(1x1 RP with fallensiner)

Zalia ran. She was so tired of running, her legs burned, her breaths came in short gasps, but she didn't stop. To stop would be to die. Shadows chased her, swift beings that moved in the night and haunted children's dreams. The moon was high in the sky, illuminating the scene of the mahogany-haired female that ran down the streets of a quiet town, everyone having gone in for the night. Everyone but her, and her pursuers.
Whispers reached her ears as she ran. 'Half-blood', 'Mongrel'. The names they hissed at her made her cringe, but she pushed on. What was she hoping to do? Run until the sun came up? that would never work. But if she stopped, they would be on her, and the pain would be unbearable. They didn't want her for a meal, no. They wanted to hurt her. To do everything to her, short of killing her, because a wretched half-blood like her didn't deserve to live happily. In fact, the only reason they didn't kill her was because of her father. Her father, who took pleasure in nothing more than he did in beating her to an inch of her life and then letting her recover so that he could do it all over again.
But now she had escaped. She was free, until those pure-bloods had caught her scent and gone after her. And so...she ran.

Kenji during the night he took a deep breath of the night air. He could relax finally. His bandages that normally coverd his face were off showingh is beautiful form. It was slightly masuculine but from the ages he has lived it has taken on a feminie form. His pointed ears were another added effect. Unlike other Vampires he wasn't born or made persay. He a direct result of an artifact and a ritual. So you could say he was reborn as a vampire. He for once in his troublesome life could relax against the night air, as the stars and moonlight lit up the field. The silence was broken by the sound of swift movement and footsteps. He sighed as he sniffed the cold air, he caught the scent of pureblooded vampires and another scent he couldn't quite pick up the other scent.
As he turned around he saw a woman running for her life and he stood there motionless in the field watching waiting to se what she was running from. When the glowing eyes caught his attention. He then stood poised and ready for action.

Zalia was slowing down; the vampires were gaining on her, their snickering laughter cruel on her ears. She suddenly felt something. A new presence, someone around. It startled her so much that she tripped, hitting the ground with more force than she liked. The vampires were on her in moments, kicking, clawing, slashing. Zalia screamed. She tried to fight against them, but it was no use. There were five, and she was no match for them.

Kenji took in a deep breath as he heard the sound of snickering then a crash. He quickly teleported and saw the female on the ground and the other vampires upon her. With in moments he grabbed the collar of two of the vampires and flung them off of her. He did the same to the other three. He stood near the woman protective as he put the white bandages back over his face as he pulled out his sword. Normally he would have used his gun, but this would be too noisy and attract the human villagers. With his cold grey eyes he stared at the vampiric men.
"Ill give you a warning now, I suggest you leave." he said coldly and in a manner that was almost polite, his old english voice clearly heard as he was out of place. He hoped his demeaor would not provoke these young vampires to enact even more. He looked at the womans mohagany hair and knew she was not like the others. And that alone angered him, it was the genlteman side of him. He was not about to let this injustice go unchekced. He took another deep breath as his grey eyes hinted a glowing red before it faded away to his grey. He looked to the woman and a softness could be seen in his face.
"Don't worry madam, I shall keep you safe" he said as he turned around to face the foes yet again.

Zalia was shocked to see a man suddenly there, where no man had been before, throwing the vampires off of her. She only stared, watching as he stood his ground and protected her. The vampires lingered, glaring at him. But he was not like them, he was different, powerful. 'We'll be back, mutt!' one of the vampires hissed, and then they fled away through the shadows.
Zalia stared at Kenji, then slowly got to her feet. "...thank you..." If the vampires were scared of him, she wasn't sure if she should be trusting him either.

Kenji saw the woman as he saw her slowly getting to her feet. He offered a hand to her as he could tell that she was fearful of him. "Dont worry miss, you are safe. A gentleman like me would not harm you. what ever creature you are." he said with a smile under his bandages. He hoped that she wouldn't be apprehensive of him. Then again since the others were scared of him, it was only natural. He looked to her his gaze softening as he lowered his aura trying to subdue it from his aggressive state. That alone scared off the vampires. "Please miss do not be frightened. I will not harm you." he said trying to calm her down from the ordeal.

Zalia did not take the hand, standing up on her own and watching him carefully. She cringed when he spoke of 'whatever creature' she was. "...why did you save me? What are you?" She didn't understand. Why would he care about her, why would he bother himself with vampires to help some random stranger. He might notice, upon gazing at her, that she too had slightly pointed ears. And something about her just wasn't quite...normal.

kenji stood back up again as he looked to her as retained his calm collected manner as he looked to the woman."Madam I saved you because I did not see it just for five men to be attacking a woman. And as for what I am, it is not important at the moment. Are you wounded?" he asked as he grew concerened for her. He smiled again but it turned into a frown rather quickly as he understood the distrust she was feeling.
"And the reason I said Creature, i cannot tell what you are based on your scent alone. And your red hair throws me off madam." he said honestly as he looked to her his gentleman behavior showing through.

