The human city of Zakadur on the border of the jungle of Raz'kata is ancient. Its economy is based on the capture and sale of rare mythical beings to zoos and travelling circuses throughout the land. For trappers and hunters, it's a paradise. For mythical creatures, it's a dangerous place to be.

Players aged 16+ are preferred. If you're a year or so younger than that and feel you're more mature than average, we can discuss things, but there will be extra limits set on RP to keep everyone comfortable regarding the age gap.
This is a multi-paragraph RP. If you feel you can't maintain a pace of about 2 paragraphs average per post, this might not be for you. Also, expect long posts from me early on - don't feel obligated to keep up with them and don't expect them to persist throughout; it'd be mostly due to me setting the scene.

Deril has always been a bold little naga. And one attracted to shiny objects and the human concept of possession. But when the kid tries getting too close to the city, his plans backfire. Caught in a hunter's trap on the outskirts of town, he finds himself at the mercy of the first individual who finds him...
I'm trying to get more RPs out of this kid's naga form.
I'm hoping to find a partner who can fulfil any of these conditions:
1) Your character is another mythical being coming across Deril who then proceeds to save him and return him to the jungle.
2) Your character is a citizen of the city who rescues Deril from the trap and takes him into their home.
3) Your character is a hunter who upon finding out that their trap had caught a child, questions their occupation and the morals involved.
This is a 1x1 scenario, but I'm willing to have multiple versions going on at once.
Adventure is entirely possible in this scenario, as is cute slice-of-life stuff. Naturally, Deril is too young to be available for romance, though I won't deny crushes taking place if you want to use a character close to his age (as long as it doesn't go too far or break the site rules).
Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Renaissance
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.

Hmm... I am interested in doing the first plot with the character I have displayed. I think the dynamic of a friendship between these two could be quite fun, given that Totona is a merchant and Deril is a thief, yet also a child, which means Totona would be severely less inclined to beat the crap out of him like she would most thieves. Given me a shout through a PM if you are willing to do an alternate plot!
I'm open to the second option, if it's still available.
