Tenoji Tails (played by CactusBat)

Humans never see what lives among them, the shadow world of fantasy that exists beside them.

Within it, the supernatural exists within plain sight before your very eyes.

Rumor has it, that on certain nights, in certain cities all around the world...a fog will roll in, and if you happen upon a mischievous fox in the night. And if you do, this being will pull back the curtain of this hidden world...and give you the means to join in the eternal dance of the unreal.

Might you be a person seeking to become something more, a person of interest, yet without the power to survive the dark, hidden wars behind the curtain.

The moon waxed full and bright in the sky above, as a man in a white trench coat strode forth from an alleyway, carrying in his hand a large attache-case. The town he was in tonight could've been anywhere. From behind him, an old TV set sat glowing from atop a large trash bin glowed brightly with a screen of soft static. The man trotted along a sidewalk, well worn boot clicking as he moved. He flicked a tail of his coat open...and by strangest of coincidences, a thick fog began to roll in from the behind the buildings he passed.

Eventually, Tenoji came upon a small playground, and letting his lips quirk into a smile as he walked towards the swing set. With an ease nonchalance, the strange wandered set down his case and settled down into a swing. He pushed off and let himself idly swing as he waited, and watched the fog clad night.
Delilah Pheonix (played by Ambrosia)

Delilah was on her way home when she she realized there was fog surrounding her. It was strange to say he least, one minute it's a clear cold night and another minute it's warm and there's fog obscuring her vision. She heard the distant creek of chains on a swing. Strange, the sounds of the bustling city had all gone, all except the creaking. She was curious to say the least, her heart began to beat as if she ran a marathon. She was afraid to find the source of the noise, yet curious as to what or who was making it.

Her feet were moving by themselves, mostly because she let them and didn't put much of fight to go in another direction. There he was, The cause of the noise, the man in the mist. She found his very existence, alluring, a mystery. Her eyes fixed on him go back and forth, she was puzzled as to why she was there but, it's like she was meant to find him... Like he's the man that's going to change her way life.

She approached him slowly, her heels clacking against the stone ground beneath her "Erm, excuse me" she built up the courage to speak to the man, now standing before him "Can you tell me where i am... and who you are?

As a woman approached, Tenoji lifted the mask hanging about his mask to his face. The elegant white and red kitsune mask obscured all of the mysterious figures features. His deep green eyes twinkled brightly in the night, as he gave her a calm, discerning look from behind the mask. He let his swing ease so he merely sat swaying softly. He laid his elbows to his knees, letting his chin rest on a bridge of his fingers. "To quote a movie of yesteryear, might I point out the paradox of asking a man in a mask who he is. I suppose I am less a who and more a what. And what I am, is a wandering man in a mask looking for his ticket back home. But I suppose that is cumbersome at best to speak...so let me just say, I am Tenoji." He gave an easy shrug of his shoulders, and a deep, drawn sigh.

"As for where you are? Well, right now, you are in a fog-shrouded playground in whatever city you were just in, talking to a obviously completely crazy man in a white coat whose playing on a swing. Or...Maybe not? It's gotten rather fuzzy of late. Maybe where you were and where you are has also leeched deep into the Bleed." He gave a simple, disarmingly easy chuckle. "But it's probably nothing and it should right itself whenever this fog clears. A better set of questions for this encounter might be thus; Who might you be? And more importantly, do you believe in the supernatural?"
Delilah Pheonix (played by Ambrosia)

She thought she was going crazy, maybe he was right, she's stupid enough to approach him, a stranger sitting in a foggy play ground. A mask covering face to hide his features, yet she still felt allured to his mystery.

"I am Delilah, i prefer Lia. I don't believe but, it will be interesting to see you persuade me"
Crystie (played by Crystie78)

A shivered rocked Crystie before she drew her jacket closer to her.
“Shouldn’t have stayed so long,” She muttered to herself as she jogged down the steps to the library. She hadn’t realized that five hours had passed since she had stated studying. Groaning, she shoved her book in her backpack before throwing it over her shoulder. Looks like I’m eating out again. Zipping her jacket up to her throat, she made her way to the café down the street. She had been eating here the last couple of days as she crammed for her test. The waitresses now knew her by name; what an excuse for a life! She kept convincing herself it was just one more test, one more book, and one more business meeting before she’d really begin her research. It had to be worth it… right? All this work had to mean something.
Crystie was too disgruntled at first to notice the slow, thick fog moving in towards her. After a few moments though, when the fog made its way into her vision, it was hard not to realize. At first the sight had startled her; the fog had appeared so suddenly. Then, she chuckled as she watched it sweep through the town, leaving an eerie glow behind it.
“Well that’s something you don’t see every day,” She commented to herself , admiring the change in scenery as she continued on down the street.

