Sue snickered. "Well, she's not like a 70's radio. But if you like I can hand you a copy of her schematics. If the best you can do is patch her up too, that's fine. I'd understand with the limited stuff you got out here."

Looking at the truck she paused. "So, what kinda parts you need to get that thing working?"

Max: well I can guess that but ya that'll help I'm sure I can get here in. Decent order * he said as he would shuffle around the back of the van and grab some smaller tinkering tools and such *

Max: as much as the van goes the battery doesn't want to start and I have no clue what the radiatorbis doing I haven't quite looked her over since I broke down right here in this spot

* max chuckled as he would light a joint made from the first paper of the Bible that being the thinist paper to use for smoking and lit it as he would then grab a spear battery he had saved pretty well *

max: I have the battery but ya the radiator I have no clue how to get it working again I don't know if I have to try and find a new one thats still in good condition or hopefully it's something simpler you know He said taking a few drags from his Bible joint *

"Hey Sue bot!" Sue called to her baby. The android hopped over to the truck and vaulted up and sat on the base of it.

"Wussup Mommy!" Sue bot kicked her legs! Back and forth they went, while Sue looked over the radiator and the spare battery Max carried.

"Hey baby can you fix that radiator?" Sue bot looked over at the radiator first and her eyes started up a scanning red light over the parts. Some noises blinked and then the beam shut off, and Sue bot looked over at Max. "I got that covered! Need help putting that battery in mister?" She smiled and fluttered!

Sue could cry. "That's my girl. I've been lucky to have Sue bot, but it couldn't have been without A. I'll just call Sue bot's creator A for now, I haven't seen her in ages but, she's out there taking it easy! I'm sure she'd love to meet ya if she could reach these further out areas. But don't you worry! She's doing important things." Sue rubbed her hands together! "Alright Sue bot, why don't you go get started on that radiator and I'll help max with this battery." She helped Max take out the old one and install the new. But after that, she leaned back a little while Max lit up. She eventually got the craving and lit her pipe too while Sue bot got to work~

Sue bot ran around like a tot with her arms out and scanning rays darting around the ground, the tool boxes and, picking up any loose parts she needed to fix the radiator~ she got a wrench, got all her parts together and went to town.

"Sue bot's really a good helper to have around." Sue winked.

* max thought for a second about this mysterious friend of sues so knowing friends are really the only one thing left fighting for in this messed up world he felt sorry for sue and sue bot but while he was thinking he would happily help move the battery with sue since having another person making it easier to switch relived max *

Max: sorry I would offer some but this is kinda my last joint since there's no more rolling pepper had to use the Bible it's self * he laughed a little * max: it doesn't take great couse some of the ink still on the paper but it works and thank you for the help it would've probably taken me like 2 or so hours to get the battery swapped out

* he said as he would take a drag from the joint and offer it to sue * max: go ahead and smoke that for a minute while I go get some of those parts ok

* he said as he would leave the joint with her before running off to get the parts and max would soon finish into the distance of the settlement but unfortunately some of the meaner and nastier folks of the settlement decided to try and see if they could get a good laugh terrorizing the new person *

Stranger 1: well you seem to be getting all comfy and cozy with the boss man there miss how about you come join me and my friend here to are spot we may have something we need fixing *

he said with a gross toothy grin on his face as he would circle sue like a shark basically while stranger two was completely silent standing more near sue bot waiting for stranger one to plan something *

Sue gladly accepted the blunt and nodded to Max. She'd make a mental note to ask about the Bible later, since it seemed important to him. She wondered if he really kept the pages because he wanted to read it, but she waited for him to come back. Meanwhile, she immediately noticed an uneasiness come over her when the two townsfolk approached. If the request to help them fix something weren't suspicious enough, the way the man circled around her gave her bad vibes. She raised her hand to her belly, steadily pressing down, and a blue sphere of light surrounded her.

"Now here's a surprise. You two the welcoming committee?" Sue eyed the one standing near Sue bot more intently. "Your friend would be really dumb to try anything on me now. *succcc*" She took a sip of the joint while she watched Sue bot. "Man, and I really wanted to save the secret weapon for the zombies. You aren't gonna try and hurt my Sue bot, are you?" Sue sighed, letting the smoke leak out like blood from an underwater wound. Meanwhile, Sue bot looked clueless, standing with her eyes crossed.

"What's going on Mommy? Why would anybody hurt Sue bot?" She asked, tilting her head. Sue simply kept her eyes on the woman. "Cause they got a death wish." Sue said, and took another suck.

