SH-A1 (played by MisterGravity)

Welcome to the Salvation RP!

*WARNING*
BECAUSE OF THE SETTING THIS RP CONTAINS: VIOLENCE, GORE, FOUL LANGUAGE AND MINOR SEXUAL CONTENT

Because of this, the topic will be moved to the forum in the Salvation Group.
You can find it here

Everyone is up to join, but ask first so that you don't get into something that will be completly different than your character.

Before we start I'll just get over some details. For starters, the setting is defined and has a large amount of backstory and history. Still leaves from for your own backstories, it is a big galaxy after all. Before you write anything I suggest you read some of the lore.
Either here
Or here

This setting operates on an alignement free basis. In short; your character's alignement doesn't mean squat, only its actions. You define your own morality as does every other being in the Salvation Universe. Every alien species follows a different morality and some are outright psychopaths if compared to our morality.

But, let us begin!

The sun shone through the azur blue sky, onto the century old stones that made up the city suburbs. In the distance silver plated spires shimmered, but to get there you would have to pass a massive wall and several checkpoints armed by humorless guards. Some of them still moved around the bazaar, grey and gleaming figures sticking out amongst the more roughed up inhabitants.
The stone buildings had modern technology bolted onto them in a way that made them look like metallic parasites nested on the, by time, rouch and scared surfaces. Holographic banners, jutting pictures out from their screens, showed that the city was governed by the ISA.
Today the bazaar was teeming with people of all sorts. Merchants yelling that their wares were the best on Grechok, the planet they had their feet, paws and tentacles on. Other more shifty looking businessmen offered their services in the damp alleys and old wooden chariots dragged by equally ancient robots with basic programming sometimes broke the mass of people into two.
Right in the center of a plaza, in the middle of the seas of people and shores of tents, stood a monument rising up to the sky. It was made of a stone greyer than the yellowish rocks the houses were made in and was made to look like a bizzare jellyfish standing on four massives tentacles and four eyes on one side, made to glare at the passing citizens. Needless to say; it was covered in all manners of graffiti, from sprayed to cut to shot on the statue. It was all manners of slurs, names and occasional poetry. One of the newest stood in red:
What are you if you have eaten god?
This was answered in following; Are you high?, Very fat, Another god?,There is no god, Wow what a ray of sunshine you are.
[MOD EDIT: Please don't use foul language on the public forums. :> Regards, Ben.]
This was not at all associated with the man found having stabwounds some nights ago. Not at all.
Either way, the bazaar was a paradise for the entire spectrum of illegal activites. So it didn't come as a suprise when the dozen of mercenaries, assassins, hitmen and rouge spies got a message on their personal pads, tools, messanger, screens or brain communicator.

Good afternoon my dear professionals. I have a business proposition for you. A rather annoying human diplomat called Balder Huang, whose policies are discriminating to say at least. He wants to minimize your liberties. In layman terms; no more pretty shops for your tools of trade. All the more hushhush, which means more expensive, which means you loose money. I'm therefore putting a bounty on anyone who might observe a lethal accident of Mr Huangs. He should arrive soon with a cadre of bodyguards, nothing too taxing I except. The bounty is around 20 000 credits and don't forget to take pictures<3. Have a nice afternoon! Ciao.

DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!!1! If you kill Balder, it will cause a diplomatic incident that will make them more powerful. I can't offer as much as their agent, but I know it will be less difficult without trying to take on Riot Enforcers, which is Balder's bodyguards. Since he is human, he won't get a lot of support and- JUST DON'T CAUSE THIS KIND OF CHAOS! That's what they want you to do!

While some of the "professionals" at the bazaar knew who the messengers were, others did not and some even asked who they were.
Xeres (played by 0V3RL0RD-P4RR0T)

A Large purple blue and black war mech walked through the bazaar. Mechs like it haven't been seen before, butit was clearly not made by the Nexus. It had begun tracking the messages it'd received. it didn't care who or what 'they' were. All that mattered was its prime directive, to kill. It was built to kill, to destroy, to fight. But its creators were whiped out before its deployment. It was reactivated some time ago by some archaeologists, and had since taken up the job of a mercenary.

