Thanksgiving is almost upon us so I thought I would ask what your families Thanksgiving traditions are.
As for my family we usually have around 20ish people and it's a bit of a potluck. Several people will bring a dish and 5-6 people will be using the kitchen to cook at the same time. Luckily we have a large kitchen and two ovens to better accommodate all the chefs. Common dishes are garlic cocktail shrimp, cheese bread, fruit salad, two varieties of mashed potatoes, cranberries, yams, salad, herb roasted asparagus, an ever changing mystery dish by me and naturally the ham/turkey.
Then after dinner/clean up, there will be lots of card/board games to be played, while some might wander downstairs to watch the game.

So, Thanksgiving is this Thursday, right?
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Denmark, but since I have the day off I'll probably stay in my bed all day, and then have the last dance practice of the year in the evening! We're going to have cake, chips, candy and drinks, and then maaaaybe dance just a little

Our tradition is simply to get together and eat the delicious food of whomever cooked (whomever is hosting). After that, it's a roulette between talking about...everything...and maybe playing some games. Thanksgiving is usually over by 4pm for us, which allows us time to go to thanksgiving with our friends or S/O's families.
