omg im in love with them they sound so horrifying, tell me more!!!
I've got a few. My vampire, though she's more polite and less monstrous in behavior, Irmgard, my demon Natrael, Heath who is spawn of Satan, and Ivy who is the child of both Heath and an archangel.

That's all I have though. Unless you count my cynical and sassy dragoness Taryn.

Hah, thanks! We can roleplay some time if you want too.
Though all but one of my characters are anon rn, monsters and the otherworldly are basically my specialty! I can link em if you'd like (its kinda spoilers for an offsite thing right now).
"Monster" is a very loose term.

But the ones I have up that most easily apply include Jackson, Taryn, Loki, and maybe the Wild Boy and Kyra. Also Nashyll, if you're counting dragons. Maaaaybe Willow, though she's more of a nature spirit (but then Jackson kinda is too). If you want to get into strictly metaphorical monsters, there's Gregor.

I've also got an anon monster, but I won't be sharing that for obvious reasons. ^^

Does a monster as a partner count? Or does the monster below the surface count?

OOH! theyre my specialty too! id love to see em 😆
Aqunos Saphiron (played by Veluren)

Hmm, I tend to play things that are seen as "monstrous", like Quno here, or my main character who's a feral dragon. Everyone knows to be scared of the things that go bump, but what better way to overcome that fear than to become one and embrace being such?

I tend to balance the monstrosity of my characters by having them be sweethearts (Though a few of them have rough exteriors)... albeit with just enough to remind you they're creatures people tend to avoid, like Aqunos eating his kills regardless of how human-like or otherwise intelligent they are.

Monster is relative, but I certainly enjoy playing into the role sometimes, even on Vel who's the biggest sweetheart, if you piss him off he'll remind you with tooth, claw and fire that he's still a 40ft long feral dragon.
Well, I recently designed my own Monstersona. But I don't have him on RPR yet. As for characters actually on this site, I have Fawkes, a Revenant out to find his killers. I've also got Isabelle, whose also undead but not as violent and actually holds great value in life. And after that is Charlotte(Not charlotte Xiang) whose a slender-man x The Thing esque critter, she's really tall and lanky and has tendrils like slender man, and can be dismembered and have her severed pieces turn into their own little monsters, ala The Thing.

they all sound so good!! i want to be charlotte's friend
John Doe (played anonymously)

Kinda cookie-cutter on the surface I know but a lot of people were pretty surprised how deep a monster character can be. John was one of my first characters ever made and he is also one of my favorites!
My characters are a mix of monsters, anthros and whatnot. Tiberius is based off an almiraj. Turbine's a manticorat. Ortho and Skyra are original monsters.
Tar

Hahaha, I couldn't stay away for too long - monster is for sure pretty subjective, but I'm all kinds of into cryptids and critters. I even co-own a setting based around an empire run by Mediterranean 'monsters' like taur, minotaur, sphinx, harpy, etc.

I personally have a ghoul alpaca, a homunculus, a half-dragon crocodile, a 'mechadrider', a satyr, and even a wereyeti or 'weresquatch'. Funny enough, the alpaca is the only one who is truly 'evil' and a 'true monster' in that sense of the word, the rest are decent people or questionable jerks at most. I have plenty of others who are NPC or in hiding and my 'sona critter is even a little monster! It needs a redesigning, but is more or less an undead primate opossum, akin to those more prehistoric sort of cryptid types.

I love this thread. <3
Like quite a few people have said, "monster" is a subjective term. If you mean monster in terms of mythical creatures, I actually have two in human guise: a phoenix from another world and a saytr-based alien female.

Both don't have their true forms drawn yet, but I'm working on it. I also have a few other characters based on myths and legends too, including one sadistic antagonist that's also a vampiric raven humanoid. If you're looking for an evil monster from me, that's what I have; however, he has no profile here.
