Just your Not-So-Ordinary Apocolypse Setting~

Rules; apply to everyone.
  1. Avoid OOC drama at all costs.
  2. If you cannot reply at least once a day/once every two days then this roleplay really isn't for you.
  3. Four paragraphs at least per response.
    • I consider a paragraph to be 4/5+ lines. Not sentences. Try to include as much detail as humanly possible to really give the feel.
  4. This roleplay is NOT. set on earth. It is set on mine + a friend's world, so any questions just come to me and I should be able to provide some answers.
  5. If you find yourself no longer interested, that's okay! But please don't ghost me/us. Please just kindly tell me if you are no longer feeling it and we can go separate ways! :)
    • That being said, please also notify me if you're taking a two day+ break so we know to skip you until you return :)

The Desolate Empire; A connection of six entirely different realms which form to make a universe. Each realm is vastly different from the next with different traditions and races, with different lifestyles and beliefs.

Despite all six realms, there is a realm drift between which is essentially a tavern; a bar, if you will. This is a sacred place where people from all six realms gather to simply get along and forget their troubles. Well. They used to, anyway.

Ever since that one catastrophic event, just like five of the other realms, this drift was left in debris and crumbles. It was not safe from the wide explosion that took place, and therefore is no longer that once sacred place it had been before. Despite this, some men came together and rebuilt a smaller one out of the previous ones' rubble, which allowed many to come and take a break from the constant violence of the apocolyptic scene. It might've just been the only safe place left.

And no one wants to lose it.

There is a lot of conflict between the races.
Many, many decades ago, a large catastrophic event occured, which ultimately shattered all six realms. It was a horribly large explosion, which destroyed and eliminated everything that stood in its path. Unfortunately, this explosion damaged everything beyond repair, therefore plunging the realm connection into utter chaos and a third world crisis. Everyone went into panic, until several people joined together to form the Council of Krupt.

This council/government is also corrupted, but that's a story for another day. If you wanna know just ask; I can go on about that too!

However, this is where the story goes a bit lopsided.

The "Heaven" Realm is a realm full of fortunate tellers and people who can predict the future. So as this indicates, these people in this realm knew about the said explosion thousands of years before it happened. So, like anybody with common sense would do, the whole realm began to prepare themselves for it. They began learning barrier spells strong enough to withstand the supposed jolts the explosion would produce. They taught people special 'duck and cover' techniques just incase that plan failed.

However, due to them being selfish jerks who care nothing but themselves, they failed drastically to inform the other realms about what was coming. When the time did come, no one else was prepared for it, therefore plunging the world into a pretty-much-eternal apocolypse. Aside from the "heaven" realm, obviously.

Everyone else began to become extremely suspicious. They were discussing it in the council once, and one of the old members of it ended up announcing it publicly. This made pretty much everyone begun to dislike or despise anyone from this "heaven" realm, and their reputation as perfect and proper immediately crumbled beneath them. However, somehow they have managed to remain more liked than the "hell" realm, probably due to people being bias and people being manipulated.

So basically, no matter what your race is, everyone hates the Oua'euol'ia. Unless you are an Oua'euol'ia.

Basic Premisis:

All of our characters are trapped in this drift, which has slowly fallen apart. There is absolutely no way to escape, so there's no point in trying. However, our characters are all from different races, therefore we may not get along.

Just your average 'survive in a world full of savages' plot.

Races
PLEASE READ ME! I'M IMPORTANT!

Please do not all choose the same race. If a race has more population than another, there is a likely chance that that character will not be accepted until the numbers have evened out. So please try to balance the races as much as possible!

I'oau'oila; A race of demonical wolvern hybrids who grew up in a world full of nothing but hatred and war.

I'oau'oila is a very special race, being one of only two hybrid races there is. These fantastic creatures are strong, powerful, brave and fantastic leaders. However, within these aspects comes with greed, hatred towards each other and disrespect. It's kill or be killed, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. These creatures love to start violent fights, whether they are sober or drunk. Over half of the population are merciless murderers, who have the intent to kill anyone and everyone who stands in their way.

