The title basically. Me and a friend are trying to figure out a group. Since my friend isn't familiar with groups I suggested that they promote me to a position that can edit the group, but I don't know how to do that. Anyone able to help?

The owner or the group has to go
Edit Group
-> Members
From there they'll see a series of checkboxes, and they can give you various permissions in the group.
