Hahaha, I couldn't stay away for too long - monster is for sure pretty subjective, but I'm all kinds of into cryptids and critters. I even co-own a setting based around an empire run by Mediterranean 'monsters' like taur, minotaur, sphinx, harpy, etc.
I personally have a ghoul alpaca, a homunculus, a half-dragon crocodile, a 'mechadrider', a satyr, and even a wereyeti or 'weresquatch'. Funny enough, the alpaca is the only one who is truly 'evil' and a 'true monster' in that sense of the word, the rest are decent people or questionable jerks at most. I have plenty of others who are NPC or in hiding and my 'sona critter is even a little monster! It needs a redesigning, but is more or less an undead primate opossum, akin to those more prehistoric sort of cryptid types.
I love this thread.

Like quite a few people have said, "monster" is a subjective term. If you mean monster in terms of mythical creatures, I actually have two in human guise: a phoenix from another world and a saytr-based alien female.
Both don't have their true forms drawn yet, but I'm working on it. I also have a few other characters based on myths and legends too, including one sadistic antagonist that's also a vampiric raven humanoid. If you're looking for an evil monster from me, that's what I have; however, he has no profile here.

oooh! bummer, i wouldve loved to see that creepy critter of yours.
but i do love your satyr alien!! very curious towards their real form >:3c
i have so many, from demons and vampires to demigods, witchy ballerina werewolves, invisible men, object heads, warlock cambions, et cetera.
I always make characters that aren't human, unless they're warlocks/witches/wizards/mages as a human born with magical abilities is one, technically. I don't have very scary ones, as I do try to make every one unique.
This one, Blaynn, is my pride and joy in monsters and magic. I've been changing him up now and then, but I do have his design down. (And I'm actually trying to draw it)

I enjoy cryptids very much, though as with my main character that I rp, who is a Wendigo, I take a scientific approach to it. I like to mix my mythology with science. A bit odd I guess, but what can I say.
My monsters tend to come in two varieties: completely human in appearance but absolutely evil, and looks like something someone definitely has nightmares about but a total sweetheart. I don't think I have any characters who are evil and look evil; it's always one or the other. I think the only monster character I've got on RPR at the moment is Danketh. He's of the 'looks terrifying but is a sweetie' variety.
