I'm not sure if anyone else has asked this or not but I figured I would ask anyway. So I was wondering if the messages on the guestbook get deleted when enough newer ones are posted to it. Or do they stay recorded forever, you just have to look for the older ones? I do apologize if the questions are a bit confusing.
Edit: I'm adding another question to the same feature.
Is there a text limit that will fit within the comment box?

I think they stay forever graved and carved into the depth of your guestbook. I have still all the entries on my guestbook. But maybe I don’t have enough to say there is a showing limit.
Thank you. If there is a limit, then I'll find out sooner or later. Again though, thank you.
I don't think there is a limit on how many guestbook messages a character can have. There is a setting on the guestbook widget that can be set for how many are shown (5, 10, 15, or 20) along with who can comment (Everyone, Registered Users, Friend Only).
If your guestbook entries go higher than the display number selection, a link at the bottom of the entries saying 'show older entries' or something like that displays where you can view them. I also discovered recently that you can have more than one guestbook widget for a character, unlike the journal widget.

Thank you! I appreciate the additional information you able to provide.

I appreciate that very much. Again, thank you.
Another question about the guestbook feature came to mind, so I edited my initial post to include that as well. But to reiterate, is there a text limit for each comment? Or can I write massive amounts as needed?

I'm curious about this question myself as far as the guestbook and the journal widget goes.
I did dive deep into the 'Random' widget last year and discovered it had a limit of 9890 characters or thereabouts.
I think a group forum will take around 65000 characters in a post. Anyway, watching this as we await Kim's input.
I was unaware of there being a limit on the journal widget. Thank you for mentioning that!
As for the group forum having a higher limit, that does make sense. Especially when posts there go straight into lengthy novella territory. I'll keep watching this thread as well.

I'm not a vetran on this website but on other platforms that have this feature, I have seen that the messages don’t disappear automatically when new ones are posted. They remain till the character owner deletes them.
There has to be a text limit and limit can be set by site developer. As a need, it makes sense for groups to have larger limits.
Like Mr Blue said, its for Kim to give the final word.
