Now that I've caught your attention, just a little bit of a warning before you proceed. This topic contains one mention of the word pornographic, and a link to a previous forum topic where mild sexual topics were mentioned in regards to spam messages on another site. So any younger, innocent members should probably go read something else a bit more lighthearted and fluffy!
On the 24th of November, I made a comment on Fanfiction.Net's twitter post because I was sick and tired of receiving the messages I'd been getting for the past few months. At the time I had no idea whether they were spam or an actual person sending them, so I reached out to the wonderful community of RPR who assured me it was most likely spam bots that were making my life a living hell. While it wasn't explicitly pornographic, the intentions of the messages were clear, so I made my comment hoping to catch their attention that way, seeing as I hadn't received a response to any of the emails I'd sent them over a period of months.

I was honestly so surprised when I saw this post, I really wasn't expecting them to do anything - but no spam has graced my inbox since the first of December, so maybe they're actually doing something about it!
It's always wonderful to see the fruits of ones labor, particularly after how hard you worked to get this to happen.
Very glad to see them taking a stand against these malicious bots, it must be helpful to know that they dont condone the behaviors and have worked to stop it too. I know how lack of evidence can seem like a site is just ignoring your concerns and seeing is believing for sure!
Happy to see things are turning around, because you're right as your last thread said, this is more than just you being targeted. While it likely is just random, minors can be randomly targeted too by these things and I'm glad now they're taking steps to stop this from happening.
