It’s time for a contest of inter-dimensional proportions! Taffy the d’jinn has sent you and your team invitations to a major fighting competition with a fabulous prize: The Sunken Treasure of King Rooty-Toot II! Even spread across your entire team, there is enough wealth there to set for life!
The objective is simple: There are five teams, each with five members. The last team not to get thrown completely out of the 300 meter diameter arena will be declared the winner and shall claim their prize!
The rules are also simple, but failure to abide by them will result in a lightning strike (this is not a metaphor):
Your team seems to have this in the bag, but who are these freaks? They seem to fight with weird techniques and tactics that don't make sense. They’re too goofy to be invincible, though, and you are determined to find their weaknesses, just like they are determined to find yours.

Hey all! This game is open to all non-planet-busters. Furries, ferals, humans, machines, angels, demons, undead, animated-inanimate objects, male, female, and any combinations of any of the above. The only hard restriction is no canon characters (fan-characters, on the other hand, are more than welcome). Please note that all characters must be approved by me first. Anyone who cares to know my system can skip to the bottom.
I’d like to keep this a one-on-one game where we each control multiple characters so we don't have to worry about post order. We’ll pit our characters against one another (as well as some fodder NPCs on other teams) to try and see which team wins the day! We can use plot twists and super-forms and secret techniques and loopholes in the rules! It’ll be a grand ol’ time!

1. No Deadly Weapons, such as clubs, swords, guns, or the like
2. No killing other competitors
3. No flying for too long (will be decided arbitrarily by the judges)
4. Falling out of the arena results in immediate elimination from the competition
5. No spending more than one minute at the refreshment stand in the center of the arena at a time (yes, we have one!)
6. One drink and one snack per competitor (no exceptions)

To keep us from having to do lots of math, I use a type system. You can compose your team of any combination of these types:
Tank: the peak in offense and defense, but not great at anything else
Glass Cannon: fragile but lethal, usually quick, but not always
Gimmick Fighter: does weird things too hard to classify (usually with an equally gimmicky set of weaknesses)
Champ: a generalist with few weak areas, very adaptable
Support: less a fighter and more a trickster, typically quick, smart, but weak in offense
Some combinations of this are allowed, but will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Preference will be given to weird/interesting characters, regardless of type(s). You are not obligated to tell me which of your characters is which type. Any characters who seem overpowered will be rejected unless they can be toned down somehow.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
The RP is entirely based around combat and nothing else, such as an arena where nothing else happens.
