Hybrid Elder (played by Kyra45)

''I don't think this worked out right. This thing isn't at all what we made. It's got a tail! You said this was supposed to be a cure for many things. Not a monster!''

Flinching from hearing those words echo, the seemingly human figure opens it's dark eyes, clenching it's fist tightly in anger. Resting upon a well weathered bench in some thriving city of human, lied this creation from an experiment gone horribly wrong. When it's eyes were ever closed, all this individual ever saw was flashbacks. Haunting it's mind. It then rises to a sitting position, blades on arms cutting the bench slightly, as it looked out to the crowd.

The city was fairly crowded, streets bustling with humans and others that had blended in well with society. It seemed to be an average busy New Years day.

What had started out as a typical boring day seemed to be picking up. Kumi hated days like this. People rushed by her florist shop, giggling and laughing. It seemed more people were out than usual today. Their happiness only reminded her of her own gloom. It had been two years since she decided to move on with her life, and she felt no better today then the day she made up her mind. She continued making her rounds, squirting a plant here and a flower there with water, glaring at the plant all the while. "You'll never know gloom. You'll never know pain. And you, pretty little rose...well-you are the very symbol for love." She said bitterly. She dreaded the coming holiday, Valentines. She had been determined to make this a good year, she told herself, shaking her head. She sighed, setting the sprayer down on the counter and smoothing the front of her dress.

Kumi titled her head as she gazed outside. Those crowds of people seemed to pause at a bench, before moving on. Curiousity got the better of her, and she stuck her head out the door. It was a chilly day, even for the island's standards. She wrinkled her nose, trying to crane her neck to get a view of what the fuss was about. She caught words here and there. Monster. An inpulse caused her to rush forward, shoving through the crowd. Whatever it was, whoever it was, did not deserve to be gawked at. She of all people understood this.

Kumi had seen many things in her life, but nothing quite prepared her for this. This creature, with blades on its arms and a tail, and those dark, mysterious eyes. Her breath caught in her throat, but she remembered her manners. She would not be one of the gawkers! Didn't anyone have any common sense these days? She could tell the creature was some sort of humanoid, or at the very least something inside her connected with it.

Shifting its harsh glaze upwards at a sound, the creature peers from the bench it rested on, bladed tail raised slightly. A few people inched away from it once it moved, noticeably because it had..Fur. Fur. Not human skin, but fur. Three horns glistened from its face, a dark red and dark purple eye looking out from a face wounded and stitched together in a rugged but tough form. Humanoid in a basic stature, yet this tail it had wasn't quiet an issued standard society had grown with.

It looks at the one girl who hadn't moved an inch, with a hint of curiosity. Its tooth mouth opened slightly, but then closed as quickly. It hadn't known that such an endearing crowd had appeared until recently. But seeing this feminine human who wasn't laughing at it seemed to cheer it up, but not by much. It opens it mouth once again, and spoke with a roughened voice.

''Sush a lared creowd of surveving humeans....Laeghing at me...Theese is whey I hate theam so.''

The words spoken by the creature jarred Kumi. She felt her stomach drop, and a sickening feeling creep in her mind. She opened her mouth to speak in defense of her race, but found she had nothing. She was left standing there, mouth in a small 'o'. She pulled her hands up to her chest, knotting them in a nervous way like she did. A few passersby seemed to move on, amazingly bored with whatever this was. She caught a few whispers on the wind. "That's her. Can't hardly blame him, she's so akward. Shh! That's not nice! Well I never cared for her anyways. What has SHE ever done? She doesn't even belong here..."

Her brown eyes wrenched closed and she felt disgrace and pain wash over her body. There had been a time when she had mingled with these very people, and was their Queen. They had adored her. After she split from the corrupted King, the truth came out. The fickle nature of the human was to ignore that which wasn't interesting. And they soon found that without a crown on her head, Kumiko was very boring indeed.