* max would take a little bit of a moment to grab all the spear parts they had from the shed and once max would start to walk back he would hear the comossion and see the blue light on her chest he would then grab his pistol from his belt buckle and aim it down at the the second stranger and he would get closer in the dark before shooting the stranger next to sue bot in the leg and after he would shoot the second stranger he would then shot the first stranger in the knee causing both of them to fall to the ground in seconds *

Stranger1 : ahh dame what the heck was that * he said in pain looking over at stranger two to see if they were ok max would then slowly walk out of the shadows and stand next to stranger 2 and he would press his foot against the leg wounds causing it to bleed *

Stranger 2: ahhh! What the hell max you shot us what kinda leader are you * he said screaming *

Max: no I wounded you you two will live if the zombies don't get you first * he said as he would start to drag the second stranger to the van and started hogtie him * max: maybe next time you brothers will think twice before messing with the new company that can actually do something here instead of you two hillbillies all you two know is how to make moonshine and that's it

* he said in a deep low and angry voice a side of max that doesn't come out much he would then take the second stranger and carry him to the gate before coming back and dragged the first one next to him and he would then indicate to open the gate and would would toss them both out *

Max: now get the hell out of here before I shoot you dead and we leave you as bait * he said from the other side of the gate while it closed and the brothers shuffled away as much as they could into the distance*

Sue bot stood still, surprised as the man next to her collapsed. Sue took a pensive breath. She didn't expect Max to get back so soon, nor to dispatch of the guys so quickly. But she quietly watched as Max dragged the two out, grateful that they at least posed no more threat to Sue bot. She hurried over to calm the nervous android when the two troublemakers were out of the way, and led her to the truck to sit down.

"Are you alright baby?" Sue asked her bot as she disabled her forcefield. Sue bot nodded. "Why did Max hurt those guys?" the innocent Sue bot asked, confused and childlike. She didn't understand what made Max do that, but Sue brushed her cheek and rested her fingers under Sue bot's chin to help her relax.

"He was protecting us." Sue told her. "So you thank him when he comes back, alright?"

Sue bot nodded. "Ok mommy. I'm sorry I got in their way though. I didn't mean to make those guys hostile towards us."

Sue looked at her with sad eyes. "You didn't do anything wrong, Sue bot. There's nothing to be sorry for. Those two... they're messed up. They're... broken. We're in a messed up, broken world right now, and some people, they just... don't act right. You know, like a defective bot. You've seen a defective bot, how they act all crazy and erratic. But broken people, they're worse than zombies. And they're worse than defective bots."

Sue bot blinked. Still curious, she looked at Sue for a long time before asking, "How do I know when somebody's a broken person?"

Sue quietly looked down. But when she picked her head up again and looked Sue bot in the eyes... she put a hand on Sue bot's shoulder and gave it a rub. "You don't, Sue bot. Not usually." She sighed. "You don't. But that's why you have me. I'll always be watching your back, baby. And Max... well... Max knows his people. He's looking out for us too. Just stay close to me, ok?"

Sue waited for the confirmation, and Sue bot nodded. "Okay mommy." Sue sighed again, and she felt Sue bot's glass hair. Sue asked for Sue bot's hand and got her to stand. Then she led Sue bot over to meet Max and looked at Sue bot. "Go on now." she told her bot.

"Thanks, Max... for protecting me and mommy." Sue nodded. "That's my girl. Thanks, Max."

* max was still sorta in a blind rage when he was standing there not hearing sue bot at first before taking a a second to realize his surroundings *

Max: o-oh um ya no problem sue bot just uh ... Sorry I don't normally uh well act that way * he said rubbing the back of his head in almost exhaustion from his actions * max: are you two ok I'm sorry about those two they um weren't stable we found them in a old rotten cabin making shine and we'll the only reason they were here were to make super potent molitoves so that was there ticket of safety but I should've known they would try something like that * max said as he would get almost reminders of his father being the same way to his mother so it would couse max to bring up some hardship * max: just ah don't think that I'm some sick like jerk who throws anyone out ok just Im perfective of anyone and especially we on and children
* he said as he would then crouch in front of sue bot * max: listen I know you probably have some like crazy robotic weapons and such but here
* he would then hold out a old withered pocket knife it funny enough was shaped like a gun but if you flipped the blade open it was a knife * max: if you or your mom have anymore issues with anyone you keep the knife closed to make someone this it's a gun band it'll work good for the element of surprise * he said as he would give it to her and then ruffle sue bots hair before standing up *
max: come on let's go back to the van no point standing around by the gate

