Canis Majoris, a peaceful nation that's known for their religious nature and kindhearted citizens. It's a nation that many outsiders considers to be a beacon of hope, a place that's just perfect to raise a family and make a living. It has a stunningly beautiful reputation throughout the world thanks to the loving nature of its rulers and the kindness of the nation's citizens. Though, Canis Majoris wasn't always the peaceful giant it is now, at one point the nation had embarked on a violet, bloody expansion throughout the continent. This bloody conquest gave Canis Majoris a large amount of new land and a vast number of resources that would make any nation green with envy. While most people weren't against joining the continent under one ruler, many disapproved of Canis Majoris' violent and bloody ways, believing it goes against everything the Lady of Water has taught them, but nonetheless the people ushered in a new era of peace after the conquest was good and done.
Though, not everyone appreciated having a new ruler ordering them around, specifically the people of Old Ravenloft. They hated the violence that these savages brought upon their lands and were not going to put up with it for much longer. Over the next few centuries, small rebellions were organized and promptly quelled by the nation's stronger and much more prepared military, though this hasn't really stopped anyone from trying. Just fifty years prior to the present day, the rebels taking refuge in the Sanctuary of Nightmares were blessed with someone they had believed to be nothing more than a legend, Dark Sorcerer of Bhhullitu, the very person they raised from an early age. The fact that she hadn't aged a day since she was last in the unholy sanctuary was something that gave the current residents a shock, though they praised her for her return and with her help, a new rebellion was being planned, but unlike the others, these soldiers were different.
These soldiers were not of the living, rather they were the soulless corpses of the mages that had passed on during Crystal's absence. They were soldiers that fought without fear of pain or death, living dolls that obey no one besides the Dark Sorcerer. The undead march towards the capital, killing anyone in their path, neither supporters of their cause or those who are against it are safe from the hellish rebellion. This has prompted the government to send out a small militia of seven people to try and hold back the rebellion as they prepare a much larger army to quell this menace.
Where do you stand? Will you aid this unholy army and topple the capital or will you aid the government in order to stop this apocalyptic rebellion? The choices is yours.
This will be a wartime, combat heavy plot with a number of dark, potentially upsetting themes sprinkled within and include, but are not limited to, suicide, abuse, betrayal, depression, among many others. What I'm looking for is no more than five people to join me in an RP to play out the rebellion between the Majorsian army and Crystal's undead army. You can choose either side, but be aware, that character death is likely, as it is a war after all. I don't care what your character's race is, but realize that if you are not human, your chances of being in the Majorsian army is significantly lower. I want at least one paragraph a post; I'm not expecting you to post entire novels, but a paragraph would be appreciated. I will not accept anything under four lines. Decent grammar and spelling are greatly appreciated as well. Shoot me a PM or reply below if you have any questions regarding the RP.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Renaissance
Wartime/soldier RPs. Combat is a given and will likely be graphic, but there's the potential for non-combat "in the trenches" scenes. World War 2, Vietnam, etc.
Details: Freeform, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
Whenever you post, I seem to be there
I've been looking to develop Charles more and maybe this'll help! I think he'd work for either side, as each side has a moral stand point, but if you get the chance, can you help me out in figuring which side he'd be best on and check out his profile?
(Or, you can check out my profile, which has a summary of all my characters.)
If Charles does not fit the bills, I can reapply with one of my many other characters.

Purely because of his species, I believe Charles would best fit Crystal's faction; the army is very unlikely to welcome any nonhuman into their ranks, otherwise I think he looks great.

That's the villains, right?

I can see how that'd work, but he'd get mad about species categorizing (He's not human so he had to be on this side.)
Would he also be undead or something...? Like, how would this work?
I think the rebooted version of Hunter and Arizona that I have yet to put in the profiles that I had been talking about could fit
I actually think it could be interesting if they had gotten separated somehow and had actually gotten on different sides

They aren't necessarily villains, but they definitely aren't heroes either.

Not everyone on Crystal's side is undead, there's a number of living mages.

That'd actually be perfect, I think it could provide some useful drama if they got separated

Awesome
