'll just have to have to stay here with willow if you can do electrical stuff and adrien if you need a better place for you and your men to stay you all can stay at my settlement there's a doctor there and almost everything but it's definitely better then staying in a old base somewhere but that's up to you you know

Tess looked at Adrian, and she squeezed his hand a little, “ and then…you can come back with me. We can start over and be a family again,” she said softly.

He pulled Tess into his armd and held her. Just for a moment, he felt as if he were on an oasis from the hell that the world had fallen into.

Willow finally realized Max was back. She turned to him and Jake and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, shit. You're back. I was all up in my feels watching this love story play out! I don't have the Lifetime channel anymore, so all my lovey dovey content has to be this now! Y'all find anything?"

(I'm using that as an excuse for not noticing you yet since I'm kinda slow right now.)

“ it is up to you, i cannot hold you back,” whispered Tess as he held her close. It had been 4 months without him. Unsure if she would ever see him again, being told she should move on , and she almost did.

Willow tilted her head with a small smile.

"Explosives, you say? That might come in handy. Please don't smoke around them..."

Willow would leave the group and head towards the backdoor Adrian and Tess came through. She wanted to make sure it was secure and could be a possible entry and exit since the front entrance was blocked.

Max: well I'll let ya hit a joint when we get out to the van after where done oh and there goes willow * max chuckled *

Max: but ya we keep anything flammable away from those explosives ok matter a fact you can go out to the van and light one and watch over the cars ok one time I had my van stolen and then a horde killed the guy who stole it I still have some of the stains in the seats I'll meet you out there in a moment while I check with willow if she wants to make it to the settlement for the night then we can head out to the settlement

"They can't exactly put me in jail for desertion since there is no government left. I'll come, and I'll bring my Marines with me" he said holding her hands. A quick two weeks turned into four months after the military all but fell apart, and he had no way of telling Tess he was alive.

He knelt and he hugged Titus and buried his face into the dog's fur.

Willow made sure everything was clear. This looked like it would be easy to barricade if needed, but could serve them as the entrance. She turned and almost walked right into Max.

"Oh! Hey, you! Yeah... I just wanted to make sure it would be a viable way in and out, or if it needed to be blocked. I think we're good."

She looked past him, towards Adrian and Tess.

"Hey, you should probably take them to the settlement. I doubt they'd get any good sleep here."

Willow looked back to Max and slightly frowned.

"I think I'm going to just stay here... Someone needs to get that radio running. If Adrian can't do it, I'll try again."

*he went to the cars and noticed there was an infected person looking through the van and he ran at them and slammed them to the ground* HEY WHAT THE HELL YOU DOIN*looks and noticed part of their face in ripped off and I start slamming the back of there head into the concrete by the van*

Max: whoa where's the fire * max chuckled a little as willow almost ran into him * max: I honestly don't think they'll even acknowledge where they are they just seem happy to be together * max said looking back at them *

Max: how about I stay you know I'll show show Jake the way as them tow ride with him if they want and then I drive back and I help ya get this place fortified I mean it would make me feel better to know you weren't here alone since it hasn't even really been a day that you've been with people and all

"Aren't you their leader? How will they feel if you're not there come nightfall?"

Willow shrugged at his comment about being around people. She had been used to being alone. She didn't really want to be, but it had been so long. She heard the commotion from outside and grabbed her bat.

"Come on! Somethings going on out there!"

Willow rushed outside and cracked another straggler in the forehead as it shuffled around. As it fell to the ground, she rounded the building just in time to see Jake slam another on onto the concrete.

"You okay, guy?"

Max: I get that but for one they have both sues there a magic girl and the best security women there the folks there will understand if im not there for a night plus- oh shit

* max said as he heard the commotion outside as well following willow and grabbed a peach if plywood that was inside and took it with striking a zombie that was crawling with no legs and would see Jake *
