Medieval Characters (played by MangoNekros)

He slowly made his way to the caravan, waving the people down. They should be able to identify him
Tlasi held a finger to his lips.
"Sssh. I... dont know what exactly to do now. Just..." he glanced around, unsure of himself, before stringing his how across his back.
"We're going to pretend you want to join us, alright? After all this, maybe we can find a way to get you a horse, sneak you away..."
He was almost talking to himself, trying to come up with a plan.
After a moments hesitation, he turned back to the horses, trying again to begin to untie them, listening to ensure the girl behind him wouldnt sneak up on him.
Assallya (played by Slain)

The elven girl paid particular attention to her rescuer. After taking an arrow to the back and being suddenly healed by the potion she was having a hard time getting her bearings.

When he professed to not knowing what to do the blonde girl's mind immediately snapped back into focus. Fear. Fear that she would be skewered again brought her back to herself. Clearly this kind hearted bandit couldn't be trusted there. Saving her, as much as she appreciated it, was foolish. Assallya was much more callous. Roles reversed she'd have left him to his date.

Blue eyes darted keenly across the field, assessing the situation. The forces were roughly equal as far as her non-professional eyes could tell. She was no expert with small groups of mercenaries beyond stories told to her. As far as she could tell she didn't have much choice. She was surrounded by brigands. Fighting them would be suicide. She could either cower and await the result of the battle- always an option that one.her pretty face usually endeared her to whoever was victor. Alternatively she could throw her lot in with the bandits. There was a potential for profit there. Now she just had to cover her ass in case in case the bandits lost.

An idea spawned. In those fleeting moments of analysing the situation it came to her. The answer was so simple.

"Put your knife to my throat," she commanded Tlasi, her voice surprisingly confident and commanding for a dancing girl, "I can't cast without your friends killing me."

Yes, that would work. If the bandits lost the fight she could simply claim she'd been coerced under pain of death. It totally wasn't her fault!

She might even be able to hurl a charm upon the bandit leader. If the bandits won she could be top of their hierarchy overnight. All in all, a decent plan.

(OOC: Sorry. Cat has been in the hospital all week getting a tumor removed. He's doing fine now. His recovery has been most miraculous. I'm exhausted and $10K in the hole but he's great!)
Cedric Hayes (played by Juls) Topic Starter

((Ouch! Glad the cat is doing better now!))

"Heads up, Tlasi!" Brylla yelled as she finished unhooking the horses on the last wagon in the line and gave the pair a slap on the rump to send them fleeing ahead to add more confusion to the chaos at the front. Without the horses, the wagon that still held the two elves started rolling backward down the muddy slope and Brylla let out a quick cheer at their success.

At the front, the brigand that Scuz had downed screamed in pain and horror at being 'eaten alive' by the goblin, kicking desperately with the other leg in an effort to dislodge the creature before passing out a moment later and slumping down into the mud.

Cedric had backed himself up to the front wagon in an effort to keep any of the bandits from getting behind him and barely managed to parry an incoming blow. Over the bandit's shoulder he saw an armed and armored man waving. Whose side was he on? He seemed better armed than the brigands so there was some hope he wasn't with them. "Some... ahhhhh..." he began to shout out to the man only to have his cry cut short when an arrow suddenly found his upper arm.
((Sorry to hear about your poor kitty, I'm glad he's feeling better!))

Scuz shuddered, spitting out a piece of fabric he had ripped from the bandit's pants. He wasn't doing that again anytime soon- he'd be tasting that guy's nasty sweaty leg for weeks. The good news was, the pain where he'd been slashed was lessening, and his foe was defeated as intended.
A spring in his step, Scuz snatched his crowbar up, happily reunited with his weapon of choice. His eyes darted back to the fallen bandit, who appeared to be out cold. Scuz briefly considered looting his pockets, but thought better of it. The man probably didn't have anything better than what he did on him. Although... perhaps the caravans towards the back offered better spoils? Scuz didn't know for sure what his employer was carting up the mountain, but he knew there wasn't much shiny stuff among his goods. And if it wasn't shiny, it wasn't worth stealing.
The goblin had filled his quota for fighting for now- he might as well treat himself. Then, he assured himself, he could fight some more, preferably using the valuable gems he found as projectiles.

Chuckling at his own cleverness, Scuz began to slink past the cart, and made it as far as just beyond the downed tree when he heard loud trotting, followed by terrified whinnying. Scuz's yellow eyes widened in horror as he watched three large horses barrel towards him, fast approaching. To a fellow who would never grow taller than a human child, this was effectively his nightmare scenario. If Scuz didn't act quick, he would be trampled like an insect.
Shrieking with terror, the goblin covered his head and waited for his brain to mashed to pulp.
