The streets was dark, the lights of the city lighting up the background, the streetlights beaming onto the sidewalk, providing what tinted light there was to spare in the darkness between the outskirts of the city and the forest beside it. Footsteps echoed in the night. Though it seemed silent, it wasn't. Crickets called from the blades of grass, cars honked in the distance of the nearby downtown core, sirens of authorities. The scent of gas and smoke wafted in the air, mixed with the smell of the forest so nearby, you could tell the city had begun to break down on the forest, as grass was yellowing, trees started to look as if they'd rotten.

His eyes all observed this, these bright eyes, taking in every bit of information he could gather about his surroundings. He had no idea where he was, the city was unfamiliar to him and he had increasingly found himself lost. The cold night air had no effect on him, allowing himself to wear his dark vest with his gray shirt, puffs of his breath evaporated into the air continuously. The boy looked up to the streetlight as he passed underneath it, soon stopping himself by the pole and he gazed ahead. The inner cogs of his mind, turned and wheezed as he thought before he soon sighed.

"Lost, yet again."

The time on his clock read two am.

Elemeno sat nearby, on a roadside bench. He was an intimidating dark figure, but if you knew him, it would be like he was a small beacon of light. He was no vigilante, but at the same time, he'd never just stand by and watch someone be harmed unjustly. He was also just a generally, all around friendly guy.
"Hey, you looking for something?" he asked. The words were a bit intimidating, but El's tone was not.

Despite the friendly exterior of the person, he tensed. It took a second for him to turn in the direction of the roadside bench. He had not noticed the bench, how could he not notice the bench, let alone the figure sitting there. Male, appearance unknown, too dark. His eyes dilated, shadows covering from the light above covering parts of his face, however it looked as if he was a teenager. Most adults would probably consider having the appearance of a teenager dressed in dark clothing, would likely be looking for trouble.

However he didn't talk back like some thug teen who thought he was the best. The boy however stood there almost looking frightened by the sudden appearance of this person. He didn't speak at first, answering the figure with a shake of his head with sudden caution.

"Alright. You look lost is all," El shrugged and looked upwards. The stars didn't exactly stand out here with the light if the city, but he could see the bigger ones easily enough.
The werewolf let out an audible sigh but said nothing.

Blinking, he had glanced briefly into the sky wondering what the person was looking at but went back to looking in the figure's direction. Soon he decided to continue walking, shortly passing by the male sitting on the bench, quickly glancing in his direction with his glowing eyes before he began to speed walk off nervously down the street.

It was silent for the time being until the boy stopped once more in the darkness just before another streetlight's spotlight. He turned his head in the direction of an intersection as a car passed. He seemed frozen on the spot for a few moments before he suddenly turned on his heel and sprinted into the woods, his shoes scuffing loudly in the dirt until he disappeared.

What was that about?

El watched the other boy curiously and upon seein his strange reaction, decided to follow him. He stood up and began to leisurely walk in the direction he had gone and after he was sure he wouldn't be seen, he began to change.
Elemeno dropped onto all fours and his feet became longer and turned into paws. His fingers and toes fused to become four digits and fur sprouted up all over his body, replacing his clothes which seemed I meld with his skin. His nose elongated and his ears disappeared then new ones sprouted on top of his head and a furry tail grow out of his rear.
When the transformation, which had taken about 30 seconds, a jet black wolf with white speckles that made it look like he had been in the snow stood there and then darted off into the shadows, following after lupine with ease through the trees

He sped through the trees, focused on one thing he knew best. Running. From behind Elemeno on the streets it was possible to likely hear yelling. Angry yelling coming from several people. With a sudden dip, the boy fumbled slightly, dropping into a roll before continuing to run. The air was colder in the forest, farther away from the heat of the smoggy city.

Lupine ran at his top speed. It wasn't entirely clear what or who he was running from, but those legs of his kept him going. However the boy was oblivious to the wolf who followed him. His head whirled around looking for somewhere to hide as he ran through the woods.

El followed Lupine pretty closely though still hid in the trees and shadows.
After about half an hour, if Lupine could keep running at that speed for that long, he would reach a two story log cabin with all the lights off.

An odd trait of his, he in fact had lasted a half an hour, looking like he would last quite a bit longer. Yes, very odd. Seeing this cabin, his eyes lit up and suddenly sped up for it, reaching the perimeter around the clearing the cabin seemed to be established in. He skid to a sudden stop by a large boulder situated near where he was and hid behind it for a moment. He analyzed the outside of the cabin. He couldn't tell whether or not it had been abandoned, since he'd never seen such a thing before.

