This is my favorite time of the year. I usually don't get into pumpkin carving, but this year I decided to give it a whirl. I'd love to see what you creative folks have done for decorations, pumpkins, or costumes!
Also, how to make your own easy Jack Skellington-o-lantern:
1. Gut pumpkin. Any one will do I'm sure, but I think Jack's face looks best on small white pumpkins.
2. Cut a wide circle through the top, gently pull this off, then clean out the inside with a spoon.
3. Pull up a Jack reference image, draw on with marker. I'm sure you could print it off and stencil it on even. Jack's design is extremely simply however, I'm not much of an artist but I managed to do this by eye.
4. Cut along lines, clean off remaining marker. I'm cheap so I just used a dry-erase marker and a steak knife, then a pushpin for the nostrils and to widen the mouth cuts.
The older it gets, the cooler it looks!

Those are so cool! I haven't seen white pumpkins before, but I'm definitely going to look out for them now, if anything they seem spookier than the usual orange ones!
We usually grow our pumpkins but unfortunately our crop wasn't as good this year, so we wont be carving any until very last minute... ^^"
