((vashthestampedesgirl is going to be away for 3 or 4 days so I'll take over Kotomi until she gets back. ))

Kotomi sat down on the dragons tail in a comfortable position, after getting some help from Eled. She carefully placed Mai in her lap, with both of her arms carrying her and pulling Mai around from her back to her lap. Mai sat there with her sleepy eyes still half open and then cuddled up to Kotomi. Kotomi held onto Mai tighter, with both arms wrapped around her as she looked up at Eled. "Thank you...again." She said kindly with a soft smile. Kotomi then looked out at the boats coming towards them.

((okies. I assume you are related irl or just friends?))

Eled sat in silence for a time, returning a slightly shy smile to Kotomi. He looked back at Sayuri and gave her a thankful nod.

As the boats neared, Eled would help them load on, the curious faces of a hardened Navy being there with helpful hands as well. Upon seeing Mai, many of their faces melted. A big guy, named Bo, tipped his hat to them both and then nodded to Eled. "Quick thinking, Captain. Glad the creature's on our side." He grinned at Sayuri happily. He added quickly, being a bit humbled as the full scale of her size and form registered on his visage, "Big heart, she has."

Eled smirked, "Yes, a big heart indeed." He leaped onto the boat from Sayuri's table, and barked, "Make the ladies some room in the back!" Instantly the way was cleared, and Eled sat Katomi down, putting his arm protectively around her. The rest of the men began the long journey back to their ship.

Sayuri followed. She turned into her small dragon form and swam behind them, not wanting to make them tip from the waves her bigger form could make while swimming. She kept up easily and once and a while, poke her head above the surface to make sure she wasn't swiming the wrong way.

Kotomi mumbled a "thank you" while being helped onto the boat while carrying Mai. Mai looked around curiously and waved at a man they called Bo with her tiny hand. Kotomi sat down once they arrived at the back, with Mai still in her arms. Kotomi looked out at the water. It truly was a beautiful sight. Kotomi nor Mai haven't ever been on a boat like this. It was interesting. Kotomi still didn't know what time era their in, since they did come from a more modern time. Mai looked out at the water aswell and spotted Sayuri, now a tiny little dragon. Mai waved at Sayuri and smiled. "Hi fishy!" She said out to Sayuri. Mai still didn't really understand that Sayuri was actually a dragon. Sayuri reminded Mai of a fish.

Bo grinned, showing his missing front tooth, and gave the child a wave. Eled's elvish ears perked up as they neared the ship. "Shit!!!" He stood up quickly. "Row fast, get the girls to safety!" He quickly stood, on edge. He unslung his bow from his back, trying to pinpoint something.

All at once a dark sense of foreboding could be felt. "What the hell is it?" Eled whispered to himself, his eyes narrowed, his arms having tightly and quickly notched an arrow.

Eight, large Sea Cats lunged out of the water, roaring hungrily. One had leaped directly at Kotomi and Eled's boat but caught an arrow in its Maw, sending it careening to the surface of the water. "They're everywhere!" The bleeding sea cat lived, and at once they were under the water again - ready to return to the surface and pounce.

Kotomi's eyes widened as she saw the Sea Cats surrounding them. "Mimi! What's--" Mai had started to say before Kotomi pushed Mai's head down into her shoulder so she couldn't look up and see the ferious creatures. "I-it's nothing, Mai!" Kotomi said back to Mai. She thought about searching for any weapons she might have on her but not with Mai in her arms. "Mai? I'm going to set you down...but you keep your eyes shut!" Kotomi said and set down her sister. Mai kept her eyes closed just like her sister asked while Kotomi searched her pockets for any blades or any kind of weapon she might have to help. None. Kotomi looked up at Eled, "W-what are we going to do?" She questioned as she looked out at the creatures.

Eled had his eyes on the water, not taking them off for a moment. "Keep her protected!" He shouts at Kotomi, not meaning to raise his voice to that level, but he was tense. The boat rowed on at a very fast speed. Perspiration began appearing on all the mens faces.

The boat began getting assailed from the bottom as one after the other of the Sea cats bashed into it purposefully. Men did all they could to right the boat's balance but it was tricky. One fell overboard and was quickly dragged under as a snack. Eled growled angrily, but could not get a good shot in.

Kotomi grabbed Mai again and held her in her arms as the boat started rocking back and forth wildly. Mai had no idea what was happening, her eyes still shut. Mai wasn't making a sound. Kotomi looked out and saw the man get taken by one of the Sea Cats. Kotomi then tried to keep her balance as the boat kept on moving furiously. Kotomi's eyes darted around and looked at all the Sea Cats in the water, hoping that they wouldn't do anymore damage to the boat.

Sayuri turned back into her dragon form and made a circle around the boat. She also made a water barrier beneath the bottom so the Sea Cats couldn't hurt the boats. She roared angrily, trying to scare awat the Sea Cats.

The Sea cats sensed their new threat, and at one time, they leapt out of the ocean waters at her, tearing and clawing, biting and thwapping at her scales. They were quick, like a pack of wild dogs, attempting to find her every weak spot. Distracted by the dragon, Eled felled, one, then two, then three of them with his arrows, pools of blood falling at Sayuri's feet. Bo yelled, "Captain! There's more!" They were about three minutes from the ship. But it was true. The Sea Cats were growing in number.

Mai watched as the Sea Cats attacked that poor dragon. She pressured herself to look and she watched in horror. She stayed close to the sailor that was holding her as she watched. Mai was scared but she tried not to show it. She started to see pools of blood in the water. Mai couldn't tell if that blood was coming from the dragon or the Sea Cats but she looked up and saw that more Sea Cats were to come.

