The moon shined bright in the night. The trees cast dark shadows, barely hiding a tall, feminine figure heading towards the lake. She pulled something out of the bag slung around her shoulder and looked at it before putting her hand to her face. She kneeled down in front of the water and looked in.She had long blue hair that fell past her shoulders and her hands and face were smeared with what seemed like blood. She dipped her hands in the water and rinsed the dried blood off her hands and washed her face. She looked at the water again. Her right eye shined a little more than the left, as if it wasn't real. Standing up again, she headed away from the lake, into the forest.
The small feral raccoon sat perched at the edge of a pond, brown and slightly purple eyes fixed on a clear pond. A few fish glided through the water, flicking their decorative tails. The creature watched as one fish, a little oddly colored with multicolored scales, bravely made a daring leap out of the pool, at which the raccoon lunged forward and grabbed the fish in her jaws, gliding over the pool and landing on the other side. Her fangs sank into the flesh of it and killed it. She set it down and turned her ears toward the sound of rustling leaves as another creature entered the forest. Her heart thumped like a thrush pounding a snail against a rock, and she let out a startled yelp, diving behind a rock.