Utterly clueless child. He poked out from behind this boulder and began approaching the cabin, being careful to look back a moment to listen for his pursuers.

Out of the trees stepped Elemeno, still in his feral wolf form and he stared at Lupine for a moment then trotted towards a small rock near the front door of the cabin and lifted a rock near the front steps with his nose, revealing a key. He looked at Lupine then at the key and pawed at it.

With the sudden revealing of the wolf, the boy froze to a stop, eyes wide. What the heck was that, he had never seen one of those before. His systems wheezed as his eyes focused in on the wolf. Lupine didn't know what to do, something like this he had never seen previously his systems stalled for a moment. His heart beat loudly having been running for the last half and hour.

Systems suddenly flushed with information causing his the boy to flinch momentarily as in he had been pinched in a sensitive spot before his eyes once again focused on the wolf. Behavior: Non-aggressive likely. Likely hidden away in the dark, how did he not see it? Eyes focused on the key that the wolf seemed to be directing at. Intelligent: Likely. The cogs of his mind soon halted before he had decided, decision filled with sudden curiosity. He took a cautious step forward, looking as if he would run away at anytime if the wrong move was made.

El backed away and sat down, his ears perked forwards and tail wagging slowly like any dog. He looked down at the key then reached out with his paw and pulled it from it's hiding spot and pushed it towards Lupine through the short grass.

He froze once more though a little less tense this time, seeing as he was a little jittery considering every small creature that had similar features to this animal, had 'barked' at him when he encountered them. However this one seemed different in several ways. Appearance, behavior and over all nothing like the dogs he had seen.

He however whirled around at the sound of impending yelling, lights emitting from flash lights beaming through the leaves. The boy looked between the wolf and the distant lights for a moment before he suddenly turned in the direction of the wolf and ran over. Lupine stopped at the door looking at the key and back to the wolf, he picked up the key and put the key to the lock, turning it with a click. Turning the knob, he opened the door peering into the cabin. He looked back to the wolf before he swung it open enough to slip inside, hesitantly motioning for the wolf to follow.

The wolf slipped into the house the moment the door was open and he closed the door with his nose once Lupine was in then disappeared in a room for 30 seconds then reappeared as his human self.
"Go hide somewhere," he said and started turning on lights.

Seeing the wolf walk in and close the door, his brows rose. The boy however then looked up and peered around the cabin, his set of eyes glowing in the darkness of the cabin, he had watched the dog drift into the dark before he looked out the window.

With a light suddenly coming on he flinched as his eyes adjusted quickly he had jumped slightly at the male's voice and peered over at him, wide eyed. Where did the animal go? He looked a bit frightened again but obeyed the order as he had seen some light flash in through the window. He ran to the nearest closet, squeezing himself inside, he sat himself down low, pushed to the back of the closet so the darkness inside the closet and the contents would shield him from sight. The closet to the door closed and there were footsteps on the porch.

Elemeno heard the steps too and after making sure that no one could see him, went to the door and opened it slightly to look at the men.
"What do you want?" he asked, "This is private property."

In front of Elemeno stood a rather odious looking man, chubby, round and currently rather sweaty from running through the woods at his best speed (Obviously not really fast.) Behind him stood two taller muscular men who looked similar to police however seemed more rough and tough then a police officer. Both stood with their flashlights in hand, nightstick hooked on their belts along with a taser.

All red cheeked from the cold air, the shorter fat man looked up at Elemeno. Obviously looking like some sort of business man, the man adjusted his belt before he spoke. "sorry to intrude sir, but..." He said in a polite manner. "We were wondering if you have seen a kid about yay height," the man held his stubby hand a couple inches above his head. "Nice young boy, discolored eyes, dark clothing, pale blonde hair." The man cleared his throat beaming up at Elemeno for an answer.

"No, I did not. My doors have been locked all night," he gave a disconcerted grunt, "Now please get off my property. I don't like Feds, but you're not Feds and you seem worse. I'll give you twenty seconds."

The chubby business looking man, glanced briefly at one of his guards before looking back to Elemeno. "Ah! Please, if you do see him then please contact us." The man held out a card with a number written on it. "Please... He's my son." The man before Elemeno seemed to be truthful of it but you couldn't say for sure.

Within the closet, Lupine brought his knees to his chest. Heart beating in his ear, he could hear the men speaking. Those weird feelings were happening again and he didn't like it. He lower his head to hide it within the protection of his arms and legs.

"Maybe," he said but accepted the card and put it in his pocket, "Your time starts when I close the door," El said and shut then locked it with the deadbolt and looked out the window to make sure they were leaving.