Sayuri roared. She couldn't keep this up. She used the final amounts of her energy to create a barrier around the boats." Hurry! I can do no more to help you." Sayuri said weakly in Eled's mind before she battered another Sea Cat away from the boats, keeping them from harming anyone.

Eled narrowed his eyes. "Son of a..." He leaped off the boat, creating a large splash in the water. The sea cats swarmed to grab their new meal. But when they arrived, Eled was nowhere to be seen. His boots had some sort of rocket on them and he flew out of the water with immense air pressure. Using his cape as a parachute, he floated onto Sayuri. But he had left the seacats a present. A huge explosion caused the ocean waves to ripple fiercely, killing easily fifty of the sea cats and clearing the area for the time being. "Come on, girl, fly. Let's get you to safety."

The boat was safe with Sayuri's shield and as they neared the ship, men began raining arrows onto any pursuing sea cat. The sailors were all soon climbing a ladder to the weatherdeck, the first holding Mai tightly and carefully.

Mai had watched as Eled jumped off the boat and into the water. She had covered her eyes when the waves went fiercely. She looked up when she felt herself being moved. Mai sighed in relief when she saw the ship ahead. Her eyes darted around to find the dragon and Eled. She saw them together. She held onto the sailors neck gently whom was carrying her and watched as they made their way to the ship.

Sayuri swam toward the boat. She put Eled on the boat and not a second too late. Sayuri transformed into her wolf form, her white fur stained with blood. She collapsed on the deck and passed out. Then she transformed again....into her human form. Her shiny blue hair was splayed around her and her blue blood stained dress covered her well. Her pale skinwas cut in places due to the Sea Cats.

Miles away in the forest, a group of elves stood around in a circle. They discussed a whole bunch of things at once. They were all wearing green with their pointy elf ears sticking out from under their hair.

"Something's up with the portal..." One man said.
"What ya mean? Pfft, Johnny. Nothing is "up" with the portal. Nothing has been for awhile now." Another man said.
"Yeah, but--!"
"Guys!" A young, blonde woman cut in. She knew this was going to lead to an argurement.

"We need to calm down and instead of argueing with eachother, we just talk things out." She said.
Johnny rolled his eyes, "Fine! Okay! I was just stating an obvious fact." He said as he turned around and walked to a near tree, leaving the conversation. The woman sighed. "Geez! What a drama queen!" A man yelled and chuckled before getting hit in the chest by the girl. "Shuddup! If you guys aren't going to act mature then we aren't going to get anywhere! You know what, fine! I'm done here!" The woman said with obvious anger before turning around and stomping away out of the forest. She could hear the guys chuckling and mumbling things to eachother but she didn't care. She hated being stuck in this tribe with two year olds that can't even finish a simple comversation without getting stupid.

She tried to calm down while she walked towards the sea. She liked the sea, it made her calm down. Of course she was going to go back to her tribe but she just needed a breather. She continued walking towards the sea before getting the stench of blood in the air. Odd. It became stronger every step she took closer to the water. It lingered in the air and made her feel gross. She quickened her pace towards the water, having a feeling the awful smell came from there.

Eled put up a hand signal "Medics on deck!!" But they were already on the move, attending to Sayuri moments later. Captain Eled Lightfoot rubbed the back of his neck. "What a mess." He muttered. He signaled to the sailor holding Mai, "Good work, Ray. Get her warmed up, something to eat please." Ray saluted, taking Mai to the cabins and placing her into a bed. Eled called to the top mast, "Anything unusual?"

"Captain! Portal is as stable as before! Sea cats have dwindled, and I see a solitary elf on the shores to the north! She's very pretty, sir! I think I'm in love sir!"

Captain Eled had to do his best to keep from grinning at his lookout, Andy. "Aye, Sailor!" He contemplated going back out on the waters, but that wouldn't make much sense as they'd just barely escaped those vicious sea cats. One elf was not worth the loss of more lives, especially as she did not appear in danger. "Display the colors!"

Men ran to the ropes, unveiling the Kingdom of Agis Official flags over the sail. "If she's something to say to us, at least she'll know we're friendly." He mumbled to nobody in particular. "I'm taking a nap!" He called out. A few of the men very used to their captain, chuckled at his usual whimsical ways. And Eled made haste to his cabin.

Mori scowled as she tried to listen to what the people on the ship were yelling out to eachother. She saw one man look over her way and her eyes immediatly widened when he did but then she gave out a sigh of relief when he looked away. Maybe that smell of blood is coming from them... She said to herself as she was lost in a train of thoughts.

Mori was lost in thought before she saw the Kingdom of Agis flag being rose on their ship. Thank God they're not threats. She thought as she stared up at the flag, knowing that these guys must be some sort of good guys and wouldn't harm anyone or anything. She walked closer to the seashore, staring out at the water while her bare feet stepped in the water. A shiver went down her spine from the water being so cold at first but she got use to it. She looked back at the forest, wondering if she should start heading back to her tribe. Nah, I think I should stay here a little longer. Who would wanna go back to those retards, anyway? She thought as she decided she would stay here and maybe wait for them to return. Mori tried not to make in noticeable that she was waiting for them though, of course.

Before Mai had been taken to one of the cabins, she looked down at Sayuri, who now looked human, and stared at her unusual hair colour. "Mermaid?" She questioned. She stared at her before she was taken to the cabin. She heard a man yelling out and saying that he saw another elf, a pretty elf, and saying he was "in love" with this elf. "Cinderella?" She questioned again, trying to guess the pretty elf's name, which she did the same to Sayuri. Mai was convinced that Sayuri was a mermaid and that this pretty elf was Cinderella. She decided that that's what she will call them from now on.

Once she got to the cabin she sat down on the bed and looked up at the man who had carried her in, "Do you have chicken nuggets?" She asked, still not fully understanding that she wasn't in her own era.