This race has four defining traits; eyes, ears, tail and cracks. They are split into two categories, which are based on the hybrid factor;

Broken Soul
I'oau'oila only have one possible eye colour: red. Their eyes are a bright red, which glow under the cover of darkness. Some are dimmer than others, some seem more dead. Some are bright, some are more alive. While there are many variations, they're all clearly red.

These individual have odd cracks traced and encarved into their skin. This can vary in a person, but they all have it. They could be drawn on the person's face, arms, sides, back, hands, pelvis, thighs, feet, etc. It's possible anywhere, and no two of them are exactly the same.

Wolvern
Individuals of this race also possess the addition of wolvern ears and a wolvern tail. Shape and appearances varies on the person, but they tend to be the same colour as the individuals hair. If they're sharp, it usually means that that individual is quite alert and agile. Ears that twitch constantly without the person noticing usually means they're anxious. And so on.

J'aoun'loa; Essentially a race of humans with vast magical abilities. No real defining traits.

J'aoun'loa are the humane race. A lot like earth humans, they have no real defining traits that come with their species. They come in all shapes and sizes, with different hair colours, different eye colours, different clothes size, different clothes. Nothing really stays the same.

Their personalities vary, as well as their social interaction. Some may be violent while others are peaceful. They could have magic while they could also have rune stones. Some may also have no magic whatsoever!

Au'oil'ueo; A race of water beings with the shapes of man and woman, who also have water adapted abilities.

Current Population (In The Roleplay): 0




Au'oil'ueo are essentially a mermaid and merman race. While they do not have tails like the mythical creatures do, they have many underwater features that have adapted and evolved to fit both land and water conditions.

They have gills which are placed where their temples are, just in front of the ears. This allows them to breathe underwater. When they enter water, they have no problem opening their eyes to see where they are headed. They can also talk underwater as well!

Their eyes are a defining trait; they're always blue. If they are a part of that race then there is no possibility of them being another colour.

They are usually able to keep relatively calm, and rarely ever get an unreasonable temper. They're quite level-headed and yet are supidly niäve to the horrible-ness of the realms. They love water life such as fish, sharks, coral, etc etc.

Oua'euol'ia; A race of selfish, jerk-ish people.

Oua'euol'ia are the total opposites to I'oau'oila. While I'oau'oila are essentially the 'demons' of the six realms, the Oua'euol'ia are the 'angels' aside from... They aren't exactly as sweet. They are a race full of selfish assholes, who care for no one but themselves and their own kind.

They tend to be incredibly pale, and eye colours range from a pale grey to a pale blue, to a striking gold.

They are greedy and fame/money hungry, and will do anything to keep themselves safe over others. They willingly sacrifice other people for their own safety, and would easily steal from others no matter their status if it meant profit or fortune for them. They don't give two shits about what anyone else thinks, and it's not exactly surprising either.

No one likes them much. This realm is full of fortune tellers; so they saw the explosion coming decades before it actually happened. So they had time to prepare their realm and make sure it didn't collapse, but they didn't tell anybody else. So once everyone else found out, they all turned against the Oua'euol'ia and they now despise them.

Fre'ioi'lue; A race of peaceful beings who are one with nature.

Current Population (In The Roleplay): 0




These people are like the elves of the realms. They love nature, are at harmony with the world, and do not believe in violence unless absolutely necessary. They love animals as well, as well as taking care of plants. They're usually heavily skilled in natural medicine and treatments.

They tend to have green eyes, almost emerald. Sometimes they can be a very deep blue however, despite what most have thought in the previous years.

They're calm and has extensive knowledge of the world. While they're not omnipotent (all-knowing), they have much knowledge on many people, things and practices, and are often educating others who have not had the opportunity to be properly educated before. They try to avoid disputes and arguments, along with settling and stopping said arguments and disagreements.

Jo'eli'lauo; The second and last hybrid race, a mix of fairy-type creatures and J'aoun'loa.

Jo'eli'lauo are the only other hybrids in these six realms. They're J'aoun'loa's, human like creatures, mixed with fairy-like beings. They're incredibly sweet and innocent, also being very niäve to the dangers of the world. However, they're also very quick thinkers and can manage to get out of most situations just in time.

They usually have eye colours that are different shades of pink and magenta. Shades can vary significantly.

