I thought about the seed pods we already had in the past and got one from the armory. It doesn't count for this one, so we need to keep searching

These ones seem like they need to be alien, specifically - maybe the walrus companies might find them in the wreckage of the ship's cargo hold? The first comic seems to indicate as much.

Just found out: When you enter the crafting interface you can see every item and what they look like!