"Ahh yes, wisdom in questioning the obviously out of place individual on the swing..." He paused briefly, rubbing his chin, it was obvious what he said next was directed at himself more than it was to Lia. "Actually, good point, why did I think a playground was the best place to do this. Oh, yes, super supernatural Ten, a playground for children under the age of 12. How disarming and creepy. Great job, brain." He ran his fingers through his black hair, toying at the single crimson red streak that ran through his bangs, as he let out a drawn sigh. But he returned to the task at hand with a practiced focus. "Oh, I believe I can do that. Watch carefully."

He lifted his hand to his face, and the most obvious change immediately was his hand wasn't human anymore. He had a dark furred hands, leathery black canine pads on his palms. He placed this clawed hand to his mask; his eyes no longer a green, but now, a glowing golden shade that twinkled in the fog-shrouded moonlight. As slowly pulled away the mask to the side, and there was no human face as before he had placed it there. Rather, the smiling visage of a red furred fox, with strange curled white markings around his eyes and cheeks, looked back at her from the half-pulled away mask.

His eyes flickered to another woman walking this night, as she came into view from the fog. He seemed unconcerned about being seen as he pulled the mask away completely and secreted it away into his coat. "There is a secret world hidden from human eyes. A world where more things exist than you'd even know, where the unexplained is the norm, and the unreal is no longer a fantasy. Here, let me show you...In this town alone..." he glided to his feet, leaving his boots behind as they no longer fit his pawed feet. He strode confidently forward, his bushy tail flicking about. He extended a hand, a coin appearing in the fox's hand, and gave a snap of his fingers. This sent the coin flying into the misty night, disappearing from sight. Yet it never clattered as it struck anything, it simply seemed to be eaten by the fog itself.

The fog in the road suddenly took form, assuming shapes in response to gentle motions of Ten's hands. "Down that road, till it nearly escapes the borders of this town, there is a tudor home...cookie-cutter as all those beside it." The fog shaped itself into the home in question, playing with it's shapes and colors like a living sculpture. "But within that home, there lives a desperate man. He is no longer human, and hasn't been so for a hundred years. Or at least, so mu nose and my magic tells me of his aura." The fog settled into a hard image of a bald man, sitting alone at his small kitchen table. The fog-man stared deeply in contemplation of the depths of his coffee mug. "He is a vampire by your tongue. He has fled from his duties to Sire as Childe, and the personal manipulations and enthrallments it brings. He feeds once a week, normally on stray animals, but occasionally people too. He never kills." The Fog shaped itself into the imagine of a older woman laying upon the ground, unconscious, as the bald man stood over her...His face was covered heavily with his hands, but a screaming mouth allowed a revealing peek at fangs. "He struggles to hold tight to every piece of humanity he has left, but it is becoming harder and harder as years pass. Especially so, now that the internet has made it very hard to deceive the government into believing in faked deaths and passing inheritance onto another close relative with remarkably resemblances. He knows the options given to him are returning to his Sire to be yet again a pawn in his creator's schemes, or Torpor in a grave for the next century. Both options terrify him." Ten gave a small wane frown, as he cleared the image. He shook his head softly, and began to weave with his hands again.

"That is just one tale happening right now in this reality. There are so many more, in places you will never even see; the enchanted world of Arcadia where the feyfolk dance, the Mirror Lands where spirits hide from the corrupting influence of human hands, the Umbral where the shadows of the world make a perverse mockery of your existence, the watchtowers...sources of all magic in the world, the realm of God-Machine and it's machinations of the firmament, The Nether of the restless dead, and finally, the Bleed...where I have been wandering the spaces where reality and fictional meet so I might find a way back to my home. So many places beyond the sight of human eyes and human belief, by the gods, places I am not even sure I believe in...And I live among them." He gave a hard snort. "So, proof enough? No one has to believe, in all honestly, the only reason I feel secure going on this ramble is because no human would believe you either...and by the time anyone who would comes seeking me for retribution for spilling the secrets, I will be long gone."
Delilah Pheonix (played by Ambrosia)

Delilah watched the fog change shape and put together images. She was was awed by the fact he could do that. She looked back at the man-ish thing "Say there are places like these that exist, how do you plan on getting there? you can say you sparked my interest" she smiled sitting on a bench opposite him. She crossed her legs and thought of all the possibilities, all the supernatural beings that she thought were real as a child... maybe they're ll real... She would be different as a person, maybe more open minded. She watched these stories unfold in the fog, her eyes glistened in the moonlight.