She suddenly felt a kinship with the creature. "Yes, humans are vile, I agree." She said. She made a point to go and be as bold as sit down on the bench beside the creature. She looked briefly into its eyes, before looking away. Try as she might, they still spooked her. Kumi found it difficult to look into anyone's eyes for long, she found she only saw the stares of pity, or nosy opinions. How odd this must seem, for her to just sit beside this creature she had never known. After the violent war with aliens on the land, she found herself wondering if this was one of them, fallen to Earth. She almost felt her courage fail her, she almost felt herself stand up and abruptly run back into the shop. But if she did...how would that be different from any other miserable day? "My name is Kumiko. One of the hopefully less cruel humans." She said. This time, she made a point to gaze into the creature's face. She still wasn't quite sure if this was evil or good.

What she could see was a face covered in many stitches and scars, the mouth barely visible within the loose fur. The eyes seemed cold and harsh, feeling of a undying hate towards the humans.

''Mey....Name eis....Hybrid Elder.....'' It stammered, coughing harshly afterwards. It seemed frail for its type. It raised its head to face her gaze again, shaking nervously. No one had dared to ever sit beside it. This girl must have been brave, to sit beside it and not show any fear. Sure the humans sometimes hated it, mainly for its eery glare. Most had ran in fear when they glimpsed its arms that bore blades. Yet here was a girl who sat beside it, despite its feirce appearance. Was she really, truly, a human that was not as cruel as those that mocked it daily?

It lifted a clawed hand up lightly, then held it out to her cautiously, the claws folded.

She watched with anticipation as the creature moved a hand towards her. She did not flinch, but she was still sitting very stiffly, her back a straight board against the bench. The name pinged around in her brain for a few moments, and she tried to grasp any knowledge of anything called "hybrid" or "elder". Nothing registered. After a moment, the smallest of gentle smiles made its way across her face. She took both hands and wrapped them around the hand of the creature. She applied only the most delicate amount of energy needed to convey a handshake. After all, it was obvious this Hybrid Elder had several battle scars, and the last thing she wanted to do was cause it to shriek out in pain.

Now that the Hybrid had introduced itself, Kumi found herself more at ease. She still maintained the cautious edge, as this was the first meeting. She would be a fool to warmly welcome anyone, she constantly told herself. But this creature did not seem evil, it was polite enough to make conversation with her. Kumi tilted her head, biting her lip as she often did when thinking. Years of training and being forced into the Queen role had taught her the best of hospitality. The Elder was pulling on her heartstrings already, as she listened to it cough and stammer. There must be something she could do to help.

"Hybrid Elder, would you care for something to eat? Or drink? I am the shop keeper of the florist stand." She gave a brief nod towards the shop. To most it would seem shabby, and it was true it barely warranted a second look most days. However, it was her home, her livelyhood. She found curious questions in her mind. What exactly did it eat? Would it realize how silly she must of sounded by asking for comfort items that would appear from a flower store? "Well, there's not food in there...I mean not a lot. I have some snacks." She said brightly, her cheeks flushing as she put on an akward grin.

As she took its hand, she could feel the fine white fur on it. The claws were still sharp, but not too sharp. Sharp enough to easily cut a few small vines. It nodded nervously, still cautious. Before the 'experiment' had been done on it, it was a human. A human of proud heritage, one whom would do anything to help someone else. But after the disastrous after-effect of the test, the poor human no longer held that same outlook. Others fled in pure terror at its sight, or the few who stood to mock it never were able to survive the wounds they ended up with.

''F..eeod..?'' It hissed roughly, almost in a puzzling tone. With memories still gone, the poor creature no longer knew of most terms. It was indeed a lost one, unable to recall anything after transforming. It was hungry, but for what? It's stomach mearly growled in reply too, the H. Elder wincing slightly from a mild sense of hunger hitting too. It looked back up at the girl the best it could, despite the slow agonizing pain hitting its stomach even now.

''Sna..eks?'' It hissed again, teeth gritted.
