Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, one-off scene.

That's fine Ang! You don't have to make long posts.
If you want advice, try following "The Rule of 3"
1) React to previous post (and introduce your character if it is your first post)
2) Speak (your character says something)
3) Act (Your character does something, similar to the reaction above)
If find following those rules help alot, though you don't have to follow them 100%.

Don't force yourself to make big posts for others.