((I am gonna take a pause for Crystie's post to hopefully get her wrapped up in this before he pulls out the case of coins))

"How do I plan on getting there? Well, human, I am already in one. I am lost in The Bleed as it were, this just being one of my stops along the journey. I honestly cannot say I recommend the trip, it has been...Very strange and stressful." He coughed softly into a balled fist, "And The Mirror Lands I can access without too much trouble with just a pane of glass or spiritual icon to act as a portal. A few of the others are forbidden to my kind. But the point be, why do you even need to travel to different worlds, when there's plenty hidden inside any major city? But this life is one that most are normally born into...Or awaken too later in life." He moved back towards the swing set, and stooped to pick up the case, "But, I have a way to bring even the most mundane of human's magic to survive among the creatures of the night, and I am curious...What would happen if I gave normal people these..."
Delilah Pheonix (played by Ambrosia)

Delilah looked upon the coins awe, they were so alluring, she slowly reached for one without realising, the smouldering coin called her. She realised what she was doing good and snapped out of it, shaking her head from all thought "what are they? Why are they all so different" she asked glancing at him then back at the coins.

(I don't see why not Jasen. We are having a plot discussion over at this Thread there))
Reggie the Space Vik (played by 0V3RL0RD-P4RR0T)

"Crap."Reggie muttered. Red lights were flashing in his ship, and the engines were sputtering out. He was out of fuel. And unfortunately his ship had entered Earth's gravitational pull and was hurtling through the atmosphere. His ship careened through sky. The ship was quickly approaching the ground, and Reggie managed to steer the ship over what he thought was empty. Unfortunately it was right over Tenoji, Crystie, and Delilah. by now they'd be able to here the ship hurtling to the ground.
Crystie (played by Crystie78)

Crystie turned as she heard the whistle of the ship as it whizzed down towards earth. what is that? A space shuttle? she only glimpsed the side of the ship before it collided to the ground. Crystie almost took a tumble to the ground, but luckily regain her compare in the silence that followed.
"Oh no, what if someone is hurt!" She muttered to herself, taking off in a run back towards the playground. As she drew nearer, she noticed it was actually some sort of spaceship. Part of the ship was in flames, but she was unable to locate the front of the ship. as she approached, she noticed a girl and what looked like a fox-man together by the swing set. She was too startled about the spaceship to inquire about the odd looking man.
"Are you guys alright? Did you see anybody leave the ship?" She asked them breathlessly.

(In Before Crystie shows up)

Ten's ear pricked and his gaze shot skyward. He let out a loud feral bark, "By the Gods..." Then he looked back to Lia who had been looking at the coins. "This, this is what I mean. Who needs planar travel!"

Ten's eyes blazed brightly golden, small flames sparking from the corners of his golden orbs as he called upon his magic. The tip of his tail blazed with a bright green flame. And then, he let out a curse. This world in particular had enough magic to support supernaturalism, but not enough for him to draw his full strength. The Bleed denied him, forcing him to take on the world's limitations. But to stop the ship from dealing simply massive damage to everything nearby, he needed more power.

He looked to the coins in his case, and knew then, he might have to use one. But he knew the risks. He hadn't made or tested them on a mythical creature like himself. They had been designed to he used as a reservoir of power for someone without any of their own. Their could be severe consequences for one such as him using one. Damn the consequences...An atmospheric impact of that would reduce him and Delilah to fresh corpses.

He snapped a coin out of the case in a fluid motion, as he shut the case hard. He looked at it and spoke quickly, "C'mon ya old Wind Spirit...Don't let a fellow myth down, Tengu." He flipped the coin into the air, holding out his arm as it fell. He kept his eye fiercely focused on the falling space craft, counting the seconds. The coin impacted Ten's inner fore arm and suck there...It flared with a bright green light, as a sudden flurry of wind spread from Ten. Ten's fur and skin pulled the coin into them, and it disappeared into his flesh, leaving behind a glowing mark of it's image.

