Hunter examined the car for anything else.

Hunter saw in the dead zombie's hand was a 9mm pistol, he found that it was empty, but maybe he could assist the others if they had ammo. He turned back towards the tree house and jogged towards it, shotgun in hand

Laying down, I listen, for even the faintest sound. An owl, the soft breeze, anything. I loved just switching off and concentrating, listening for signs that the old world wasn't completely gone. I didn't want to hear the sounds of gunshots, running, shouting and zombies, I only wanted to hear the sounds of nature.

She saw Hunter. “I told you to go to the bunker! We need to sleep!” She yelled and walked back inside, shutting the door and locking it. She sighed and walked back upstairs, changing quickly in the bathroom and walking into her room. She smiled and laid down next to Jonah. “I hate the zombie apocalypse.”

"Doesn't everyone?" I reply.

“Yeah.” She sighed.

"You know, I was thinking... Remember how you said you lost your brother? Well, if it's feasible, then I'd be down to try and find him."

“I doubt he’s anywhere near here.” She sighed. “But it doesn’t hurt to try.”

I yawn. "Sounds good but it'll have to be in the morning, I'm exhausted."

“Me too.” She sighed and curled up at his side.

Heading west as the girl advised him to do, he took his pistol out and aimed it forward as he walked. Never know what might happen in the apocalypse.

As he was walking, a couple of Z's appeared in front of him. He shot them, but because his pistol didn't have a suppressor, it made a lot of noise. What's worse is that the pistol had 45. Caliber bullets as ammunition, so much more Z's came out than expected. Holstering the pistol, he took out his sword then ran straight through, swiping it back and forth like a madman.

To the natural survivor, this was a dumb move. To William, however, this was a life saver. He made out through the forest, all bloodied from head to toe. Spinning his sword, the blood ran across the dirt several inches long.
"Easy, but unnecessary," he muttered to himself.
He continued walking west and soon came across a bunker. It looks uninhabited, but the girl at the treehouse said that there were people living there. He walked to the door, then knocked loudly.

Rose quietly opened Amber and Jonah's door. She tiptoed to the side of their bed"Ambee"she whispered.

As he waited, the dark grew darker. As one who is accustomed to the dark, he sat down to the door's right and started drawing his sister and mother standing side to side, holding hands with a red aura to it. He smiled then with a quick swish of his hand, his surroundings lit up with a red light.

A squirrel slowly crept down from a tree then ran to a nearby nut. It ate it with ease, then looked at me. It had the sort of sad eyes you would see from your friend as he is grieving for his girlfriend's death. I patted my shoulder to signal it to sit there. It slowly crept with its tiny feet up my shoulder then surprisingly, fell inside one of my jacket's pockets. It gripped the edges of the pocket then looked around. It then looked at him and smiled.

From that moment, William had his first pet. A squirrel named Alvin. Although this behavior would seem surprising for any animal, it is uncommon for animals to find shelter with a human in such dark times. This squirrel was one of them.

“Yes Rose?” She smiled and turned to her.

"I can't sleep..."

Looking around him, some Z's proceeded to advance forward to the light. William sighed, then tucked his squirrel friend inside. He took his sword then stabbed the Z's one by one, each falling to the ground with a groan. He put back his sword in its hilt then dusted his clothes.
"No time to wait."

Turning back he found William, he tossed him the empty gun and fired two shots at the ghouls, reloading he bashed his gun into the zombies head. "How are you?"

“Wanna sleep with us?” She was now sitting up and facing her.

She nodded"yes please"

She chuckled and picked her up, cradling her as she laid back down. “You mind this Jonah?”
