( no problem...grounded huh..that stinks)
He looked at her,“I'm sure..” he said.He wouldnt freak if he noticed that,afterall,drinking blood was an everday occuranse for him,atleast at this point in his life it was.

"Ok, just don't get the wrong idea." She said nodding to the waiter to bring them two. "So what were you doing today before I crashed into you?" Alex asked, changing the subject.

Destery looked at her,"just wandering around" he said.

Alex shrugged and glanced up at the light fixtures above them, willing them to get slightly dimmer to her sensitive eyes. Sometimes she could control little things like lights and other times she could read littler kids minds. She tapped on the table let out a small sigh out of habit, waiting for the waitress to break this silence between them or something.

Destery looked down,both were silent for a minute,maybe two,until Desterys lips parted and said 3 words,"your not human," it was an odd break in the silence.

Alex just stared at Destery and licked her lips slightly, careful of her next words. "Why would you say that?" She asked cautiously, her fingers frozen mid-tap.

He shrugs,"I just know" he said.It was simple as that,he could feel that she wasent human.

"Well maybe that isn't such a good answer." She said calmly. Alex hated when people found things out about her and gave a simple reason of how they knew. "Well, I know that you defiantly aren't human either." She countered with a small smirk and tilted her head, awaiting his reply.

"Seeing as though I know your not human," he grinned revealing fangs,then closed his mouth.

Alex grinned back, not the least disturbed about the boys fangs, showing hers aswell. Afterall, this is a very strange world they live in. The waitress came back with their orders and Alex took a small sip of her's, watching Destery. "So thats why you hid under your coat when I accidently bumped into you." She said quietly to herself, not meaning for Destery to overhear her.

He didn't appear to be bothered by her fangs,not inside,not outside.He didn't hear what she said,but he had hid,because,well,sunshine hurt,very badly.

Alex took a big bite of her steak, a little blood dripping down her chin. "You going to eat?" She nodded at his food, untouched so far.

(Lol, sorry I'm usually better at responding but i'm having a little writers block....)

Destery nodded a yes to her.He took a bite of his steak.He tried to avoid the thought of if the blood came from a human.He was a odd turned vampire.He once was a human,but was turned,so,he didnt like the thought of he was drinking from what he used to be.But he had to drink blood to live,so he had to suck it up and deal with it.

Alex coughed a little steak out onto the plate, careful not to miss. "Ugh, still can't eat this stuff." She said, pushing her plate away towards the wall. Instead, she picked up her drink and took a small sip. "The only reason I got this," she held up her drink for him. "Is because it tastes better with wine in it."

It wasent just her that thought it was bad,at least,without more of a taste,but he managed to swallow the bite he had in his mouth,barely.He looked at her,he simply nodded,estimated guess that would taste better with that.

Alexandra finished her drink and set the glass down beside her barely eaten steak, glaring at it evily. I am NOT a monster. she repeated over and over in her head as she glanced back at Destery, watching his slightly less than graceful moves. "How long have you been one?" She asked softly, hoping he didn't hear.

He heard her simple question,typical question,from a vampire who knew he was a vampire as well."About a month" he answered looking at her with green eyes, then took a sip of his drink.

"Ouch, I remember when I was only a month old." She said rolling up her sleeves to reveal scars all along her arms. "Luckily you had more common sense then me..." She added. When she was only a month, Alex refused to believe she was a vampire, until she started to get bad burns on her arms that even her superhuman healing couldn't head entirely.

(He meant a month ago,not when he was a month,just saying)
Destery looked at the scars,had,but somewhat healed scars.(sorry,mindblank)

((I know, I get what he was saying. Sorry If I confused you. Vampire count years from when they were turned.))

"So where were you going before I crashed into you?" She said with a small laugh. She was trying to keep the conversation from developing into awkward silence between them.