* he said as he felt a little ashamed to do such actions in front of a child even if they were a robot he could tell the emotion in her he would then look at sue and give her a look that said sorry * max: I understand if your not happy with me so you don't need to worry about me not taking in your opinion you know

Verla had disappeared for a bit before she came back outside, pulling out a cigarette as she walked up to the wall and walked up the stairs to the lift that overlooked the wall, something she typically did before she went to bed, just to give her some peace of mind despite the place being surrounded by a big and sturdy wall, she had seen tougher walls fall to the dead that walked the earth. She took out some matches from her back pocket, and lit her cigarette. Taking a couple drags off it, she turned and walked down the stairs and went over to sit in one of the outside rocking chairs. She rocked back and forth a bit to calm her nerves as she took another drag and looked up at the moon as she let it out. She took a few deep breaths before she closed her eyes to relax and take a break before she went to bed.

*ax without much to say after saying sorry for his actions in front of sue he would then take a moment to himself as he would walk off to the top railings of the walls himself and light another Bible paper joint to hopefully calm himself down a bit before getting himself back together *

Max: ugh max you idiot why do I have to be in charge of this stuff I mean hell I've never been a leader I don't know what I'm doing * he said as he would run his fingers threw his hair rubbing his head * max: just focused on the horse max that's all I need to do to keep these people safe
* he said to himself as he would take a few long drags of his joint and whatcha the moon it was a full moon out so it was a lot clearer then other nights *max: hell I bet this is how Rick felt in the walking dead * he said with a soft chuckle to his dumb joke of struggle *

Sue watched the way Max apologized on Sue bot's level.

"Hey, Sue bot. Would you finish the repairs on the van for me? I'll keep my eye on you, ok? I just wanna go talk to Max for a little bit. You gonna be ok?"

Sue bot smiled and saluted! "Yeah! I got it mommy! I'll keep on the lookout for zombies too!"

"Good girl. You hold onto that knife Max gave you, ok? But don't point it at anyone unless they try to touch you, ok? Not everyone is bad... or broken. Ok? Just don't let anyone touch you."

"Okay!" Sue bot said, grinning.

Sue smiled back and chuckled, before she gave Sue bot a one-armed hug. "Good girl. Mommy will be right back."

Sue went up to go see Max while she periodically looked back to check on Sue bot, who carried on repairing the van. She heard him laughing a little, which made her smile. He seemed lighter than before. "Hey, what's up?" She asked, raising a hand to wave. "You feeling alright? I appreciated that apology... really. But... I think I can trust you to make the right calls when they're needed. Honestly... if you hadn't intervened... those two would've suffered way worse if they even laid a finger on Sue bot."

* Max wasn't expecting sue to come up to him and talk but he would gladly respond back to her wave and her words of his leadership *

Max: well I mean I guess your right about that you hurting them worse then what I did I just don't know if I'm making right calls or not I mean now I just threw out the bast defense for the walls of this place couse nobody else can make moonshine to make those militoves but I didn't want them to couse anymore trouble to the other survivers because then maybe more people would be at my throat if i didn't throw them out so i guess im just stressed but who isn't these days

* he said as he would take a drag of the bible paper joint before offering it to sue *

Sue accepted the blunt with a calm hand and held it for a second. "Heh! Guys like that? You did make the right choice. They would've caused trouble eventually." She pressed blunt to her lips and took a steady inhale. Breathing out, she placed her free hand on her hip and offered to pass it. "You're looking at your new best defense, anyhow. Maybe I haven't made a molotov before, but Sue bot can probably study their moonshine station if you show her to it. She can pretty much learn how anything works just by looking at it. Then? We'll be drinkin quality shine, AND making your molotovs. How's that sound?"

* max would take the joint back and inhild the smoke a couple of times as he would be interested in sues response* max: well maybe your right about that you being are new defense still I have yet to see what your blue little light thing does , but I mean if she can do that then she could honestly help with a lot of things here like the power to the wall lights and the makeshift garage we've made if that's the case then perfect but I'd have to assume sue bot needs materials and such to work on stuff right.

* Max said as he would pass the joint back to sue as he would lean against the railing of the wall *

Sue smiled and hit the joint~ "You got yourself a deal, capt. Glad I can save the secret weapon for the horde! It would've been spoiled on those losers if you hadn't stepped in." She took another drag and handed it~

"Now that book you have doesn't look like it's just for wrapping joint. Heh, do you read it?" she smiled curiously!

