Nero looked up slightly to see the soldiers behind them, practically explode. At least he had a strong stomach. He watched the scene of blood, almost like a massacre. A bloody massacre.
"Nero... I think I stepped on a mine..." Vladimir said, and looked down. Yes, he did. But it was a delayed mine. Bouncing Betty, but still. He MIGHT be able to escape it.
Nero looked down at the mine.shi* Nero thought. He wondered why it hadent exploded yet, not that he didn't mind still being alive."What now..?" Nero asked."run I'm guessing?"
"How about I toss you, jump on top, and hope for the best? Running like a madman would be... stupid now," Vladimir said, rolling his eyes.
"Fine by me" he said.Yeah, kinda sounded like a better plan.
He tossed Nero in front of him and jumped on top of him. Instantly the mine exploded and shot ball bearings out above him. Vlad hoped they wouldn't hit.
Nero got tossed, making him go air born for about 1 second, then he landed on the ground.Less then a second later he got the breath knocked out of him slightly when Vladimir landed on him.Nero felt the ground shake when the mine exploded.
"Oh wow. Will you look at that. It seems you broke my fall. Remind me to thank you some time later for saving my life. I don't know what I'd do without you," Vladimir said sarcastically, getting up and brushing himself off.
"Shut up..." Nero said with a slight irritation in his voice. He stood up, and looked up at the sky.
"What? No thank you? Here I am, saving your ass... What do I get? Nothing!" Vladimir continued on in a mock rant, stomping about and what not. Finally he gave up. No use.
"Whose to say I wasent going to thank you?" He stated. It was a good question, after such near death experiences, who wouldn't want to take a second to make sure they were actually still alive and that they weren't in Limbo or something."Thanks.." he said after Vladimir was done ranting. It didn't sound like a 'inside I seriously don't care at all' thank you, it sounded real.
"There! I always knew it! I always knew you'd say it! Just had to get it out of you, then, eh?" Vladimir said, and clapped in triumph. He knew he meant it. He was just showing his gratitude. He nodded his head kindly, brushed himself off, and looked out towards their future. Looked dark, and like a long journey ahead of them. "You ready to set off? Looks like we have a long way ahead of us,"
((Doesn't sound like much to go on from here. Got any ideas?))

Nero looked ahead, and nodded.Soon the two were off again.
(What if the city they were headed for, seeing as though their army's there, what if the enemy set the city on fire, a little after they arrived?)
(What if the city they were headed for, seeing as though their army's there, what if the enemy set the city on fire, a little after they arrived?)
(Sure! Why not?)
"Ready to face this new adventure?" Vladimir asked, and looked ahead as he walked. Well, it might take time, but they had time.
"Ready to face this new adventure?" Vladimir asked, and looked ahead as he walked. Well, it might take time, but they had time.
He nodded. He was ready. He knew this adventure would take time but they had plently of that.Onward they went.
They would walk for a bit alone, and hopefully, they wouldn't run into anyone else out there. Of course, surprises were always around the coroner, if you know what I mean.
Nero looked ahead, walking in silence.Walking towards the city, it felt so close, but yet so far away. There was always the chance a bomb could fall from the sky, onto them, but he didn't care it any bother.
"So, thinking of joining the Army?" Vlad asked. He was always looking for potential recruits, and Neo always seemed like one.
"I didn't choose to do this...I was drafted or forced to do this..." he said."I dojt think I fit in the army to well" he said. The way he dressed, acted, fought, and everything, was different then other soldiers around here.
"Well, I'm guessing it wasn't your choice to be a Daemon hunter, then, hmm? I know only of a few very good Hunters out there that could give us a run for our money. One on our side. Or mine." Vlad said, and chuckled. Too bad for the kid. He was military to the core.
