Logan sent the keyblade away again and picked up the knife. Putting the knife in his pants pocket Logan climbed into the trees again and headed back to the cave.
The kids returned quickly, most bragging about what they had found. Someone had rescued the last of the tomato plant that someone had been growing along a windowsill and Kate was amazed.
Most of the edible stuff she threw into the pot of boiling water, turning it into a stew, as more pots were filled with snow and set to boiling.
She kept an eye out for the two men to return, hoping they would be bringing back something worthy to eat.

Frost with two caribou slung over his shoulder began heading out of the trees towards the cave, he dropped the caribou along the wall of the cave and stretched his arms "that took longer than expected, and it's already night fall" he said looking for Logan "where has the pipsqueak gone?" he asked spinning and turning all around
Logan jumped out of a tree and into the snow in front of the cave. "Present." He said sarcastically with his head still in the snow. Quickly he got up and walked into the cave, dusting snow off of himself. "Here's your knife back." Logan held the knife out to frost.
Frost took the knife carefully and nodded to Logan "thank you lad" he said and sat down putting the knife into it's sheath "that was rough on my bad knee" he tucked his left knee moving it back and forth slowly to keep it from locking up
That night, as it was growing darker, the residents of the cave would be able to see a fire being lit on top of the hill, next to a larger rock that shielded it from the wind. Caelius had found them as he was walking along the snow-covered lands around the cave. The residents could be able to see a silhouette sitting next to the fire, and two long objects sticking out of the ground, one looking a lot like a flag, the other probably unrecognizable due to the distance and the dark, but the fire's light did reflect on it now and then.
Caelius himself was dressed in furs at the moment, as his suit of armor was currently still packed in his bag. He felt no need to take it out, since even though the leader seemed impressive, he was built around the same standards Caelius was. The mercenary had also fought larger, more monstrous challenges without his armor, this man did not fear him. IF he chose to challenge Caelius instead of talk to him, he would not refuse.
Snow was piling up and covering the unrecognizable object that stuck in the ground next to the flagpole.
(ooc; this RP is moving very fast, and with my schedule I could fall behind. could you please keep that in mind? thank you very much

Logan sat near the mouth of the cave keeping watch when he saw the flame. "Hey guys, it looks like someone else is out there. I'm gonna go get a closer look." Logan pulled his hold up so it covered his face and climbed the nearest tree, beginning to head to where the man was. When he got there, Logan sat in the tree he was in for a while, trying to understand the man a little bit before he approached. "He doesn't seem hostile... But I should be careful." The keyblade appeared in his hands again as he jumped out of the tree and walked over to where the man sat and stood on the opposite end of the fire. "Bit cold out for sitting in the open, isn't it?" Logan asked, trying to act like someone who was affected by the cold.
Caelius looked up from the fire. So one of them came. Not the leader though.
He studied the person in front of him for a while before replying. "The cold will only harm me if I let it."
The strange object was now covered in snow, but the other one was still standing open and visible for Logan to see. It was a spear with a flag strapped to the top, a red fist on a black field, the sign of a mercenary ready to be hired. No weapons were visible except for that spear and a shield next to Caelius, which was quickly accumulating snow.

Logan sat down and pretended to warm his hands. "Yeah, I guess that's true." Logan looked up at the man's spear, seeing the flag. "So you're a mercenary, huh? Do you get disrespected as much as I hear other people with the same job do?"
Shivan sat above the cave. She had been there for a while. She hadn't seen many humans in territories that Snow Elves would occupy. She had light blue skin and white hair, the only thing giving her away was her black leather armor. They didn't hunt like the snow elves either, but they couldn't hide in the snow in the almost non existent hunting clothes of her tribe. She watched the entrance a while more.
Frost watched the two outside from inside the cave, he set his spear beside him so he could quickly grab it if needed "I don't exactly trust that man, he seems to have come from out of nowhere" he said sitting and watching as Logan was talking
Caelius nodded. "Yes, but I care nothing for their respect or disrespect." he replied. He was speaking the truth, he didn't care if people liked him or not, as long as he could get his job done and get paid. "If you choose to hate me, you can hate me. If you choose to fight me, you can try." he said, not moving an inch.
Shivan sighed, the best way to find out what people were doing was to ask them. She jumped down from her perch above the cave, she walked slowly into the cave. She made quiet steps, her sword on her back and her light armor made her appear nearly harmless. Her eyes gave away that she was a Snow Elf, a reclusive species that hid in frozen strongholds in the mountains. Considered a myth to some. Her eyes were black where they should be white, the colored part of her eyes a light blue.
Frost was shocked at the appearance of this snow elf, he slowly brought himself to his feet to tower over this new person and had his spear in hand "you are?" he asked, his voice ringing through the cave as his expression came to be aggravated at the sight of this new face
Logan looked at him, completely understanding his stance on such a situation. "I'm not here to fight you. I was just curious so I thought I'd walk over and talk to you. Do you travel alone?"
Shivan slowly walked forward, her hands up by her head to show she meant no harm as she studied the spear. "Shivan." She replied. "Shivan Snow of tribe Falskaar." She said as she stopped halfway between Frost and the cave entrance.
Frost nodded "and yet you are alone, how quaint" he said latching his spear onto his back "why are you here, now isn't the time for wandering around with the superstorm roaring out to all of us" he said taking moments to continue watching outside of the cave
"Unlike humans, snow elves have... Something in their blood that keeps the cold from doing damage." Shivan replied. "Considering your lack of such, I was wondering if you need help in surviving out here. Very few people have survived out here before."
Frost nodded "we are just looking for a new place to call home, our village was wiped out by the superstorm and I fear the gods are angered with me in some way to have caused this" he said maneuvering over to the mouth of the cave watching outside "after long it will get to much to even see 3 feet in front of us"
"Well you just so happen to be in one of the larger tundra's here." Shivan replied. "You won't find a safe place anywhere near here for a long while." She replied. "I would send you help, but this is nowhere near any stronghold for Snow Elves, even then, they aren't very open to outsiders."