The mech soon found Shaun. "You requested a 'gun for hire'?"Xeres asked in a deep, metallic, monotone voice. Its five yellow optics gazed down at Shaun as it awaited the man's answer.
Artemis (played by Harvest)

Artemis stood at a distance from the Mech. She knew they both saw the messages, but she doubted that they had the same intention. She stuck to watching the Mech for now. A single orange, white, and blue figure not moving in the sea of people. A rock in a violent storm.
Dominic Conaugh (played anonymously)

If anyone took notice of the blind man in a neatly cared for, but out of date uniform of the short lived Expeditionaries, they only did so for a moment. Where two years before, a man with that uniform on a planet like this would have been either assaulted on sight, or (more likely) shied away from for fear of reprisal; This one was given neither deference or a wide berth on this planet. And why should he? The Expeditionaries were gone. Another blip on the galactic map.

Of course, the fact that the man was wearing a blue cloth over his burned out eyes and following a metal sphere may have also had something to do with it...
Dominic grunted and shook his head slightly as the twin messages were sent out over the public broadcast band. Every hour or so another one would open up, and J.A.C.K, his guidesphere would speak into his ear via the receiver implanted there. He wasn't interested in any bounty of this kind, but depending on the actual politics of the diplomat, he might consider acting as an escape option for an interested party...
"J.A.C.K. find everything you can on this Huang. And check the list of mercs who took the job. See if anyone needs a pilot. And this time don't tell them about my injury."
SH-A1 (played by MisterGravity) Topic Starter

The masses moved out of the way from the large mech that stood before a terrified merchant currently serving a damaged drone, one of its spiderly legs malfunctioning. A mechanical laughter sounded through its clogged speakers.

sh_a1_by_isakthegrey-d87aka9.png"You really are a newcomer or do you lack a program for subtility? I guess there is no harm in introducing myself to something as tasteless. So please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long year. Stole many a man's soul and faith. A bit of advice from one AI to another; being blunt about killing people? Not such a good idea."
Shaun or SH-A1 was known to most in the criminal world as a ruthless information broker and data-courir. For who else was better to deliver data safely than a program itself?

While this took place, some of the aliens looked at the humans in the sea of bodies with contempt. Some had had family killed or ancestors enslaved by humans. They expressed their disgust by spitting near them.

But no matter how much the people despised humans, they were allowed to move freely. A military grade killer machine?
Not so much.

One of the officers had taken notice and strolled to the merchant's tent and pointed with a three digited hand towards the drone and towards Xeres. The whole of the officer's body was clad in metallic armor and its face covered by a tinted visor.
"Sir, do you have permission for those two?"
"E-ehm. Yes, for the drone. But not for, ehm." The merchant gestured towards Xeres. "But it's not mine! It just came here and I think it hacked my drone!"
"Please calm down sir. If you could give me your permission, thank you." With a gesture to its helmet, the officer activated its upplink. "I request back up, we might have a rouge droid here. Understood."
The officer turned its attention towards Xeres.
"Where's your owner?"

Artemis in turn found herself staring in to the visor of another officer which had noticed her interest in his colleague's investigation. With a rifle in hand he motioned Artemis to go away.
"Nothing to see here citizen. Move along."

Dominic would have no luck in finding out how many or whom had decided to take either bounty. There was no list to sign, only the offer hanging in the air.

On Balder Huang however, the information flowed. He was a human born into the diplomatic and political life. There were a lot of details about him but what was important was his ideology. Balder was a socialist in a liberal society and wanted to enforce rules and regulations for the safety of the public. He was going to hold a speech on the plaza, next to its hideous statue.
Xeres (played by 0V3RL0RD-P4RR0T)

Xeres glanced over at the officer. It examined the officer. "I have no owner organic."Xeres said in its normal monotone voice. "I am not a servant mech. I am a war mech."Xeres explained. "My kind granted war mechs un-restricted access to their cities and organic facilities and were granted full citizen status.
Artemis (played by Harvest)

Artemis stared at the officer for a moment. "I believe I wish to buy something from this man." She replies. "I was hoping to wait until... That was finished." She bluffed. She just hoped to stay a bit longer. Her hood was up, but the glint of metal on both sides of her head were obvious. "Just picking up metals and such for my construction workers."
Dominic Conaugh (played anonymously)

After a few minutes, Dominic was informed by his Guidsphere that there were no current listings of mercenaries who had taken the Huang job. That could be problematic of course. But not completely debilitating. Dominic decided that perhaps finding out where Huang was to land might be a good decision. He also input to J.A.C.K to send a message to originator of the first call. Whatever else happened here he wanted to be in the know.
