He studied her a moment, watching her cautiously, before pulling a paper clip out of his coat and twisting it around to form a key of sorts. He then spat in the lock so it wouldn't squeak as much and jammed the paper clip in there, jiggling it around until the lock clicked gently and the handcuff opened, releasing her hand. He stood up and looked around again before looking back at her.
Kasumi woke up when her hand fell and hit her head. "What-" he started to say as she saw the man form before in the shadows. "Why did you come back for me?" she whispered straining her ears for any signs of her sleeping father or mother below.
He held up a finger for silence, also listening hard.
"It's my turn to return the favor," he finally said in a ghost of a whisper, carefully opening the door again.

Kasumi followed, careful not to make a noise. When they got to the steps Kasumi paused long enough to say that the third step from the bottom is a trick one.
He nodded, careful to step over it so it wouldn't do whatever it was supposed to do. He stopped and listened again before crossing to a window and ever so silently opening it up. He jerked his head at it, telling her wordlessly to get out.
Kasumi climbed out the window carefully and dropped to the ground, waiting for him to come out too. "Where am I going to go?" she whispered.
He came out the window, closed it, and made the mistake of looking down.
Oh geez...
He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the drop. Ricin, after all, was afraid of heights, and he probably should've taken that into consideration before making this daring escape.

Kasumi saw his hesitation and went to stand under him. "There is a vine a little to the left of the window. You can grab it and slide down it instead." She whispered moving out of the way and rubbing her arms. When she jumped, the welts and cuts on her arms and legs opened a bit so she was bleeding again.
He nodded, swinging himself so he could reach the vine and slid down, rather glad she had pointed that out so he wouldn't have to jump. He strode off toward the cover of the trees, looking around every now and then to make sure they weren't being watched.
"Where are we going?" Kasumi asked worried. She was covered in gashes and blood, her hair was a mess and her clothes in tatters. She stumbled on a root and almost face planted before she righted herself and kept going.
"Somewhere safe. I need to regroup to attack again," he replied quietly as he slipped into the cover of the trees.
Kasumi followed him and fixed her tattered shirt to cover more of her upper body. "You never told me your name." He said walking beside him now.
"Ricin," he supplied, as he never told anyone his true name. That was his alias, his work name. It would do for now.
"That's a nice name." Kasumi said stepping over a root. "My name is Kasumi, But most people call me Kat." she said.
"I wouldn't say Ricin's a nice name. Ricin, after all, is a highly deadly poison derived from a protein in the castor oil bean. Hard to identify and normally when it is identified it's too late to do anything. I must say that the name Kasumi is much nicer."
Kasumi shrugged and kept pace, almost tripping every in e in a while due to her injuries. "Does this place we're going have medics or a hospital?" She asked shivering a little from the cold night air.
"No. How badly are you hurt? I have a little experience in healing."
Kasumi looked down at all the whip marks covering her oh and the blood flowing down from the open wounds. "I would say pretty bad, bad enough to not be in public with be due to my bloodiness." She said with a chuckle.
"Alright. I'll try to patch you up when he get to my place," he told her after a quick look at her injuries. "I've seen worse."
Kasumi nodded and continued the frisk pace Rincin was giving. "How much farther do you live?" she asked doubtfully. She was getting colder and more tired with each step, the wounds making her ache even more.
