Parrot flew through the wasteland on the outskirts of the Fabled Zone. Recent;y a few Elsen went missing, and he wanted to be sure they weren't in the Wasteland. Thankfully all the Elsen in the Fabled Zone knew to avoid the Lighthouse's gaze. The lighthouse was a massive spire-like structure that normally spent its time out by the plastic sea, but it could get up and move if it wanted to. Its eyes gave out a spot light. The specters and ghouls that lived in the wasteland were constantly running from the light out, or else they'd be eaten alive. "IS ANYBODY OUT HERE?!"Parrot called.
Amaya had just warped into this world haphazardly through her clan's shrine, landing with a muffled "Oomph!" into the ground of the wasteland. A small twinkling object that resembled a miniature version of the shrine floated behind her, before a crackle of energy and light caused it to disappear. "Ugh, what..." she stood, brushing the dirt off herself, "Where in the heck is this?" Amaya took in the scenery, it was the most foreign world she'd ever been in. "Uhh... right." Turning around to find the object missing, she went into a panic and started frantically searching, even digging, for it. "No no no, I can't be stuck here..." There were no signs of life and she hated being alone more than anything.
Amaya would only barely be able to see due to how dark the Wasteland seemed to be. Oddly, it never seemed to get brighter. The light from the Lighthosue soon turned. The area around Amaya was illuminated with a bright yellow hot light. Surrounding the girl were various specters and ghouls, such as the common specters, upside down specters, fat specters, Januaries, Von Gacies, and Magnolias. All the Specters and ghouls instantly scattered when the light shown on them. The lighthouse leto ut a tired groan as the ground began to shake.
Temporarily blinded, Amaya drew and lifted her sword as she took to the skies, attempting to escape the warm spotlight. She poured energy into the blade, cooling the air around it and keeping it near where the heat had nearly singed her skin just moments before. Whenever she got the chance, Amaya looked to where the spotlight was coming from and tried to analyze it using her left eye. 'That thing is walking?' It was definitely coming towards her. She exerted energy from her other eye, causing a blast of fire to appear at the source of light.
The Light house raised into the sky, with its gaze soon following after Amaya. The blast of flames didn't seem to do anything as the ground shook. The Lighthouse groaned once more as its large column like feet slammed into the ground, squashing what ever poor ectoplasmic manifestation was unlucky enough to be under it. Out of the Light houses sides rose a pair of arms with sharp, stone-like claws.
Parrot glanced over at the Lighthouse, soon seeing Amaya in its gaze. He yelped and bolted towards her, tackling her out of the light. The Lighthouse's light follwoed after Parrot, with the Elsen only just barely being able to keep out of the light. He got close to the ground and grabbed a rock, quickly throwing it off in the distance. When the rock landed the light hosue immediately shot its light over to the rock. The lighthouse looked around, seemingly confused, before its arms retreated back to its side and the massive creature slammed back into the ground, assuming it stationary mode.

She would have retaliated but it was clear the bird-man knew what he was doing. Amaya'd been confused for half a second that one of her clan came to get her, if only she were that lucky. "Uh, thanks..." she gently escaped the guy's hold after seeing the lighthouse settle down. "Good thing it's not too smart, huh?" Looking at him, big blank eyes and the parrot's bill hanging over his forehead, like a cowl more than anything, and the facial structure nothing like any other human she'd seen before. His skin was pale too. "So... what's your name and where are we?" The guy didn't seem too perplexed by her being there, in fully winged form, too. That was a relief, and certainly not the normal reaction she got from humans.
While Parrot wasn't perplexed by Amaya's presence, he certainly wasn't calm. He held his hand over his heart wheezing frantically. With every exhale, black smoke seemed to escape him, as well as seemingly even coming off of him. His eyes wide and locked on the Lighthouse. The lighthouse getting up and eating some specter or ghoul wasn't all that unusual, from a distance atleast. There have only been a few times Parrot was as close as he currently was to the Lighthouse, and even fewer times that it actually moved whilst he was in the wasteland. "W-We've gotta get out of here!"Parrot said in a very panicked tone. "If he sees us again we're doomed!"Parrot added, still staring at the Lighthouse.
'What a weird place...' Amaya couldn't tell if the smog was bad for him, natural, or just an effect of the panicked state he was in. She was confident that she could beat the thing if needed, but at the same time, she had no clue if the little guy might suffer a heart attack. "Alright, lead the way then!" She turned her blade around a little, trying to show that she'd defend them if necessary.
