Skyttrki silk is emerging as a valuable commodity on the galactic market. Your character or their household wants to get ahead of the curve. Unwilling to invest in a full-scale farm just yet, they instead choose to adopt a single skyttrki to see how profitable it can be. Though already having been made aware of the fact that skyttrki are fully sapient with full citizen rights, your character isn't quite aware just how much of a handful a single skyttrki can be. Insatiably curious, easily distracted and completely unaware of local customs, one thing is for sure - caring for this creature will certainly be an adventure!

- Your skyttrki is not a slave. It has full citizen rights and for all intents and purposes, your contract with it includes legal elements similar to those found either in adoption or employment. If the skyttrki is not satisfied with its living arrangements, it is fully entitled to terminate the contract, after which a Nvriti T&B courier may arrive to retrieve it if the skyttrki wishes to be recalled.
- The contract states that in return for the silk it produces, the skyttrki must be provided with food and accommodation and integration into your household. Any further payment or luxuries may be negotiated in person.
- Your skyttrki is considered your responsibility, and its welfare and survival is considered to be under your guardianship. Please keep in mind that despite its intelligence, the skyttrki needs constant supervision when outside of its living arrangements. If your skyttrki gets lost through provable negligence, you may be held accountable.
- Skyttrki are natural predators and are equipped with lethal venom. Always be wary around strangers who show provocative behaviour toward your skyttrki, as you may be held partially responsible for any injury or death the creature causes. Though Nvriti T&B makes sure to properly screen all exported livestock, no living organism can be entirely predictable under extraneous circumstances.
- It is advisable to keep your skyttrki on a leash around heavy traffic or urban environments. The species is incredibly curious and easily distracted and may wander into the path of ground vehicles or get lost in crowded areas. The application of a leash is covered within your contract with the creature and is legal so far as the skyttrki is consenting to its use and aware of its purpose. Remember that you must use a leash that the skyttrki has the ability to detach on their own, for purposes of rights and legality, as well as safety. Typically, the skyttrki will not attempt to remove said leash under normal circumstances, as they are aware of the fact that their behavioural nature may at times hamper their survival outside of the familiar environments of their homeworld.
- There are no legal requirements as to the quantity of silk the skyttrki may produce for you. You may return the skyttrki at any time if you are not satisfied with its production.
- If your skyttrki lays any eggs whilst under contract, this must immediately be reported to Nvriti T&B so that the egg in question can be transported to the skyttrki homeworld for proper care. Alternatively, you may destroy the egg, following the guidelines enclosed within the documents, so long as you do so within two weeks. You will receive payment for the egg if it is returned to Nvriti T&B. It is illegal in most regions vetted for export to retain possession of a skyttrki egg without the necessary nursing environment, and you may be fined or imprisoned for doing so, depending on your legal system.
Kt-tk skittered around the shuttle's cargo bay anxiously. To think that they would get to explore a whole new world! The moment they had matured enough for their silk to be of commercial quality, they had anxiously hoped to get a posting off-world. Even though the local language had been flash-burned into their mind, they found themselves mentally practising, nervously wondering whether they would immediately be able to understand it as spoken. Speaking it themselves of course was another thing entirely, but they would have to cross that bridge when they came to it. Fangs shifting nervously, they stared at the backs of their large paw-like hands, wishing their solitude would soon end. They didn't realise they would be left in the shuttle for so long after landing.
At last, there was a clunk somewhere in the ship, causing them to jolt in place, chittering in alarm. Slivers of light emerged from around the landing ramp, expanding as the ramped doorway opened. Sunlight flooded in, for a moment blinding their vision. Slowly, their eyes adapted, staring out in awe at the world beyond. Their alien handler stepped forth and gestured for them to leave the ship.
Complying with the command, Kt-tk scuttled forth, their pointed feet finding purchase on the ground outside. This was it... their new life...

So this was a bit of a fun slice-of-life idea I had regarding my spider-kitty-alien-thingy. Hoping for some fun, goofy silliness as Kt-tk gets to grips with an unfamiliar civilisation and generally gets up to mischief.
No magic at all.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.
Romantic themes are possible, but won't pan out. For example: unrequited love.