Delilah could watch the change, as Ten's golden eyes suddenly became a luminous light blue. His coat ripped up the middle of it's back, transmuting from cloth to wings of pristine white feathers. Ten looked about, realizing what he needed to do. He had drawn the coin at random, but with their combined powers, he could do what he needed. He couldn't stop the descend of the vessel, but he could arrest it just enough to not be lethal.

He places his hands together, interlacing his fingers into a tight pattern. "Be as the storm..."

Suddenly the gales of wind around them picked up, as Ten manipulated the currents around them. They swirled heavier and heavier, Ten's magic laced itself in the winds as teal and golden motes of light. He was creating a funnel, a swirling column of wind and the night's fog.

But Ten was not in good shape, from his lower under eyelids and nose, blood flowed as though he was bleeding internally. The mark of the coin was smoking, the scent of burn skin and fur joining the air. What he had feared was correct, the Coins where incompatible with non-mundanes. And he was suffering the consequences now. But he pushed that aside, Pain was but part of the Storm...Master it, ride it, it was but your illusion, Ten. Focus...

Now, to ensure his and Delilahs...At the foot of the Storm Funnel, Ten began to strengthen the winds again, enough that outside the eye of the storm, it was tearing apart the playground. Huge chunks of earth and anything else that wasn't bolted to the earth was lifted and pulled to them. Ten erected this mass of flotsam and jetsom of the storm into a dome around them. And with a sharp bark, he smashed it into the earth.

It pushed outward against the torrent with pressure equal to that he smashed down with, crushing the debris into a dome around himself and Delilah.

And all his efforts expended, Ten could hold no more. He blacked out, just as the concussive blast against the earth told him that they ship had impacted.

((Now, with Crystie there and what she finds))

The impact had ripped Ten's defensive barrier of debris in two, bearing the impact of the concussion wave as Ten had intended. Ten was just barely coming to his senses after losing control, crawling on his hands and knees over the compacted flotsam...he got about two feet from the rubble, before groaning and retching hard. His guts expelled a hot stream of blood from his mouth. He clawed at his forearm, "Get it out...Come out...You are killing me..." He retched again, the bloody puddle in the rubble growing, before he pressed properly on the mark of his forearm, and the Coin was reappeared. Ten let out a sign of relief. "Well, there's a demo of rule one. If you got powers already, never use the Coin. It'll rip your insides apart." Ten attempted to sit up, making a hand sign as he breathed deeply.
Reggie the Space Vik (played by 0V3RL0RD-P4RR0T)

Reggie groaned. His ship had apparently been slowed by something, he didn't see what though before the ship hit the ground. He managed to get the door of his ship open with some force. He stumbled out of the ship, still regaining his balance from the crash. "Ugh.... last time I try and fly this thing with out a full fuel tank."He grumbled.
Delilah Pheonix (played by Ambrosia)

Delilah kneeled down besides Ten "Are you okay?" She hadn't a clue what to do, he was puking up his insides for god sake! She saw the coin pop out from his skin and fall to the floor with a *Ting*. She helped him sit back and inspected him for any other damage "If the coins let me do that then HELL YES!" She said with a smile.

Lia turned towards Crystie "Oh, hey, yea he's okay but, i've never seen one anyone leave that thing" delilah turned towards it, expecting thick fog to gush out as a door lowered to the ground and a dude with antennas wanting to probe them... Delilah was cautious whatever the outcome.

She approached the ship slowly, whatever it was it was impressive looking "What is NASA doing underneath our noses?..."
Crystie (played by Crystie78)

What the hell did she just walk into..? She finally took time to take in Ten's appearance, and was surprised to find out he was not human. She was more surprised to find out he seemed to be dying.

"What's going on over here?!" She asked, glancing at the coins in the briefcase.

"Some kind of drug deal..?" She asked aloud. The girl didn't seem like a druggie and as for the fox man..she really wasn't sure what to think. Maybe it was just a mask? A very, realistic costume. She turned to the man who exited the spaceship.

"How about you? Are you alright their?" She placed a comforting hand in his back looking for injuries. She knew how to treat humans, but not..whatever Ten was.
Reggie the Space Vik (played by 0V3RL0RD-P4RR0T)

"Ugh... I think I'm gonna heave."Reggie grumbled. Thankfully he wasn't injured all that much. Though he did have plenty of scrapes and bruises. It took a few minutes but Reggie eventually managed to gain his berrings. He turned and saw his ship and his jaw almost hit the ground. "YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! THIS'LL TAKE FOREVER TO FIX! ASSUMING THIS PLANET'S GOT THE PARTS I NEED!"Reggie shouted.
