Aiko was silent a moment.Thoughtful.Had he not been good so far? But alas, he nodded.
Grace walked to the double doors and opened them, revealing a large tank of fish and sea turtles. "Welcome to the aquarium part of the zoo."
He followed her over to where she was leading him.Once they entered, he now saw why she asked if he'd be good.Cause cats+fish and stuff=not good, usually. He looked around, at what he could see from here.
To the right of them was a shark tank that had a couple of different species in it. The fish tank next to it had dozens of schools of small fish in it who were enjoying swimming together. Grace looked at the tank with the smaller fish in it. "They're like a family. Wish I had some left."
He looked towards the sharks, then towards the fish beside them.He walked over to the little fishes. To get a closer look."What happened to the others?" He asked.
"They're gone." Grace said sadly. "Parts of the mansion were badly damaged by the people who killed my family."
His ears flattened once more. There he went again, bringing up another sad subject.Though it did spark a question in his mind, was that kan he failed to kill....one of those people..?
Grace put her forehead against the glass on the front of the tank. "That man... He said he was one of the men. All five of the men who did it are still alive." Grace looked at him, tears in her eyes. "I'm scared aiko. What can I do to escape?"
Aiko looked down a little. That wasent good news to hear.Aiko looked at the mistress, his ears still dropped a little. He saw the tears in his mistress's eyes.He pulled away from the tank, and took a step towards the mistress, and comfortingly hugged her."Let's not worry about how you can escape, for now let's think about how to keep you safe.." he said. Was there even a way to escape this fate?
Grace hugged him back, tears rolling down her face. "Thank you aiko. You're the best friend I've ever had."
Aiko hugged her comfortingly. He let her cry, it was best to get it out now...the fear, the tears. But he still comforted her.He smiled a tad at the best friend she ever had."Same to you"
Grace wiped the tears from her face. "I'm sorry. I've been crying a lot lately."
"Don't apologize, mistress" Aiko said."Everyone cries, more or less...it can't be helped."
Grave let go of him and looked at the sharks. "If only they could swim on land. We'd have more things to help us protect the house." She said smiling.
Aiko released the mistress from the hug, and looked at the sharks to.He smiled a small smile."I guess your right" he said. But sadly, they couldn't.
"Not to mention we'd have to train them and there's no time to do that." Grace said, somewhat acknoweledging reality.
"That would take a long time" he said.Been if he knew it probably wasent possible. But t was nice to think it though..
"Moving on!" Grace grabbed him by the hand again and walked him into a dark room filled with fish that lived in the deepest depths of the ocean. "If you're scared I can keep holding your hand." She told him.
Aiko followed right behind Grace, and into the dark room that had some more fish in it.He looked around a little, but looked back at the mistress, and said "I'm not scared" he said, but he didnt let go of her hand, and be mean as if to say i dont need you holding my hand. After all...it was just aquatic stuff...right?
Grace lead him to the center, which had about twelve jellyfish in a tank. They all were glowing a different color, some red, some blue. "Isn't it cool?"
