Rae rolled her eyes. " You think that I would know about a whole new species stuff. Nah.... I kinda only know stuff about werewolves. It's not like I am one or anything. " She said, in a sarcastic way. She would try her best to lighten the mood.
Isobel shrugged. "You don't really have to know about any new species, unless they're trying to kill you maybe. Or just interested in them." She walked to where they'd been fighting and started feeling around for her weapons. "What are we going to do about him though?"
Rae was in her snappy mood. " So now your gonna ask me? " She said, growling. Her emerald eyes were not full of joy. She turned her back, kicking the dirt. Was she right when Isobel trusted him the first time? Yes, he turned on her and nearly killed Isobel and herself.
"Well, I'd really rather not kill him." Isobel was hardly going to trust the man again, not anytime soon anyway. It would be a lot smarter to kill him now and not risk having him come after them when he woke up, but for some reason she couldn't explain, she really didn't want to. She picked up one half of her twin swords and her dagger. She continued searching for the other half after she put her dagger back in its sheathe at her waist. "We could just leave him here. We would be able to get hundreds of miles away before he wakes. The tracking device is going to have to go though." She'd make sure they were far enough away and that Rae was safe, but Isobel had been on her own for a long time. She wasn't sure she'd be able to get used to travelling with someone else for a long time.
Rae looked at Isobel and she nodded her head. " I guess we don't need to kill him. I want to destroy every tracking device he's got. He'll probably come after us again. " She said, grabbing his weapons.
Moonlight glinted off another object down around his shirt collar. It was a simple silver cross with a simple chain. It did little more than dangle there, swaying in the light midnight breeze under his slumped head.
Isobel finally found her other sword and twisted both together, making it become her staff once again. She restrapped it onto her back. "I wonder if he'll come after us without his suit." She doubted it, though he could probably get a new one or call in other Supernatural Custodians. "I can fly above while you run below."
Rae looked at the thing under his head. " What is that? " she said walking over. She sat down next to him, slipping her hand under his neck, and looking at the necklace. " its a cross. " She said softly. She closed her eyes, feeling the aurora inside of it.
Hunter's hand bolted from his side and caught hers as she touched it. His head was still slumped but his hand took hers away from his necklace, falling back into darkness.
Rae looked at him, closing her eyes again. She felt the aurora from his hand, then tried to read the aurora from the necklace. She opened her emerald eyes, staring at him. She was trying to figure out his past, she needed a reason to not kill him.
Hunter had an actually nice past. Once he finished highschool with decent grades he went into an ROTC program. From there he served in the military, then was recruited to be a Supernatural Custodian. He had not always killed his targets, he only killed the ones he couldn't handle otherwise, or that were very destructive. Hunter had battled many monsters before. Werewolves, daemons, ghosts, vampires, and even a large one that almost ended his life. He hadn't been lying when he told them he would take them somewhere else.
Isobel waited for Rae to finish doing her thing. She'd been startled when she heard the hunter move, but it didn't seem he was going to attack. She didn't really know anything about auras, but could sense the passing of some sort of energy between them. "What are you doing?"
Rae did not speak for a while, but she opened her emerald eyes. " Its.. Just a thing my mother taught me. " She said, blankly. The military was a big thing, she knew why he wouldn't give up. She stood up, slightly shaken. " Isobel.. " Her eyes looked at her, weakly.
"What is it?" Isobel asked, worry creeping into her voice. Something had obviously alarmed Rae, to have made her sound so shaken and weak. She unconsciously moved her hand to the dagger at her waist, gripping the hilt.
Rae felt sickened to her stomach, she could see it all. " I.. I need to sit down. " She said, wobbling over to a tree. She sat down, her emerald eyes zoned off and distant. She could only see what the aurora was showing her.
"Are you ok?" Isobel reached out to her, but there wasn't anything that she could tell that needed healing. "What did you see?" It seemed like Rae was miles away.
Rae did not answer till she finally started listening. " It's just the aurora. " She said, looking at Hunter. Poor guy...
A confused look crossed her face. "Aurora? Isn't that rainbow lights that happen in the sky in Alaska or some place?" Isobel didn't really know much at all about them.
Hunter coughed as he began to stir. He slowly picked his head up and brought his knee in closer to so he could rest his arm on it. He had a terrible headache now. The looked up, dog tags jingling slightly. He moaned when he saw the two were still there. "Seriously? You are still here?"
[ God sorry ment Aura .>. ]
Rae just stared then finally made enough strength to stand up. " I'm sorry I zoned out. I just saw something. " She said, doing a fake smile. She leaned on the tree, " What are we gonna do with him? "