They're agile and quick on their feet, and most of them are extensively flexible. Some of them have wings, or at least the majority of them do. There have been a few rare cases where they haven't but it's unlikely to happen.

The "Glitch" (UNAVAILABLE)

The "Glitch" is essentially another side of people. It is passed through bloodline, as it not communicable between people. She is the embodiment of everything a person hates; all of a person's insecurities. She is hidden deep inside, until the individual loses control. Glitch's are born with people at birth. There is no cure, and no way to get rid of them. Control becomes better as the individual gets older. Control weakens when a person is afraid, stressed or anxious.

When a person "Glitches," it is essentially a teleportation method. It makes them look like a default in a videogame, becoming slightly deformed for a moment before they teleport from where they stood before to another location. If the will is strong enough, the individual can also sometimes glitch through objects and walls.

However, each time a person Glitches, there are awful consequences. Their skin will begin to turn grey, while their hair will start to turn a deep black. Eventually, their eyes will completely blackout, and this is the significant indication that the "Glitch" has gained control. Once this happens, the "Glitch" will not stop at anything to complete a goal, which varies on everyone.

The "Glitch" can be dismissed, but ways of dismissal can, once again, vary between individuals. Sometimes it's incredibly hard to irradiate a "Glitch", while other times it can almost seem too easy to do it. Usually the method stays the same repeatedly, but there have been a few rare cases where the method changes each time the "Glitch" returns.

Shadow Mimicry

User is made up of or can transform their body completely into darkness/shadows. Users' transformed form is anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of darkness/shadows, in which case, it contains all organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately, the user can transform into homogeneous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other.

The user can assume a two-dimensional form, extend outward to become a larger shadow, blend into the darkness/shadows completely, or even teleport through them.

Shadow Manipulation

The user can create/summon a guardian that may be a physical or purely spiritual being, with appearances varying greatly from humanoid (with various weaponry and skills) to animal or even mythical beings. The guardian will act to protect the user at all costs and fights on their behalf. The guardian's strength may be driven by the user's force of will or physical movements, or by its own independent will.

The user may be able to summon portions as opposed to the entire entity, such as an arm alone, in order to reduce the energy consumption and space occupation. The guardian may either appear next to the user, allowing the user to stand on top or surround the user as a form of armor, which can also be used to protect others.

Wind occurs because of horizontal and vertical differences in atmospheric pressure, and include breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, zephyrs, gales, tempests, and hurricanes.

Since air cannot be seen by conventional methods, neither can the attacks and derivatives formed by/from it, making it an invisible and versatile weapon that is very difficult to block and dodge.

Nature Manipulation

Because user can communicate with nature, they become instantly familiar with their surroundings, the connection is so deep that the earth can respond to one's emotions and desires (blossoming with flowers and calming weather when happy, making skies stormy or cause earthquakes when angry, shifting the landscape to gain the advantage in a fight, etc.)

The user can purify, heal and generally influence the health of nature, and considering the fact that they're helping the environment, plants and animals act favorably towards user. They have access to every living species of animal on Earth and can also draw strength from them and acquire their abilities. Nature obeys users every command and operate on a "hive mind", meaning users can control an entire army of animals.

They can repel and attract matter and energy regardless of its mass or move objects in a manner similar to telekinesis.

Offensive uses of this power include repulsing people or objects with such force to shatter practically anything, increasing gravity to crush or immobilize opponents, decreasing it to render them defenseless, or surrounding one's body in a gravitational field to amplify physical strength. The user can cause plants to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate plants by rearranging DNA structure and revive withered or dead plants.

They can use their power for defense and support, cause flowers and other plants to bloom instantaneously, manipulate tree branches to use them as whip-like weapons, control spores and pollen, and bring plants back to life and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, use plant chemicals to heal people/objects or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects.

Though less commonly activated by passive users, the ability may deal a series of offensive techniques on a target. Using the plants as weapons enables users to grasp and strike continuously with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly regenerate the withering weapons at the user’s will. They can grow vines to entangle enemies climb around a target's neck, causing choking, or strike with plants. A more subtle technique is to release damaging toxins and pheromones, affecting targets in which conditions should be treated quickly with ailments.
