Hey everyone! I'm looking for a little Pokemon roleplay because I've been super into the video games recently. I'd like to adjust Oliver here to fit the scenario, although he will likely remain merfolk. Also, it's likely that there will be an element of OC X Canon, as I will be playing as quite a few canon characters as well. The roleplay will take place in a Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon setting. I'm open to any ideas plot-wise, but there are a couple plots we could use.

Magic is common.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played one-on-one.