Zalia quickly tried to cover up her cuts and bruises as he asked if she was hurt. She still didn't trust him, and she was scared what he might do if he found out she was vulnerable. "...I'm nothing important. What's wrong with my hair?" She frowned a little bit, but then looked away and took a step back from him. "I'm fine, rea--" She was interrupted when her heel hit a rock during her step away, and she fell to the ground once again. Talk about being kicked when you're down. Zalia felt the tears coming. This night couldn't get any worse, but she couldn't let herself cry about it. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she got to her feet again.

Kenji saw her fall and he was about to help her to her feet when she did it on her own."Madam, please don't worry. You are hurt, i can smell the blood from your cuts. Let me take you to my place of stay. You need those wounds attended too. I give you my word, no harm shall come to you." he said as he crossed his heart signifying his oath and biding words. He just hoped this time she would grow more comfortable around him.

(Gotta get to bed after this post of mine, but I'll respond to anything tomorrow morning before I get to class)

Zalia was wary of him. But her only other option was to return to town, and the vampires were probably still lurking there, waiting for her to come back. She sighed softly in resignation. "Alright..." She let him lead her back to his 'place of stay'. "You've been a vampire for a long time, haven't you?" At least, he seemed like a vampire. She knew he wasn't quite a vampire, she had a much stronger instinctual fear for pure-bloods. But he still scared her. Just, not in the way that pure-bloods did. Kenji was not a vampire, but he was something similar, so that was close enough for now. She knew it must have been a long time, though, because of the way he spoke.

Kenji with a smile was glad that she trusted him to lead him to his place of stay. well then I live out here in the forest. My home is not to far from here. Don't worry it will be fine." he said and his sighed to his usualy melancholy state as he heard Vampire from her. He nodded at the words sadly."Yes I am what you would call a vampire. But im not like the vampires that are born or turned. But I have Been alive for a while." He said as he continued to walk and went into the forest, a small clearing was seen with his home. A simple cottage hidden in the aclove of the forest. He smiled as he opened up the door."please make your self at home."

Zalia was both comforted and unnerved by the seclusion of the little house. She stepped inside, looking around carefully. "What is your name?" She realized she had never gotten a name from him, or even given her own, really. She watched him, nervously. After what the other vampires just did to her, however (her cuts and bruises being proof), it was understandable why she was so worried.

Kenji looked over to her as he pulled out a comfortable chair from the living area. He placed it down for the woman to sit down as he went to get the first aid kit. "Kenji, my name is Kenji. Please could you take this seat so i can look at your wounds?" he said in a calm voice kind still.

Zalia sat down, watching as he went to get the medical kit. "... my name is Zalia." She said nothing more for now, watching him warily. It would probably take some time before she could trust him. He was a stranger after all. (Sorry it is short, quick post before work.)

Kenji nodded as he looked to her legs and saw the scrapes. He oepend the med kit and pulled out some disifectant. "Please to gain your name madam Zalia. Alright lets get these wounds taken care of this might sting." he said as he gently sprayed the cuts and the scrapes with the disenfectant and took a piece of gauze and wiped the excess that was dripping down. He shook his head and then looked to her."I don't know why those fiends were after you. You got scraped cut and let along you were hurt and scared. Least of all you were placed in my hands., And im sorry if I frighten you, it is something I do not like doing." he said once more as he talked through his bandages.

Zalia stayed still as he tended to her, her hands clasping the chair tightly when he sprayed the disinfectant. "I know why they were after me." She looked away. She didn't want to talk about it to him. He might turn on her as well. "It doesn't matter. They always do this. I just got lucky this time to have you around." She sighed. Lucky, or absolutely doomed.

Kenji as he saw the disenfectant dry he wraped a bandage around her scrape and her cuts. "There you go all clean. Any more cuts? " he asked as a smile could bee seen under his bandages." well then I don't like that they were after you. I am glad that I was here, they would have killed you if i was not here." he said with a sigh and looked to Zalia. "Now then can i get you anything?" he asked.

Zalia shook her head a little at his question. "No...I'm fine." She sighed as he mentioned her being killed. "They wouldn't have killed me. Not quite." She looked at him for a few long moments, debating in her mind whether she should tell his man more or not. At his final question, she hesitated. "..do you have anything...to eat?"

Kenji looked to her his grey eyes widdened at the fact those men would have done something more then just killing her. He blinked and shook of the horrid thought that crossed his mind."My my....Madam I am glad that you are safe now. Ill get you something to eat. Do you have any prefrences?" he said with a smile as he closed the med kit and looked to her his hand covered in black leather gloves. His entire body was covered and not an inch of his skin showed. He wore dark pants and a leather trench coat that was zipped up. His black medium length hair was free and covered most of his face. The little that was showing was covered with bandages.