Parrot nodded and took off in the direction of the only light in the area, not counting the light house. The lights were coming from what seemed to be a city in the distance. It wasn't that long of a walk as the two soon came to the city. "D-Did you find htem?" a queit voice asked as Parrot landed. Before the two was a small crowd of beings similar in appearance to parrot, though they lacked the parrot cowl Parrot wore. Parrot sighed and shook his head. "If they're out in the wasteland it might be days before we can find them."Parrot said sadly. The small crowd of Elsen soon disbanded in disappointment. "Uh.. W-Welcome to the Fabled Zone by the way."Parrot said.
She hadn't realized they were missing people. And from what she'd seen, it wasn't like they'd have much of a chance against that lighthouse-monster. "Thank you, and thanks for saving me," she added the last bit of gratitude a bit hastily and with a quick glance at the ground. And now she finally knew where she was. "I'm Amaya, by the way, and you are?"
"Uh... e-everyone just calls me Parrot Elsen, or just Parrot."Parrot replied. While he wasn't surprised by Amaya's appearance, he could tell she wasn't from around the area. "You're not from around here are you?"Parrot asked. "I-If you're not I'll need to take you to Mr. Dill. He doesn't like new people coming to the Fabled Zone and not being told about it...."Parrot said.
"No, I'm not..." she always hated this part, "I'm actually from another dimension, or universe or whatever you want to call it." She used her magic to make the wings and mask disappear, hopefully reducing at least some of the outlandishness of her appearance. This revealed her to have pale violet eyes, nearly gray. "And I mean, if you have to. I should probably warn you I'm not good with authority, though."
"Well, regardless Mr. Dill will want to meet you."Parrot said sheepishly. "His office is up on the top floor of the Tower."Parrot said, pointing to a very tall building in the center of the Fabled Zone. "While we get there I can give you a short tour."Parrot said.
Amaya smiled and nodded, "Yeah, that'd be good." She was eager to get her bearings in this place, and hopefully after meeting this Mr. Dill she could find a place to eat then start looking for her artifact to get back home.
"Well, like I said, this is the Fabled Zone."Parrot said as he began to walk to the Tower. "The Fabled Zone's main Export is Movies. Currently we have districts that focus on producing cameras, actors, the movies themselves, and the movie disks, as well as the Movie players."Parrot said, as he and Amaya went through the town. "Once we have a movie disc and a movie player we ship it off to another Zone. The most common purchasers of our discs and players are the Elsen who live in Zone 2. Though we do have shipments sent to the other two Zones. AS the last of five Elements, Movies are the most important, because with out movies nobody would ever have any fun and they'd be sad and depressed all the time."Parrot explained as he and Amaya finally arrived at the Tower.
Amaya listened with interest, she was always curious to learn about other worlds. She was about to ask something but stopped short when Parrot mentioned elements, "Huh? Movies are elements here?" She looked a little perplexed, and almost sad. There had been no trees, grass, or flowers since she came to this world. Even the ocean seemed made of something else than water, and the ground was hard and strong as her blade. "So... each Zone produces one of your elements, then?"
"Not really. Most Elements are produced in Zone 1. They dig the smoke we breath out of the ground, they harvest the metal we walk on from cows. The keep the plastic flowing. And they bottle the meat we eat from the meat fountains."Parrot explained, completely unaware of how weird his world may come off as to Amaya.
"You-wait-you... you get metal from cows and bottle meat?" She had halfway interrupted Parrot as he was speaking. She'd been to other worlds but none had been so... backwards. "And flowing plastic?" Amaya was trying to rationalize that to the people here, this was entirely normal and she was the one who was odd. "Sorry, I just... it's so different than where I come from."
"Must be a really weird place."Parrot said as the two arrived at the Tower. He lead Amaya into a glass Elevator. He activated it and the Elevator went up. Parrot soon had flattened himself on the other side of the Elevator as it went up. He breathed heavily, with black smoke escaping his mouth with every breath.
She'd just shrugged at Parrot's statement, "I guess." Once they were in the rising elevator and he'd started exhaling smog again, she had to ask, "You guys always do that when you're nervous? Isn't there anything that can help that?" It seemed like the elevator was rising quickly, though she had no way to confirm it other than a slight sensation in her ears.