* max chuckled at her remark of using her weapon on the dumb brothers and then laughed a little more from the question she asked *

Max: well I can't say I don't believe that stuff but I'm not going to be all praise jesus and such when I was younger my mom would take me and her to church so that I could see other kids and at least have a fun time while I wasn't at home plus it got her out of a bad couple situations her self so I was given one you know like any other person who went to church but I was never like going to make it my hole life but then I want to say about a month or two in the end of days it came in handy couse I learned this trick from a video game you can use the first page of the Bible as any rolling peper so I did use the one from my child who'd at first but then I would find other bibles that weren't soaked in water or torn and use those so it's a ok alternative besides the taste of ink it's not bad * he said with a chuckle *

Max: you know I'll have to introduce you to the women in charge of a few things of pertecting the wall her name is verla we knew each other from time to time before stuff went bad so if you want to help her with pertecting this place I'll introduce ya she's just down there at the rocking chairs

* he said pointing a little ways away from the wall to verla sleeping in the chair minding her business *

THWACK, CRACK, SNAP

"Wham, bam, alakazam! And another one bites the dust!"

Willow said as she cracked the reanimated radio jockey across his, once alive, but now dead, face.

A clicking sound could be heard by anyone in Willow's immediate area, which would be no one. As she flipped a switch in an abandoned radio station, static could be heard across any radio that happened to be on. Her finger tapped the mic a couple of times, and she cleared her throat before speaking.

"Hellooooooo, potential denizens of Zombieton! That's the name of this place now, non-negotiable. Unless, of course, someone has a more catchy name for it!"

The station was very static and it would probably be kinda hard to make out anything Willow was rambling about, but she tried anyway.

"I'ma be your entertainment for the next little while, so enjoy! Let's talk politics! Fiiiiirst caller, you're on the air!"

Obviously, there really was no caller. But Willow winged it.

"What? No, no! The world is fine! It's just...fine! Stop being so silly! What's that? You love my show? Gee golly! You really know how to make a girl giddy, don't ya? Wait, what? Not my show? Wow... rude ass. WHAT? NO-FRACKIN'-WAY! I did NOT steal the station. The last radio jockey just stepped down, for... personal reasons! The generator doesn't even have much juice left. So stop talking crap and enjoy me while ya can! Next caller!"

As Willow talked to no one at all, she was clearly trying to entertain anyone who happened to be tuning in.

* Max would wait on sues response but while he was waiting for her answer if she wanted to meet verla he would hear the faint crackle of another person on the walkie talky he had been carrying in his pocket forgetting it was broken and out of shape for a little while now all he could really hear is the faint crackle of a women who was causing a commotion on the radio a women Max had been familiar with before the settlement was bult *

Max: whoa uh hold on sue I don't mean to not introduce you to verla but well the walky talky this thing hasn't made a noise in I don't even know how long do you think you could fix it or sue bot * max said curiesly *

Willow tapped the mic again.

"Is this thing on? Caller two, my sources say that you enjoy long walks on the beach and starry nights! That's so romantic...BLECH! Get outta here with that sappy crap!"

Willow noticed a piece of paper on the table. It was a hand drawn map, probably of the area she was in.

"Huh, neat. I think I found a treasure map! That, or the location of someone's buried gym socks!"

As she leaned back in the chair, one of the legs snapped causing her to fall. It would be possible for someone to hear the commotion over the radio. She would stand back up and brush the dirt off of her legs.

"I'm OKAAAAAY! That was, uh... That was just part of the skit, yeah... N-no need to worry."

About that time the power began to flicker. She could use this place to communicate with people, but she would have to maintain the generator.

"Shit... I guess that's all the time we have for today, folks. The producer says we're off the air! Tune in tomorrow. Same whack time, same whack channel! Love ya, kiddos! Mwah!"

With that, the station went off the air and only static would be heard on the radios, if any even were working. Willow sighed as she slumped to the floor wrapping her arms around her knees, pulling them close to her chest. She looked over to the radio jockey and chuckled.

"Well, damn. That was fun while it lasted. No wonder you guys used to sound like you were having fun! Cause it is fun!"

The radio jockey gurgled and twitched. Willow hadn't unalived him, just immobilized him for the time being.

* max would lead the way back to his van from where sue was and he would call to verla when he would walk past her to come see him near the van *

Max: well it can't be that hard this thing is only a walky talky alot easier then a stario system* he said as he would start messing with the walkie and unscrewed some small screws and rewired some cords and such and then the signal was coming out sorta clearer he would hear the fall of the women on the radio *

Max: what is this lady's game she sounds like someone off of uhf or something

* he said as he would then try to speak into it *
max: hello? Miss can you hear me
* he said as he would wait for a good moment after hearing her supposedly sign off

* max: hello! Are you still there miss

* he said trying a few more times to see if it works or not *
