He nodded, "thank you" he said.Seeing she didn't have to let him borrow her fathers hat, infact, she didn't even have to let him borrow the shirt on his back.He looked up and saw the playground, but said nothing as the mistress turned away from it and went the opposite away.He looked at her, hearing what she said.
Grace turned back around and looked at aiko. "You coming aiko?" She called to him.
He looked at the mistress, "yes mistress" he said and turned and followed.
Grace sighed. "I'm sorry. Its just that that playground brings back memories." She explained.
Aiko shook his head, "its okay" he said.He understood, even if he didn't know what memories it held, he knew she didn't want to go there.So he didn't ether.
"Anyway, lets keep moving." Grace moved in the direction they came, but didn't head back to the house. Instead she walked across the pathway that lead through the house and walked along a different path, headed nowhere.
Aiko followed after her, and walked at her side, away from the playground. He was curious what happened there, aw man, the curiosity of the household was spreading! He looked up to see where she was headed, it seemed nowhere specific.
Grace followed the path through some apple trees, picked an apple, and put it in her pocket for later. "You can grab one too aiko."
Aiko followed, looking around.Looking at all the apples on apple trees.He watched the mistress pick her an apple, and when she said he could pick one, he did.
"We'll wash them off when we get inside so we can eat them." Grace continued to walk along the path until she found a small stream that floated on the outskirts of the mansion that blocked the pathway. "There are stones to step on. I'm taking this way." Grace stepped on the large stones and reached the other side with only a little trouble. "Your turn aiko."
Aiko looked at his apple, and nodded.He followed her To the stream, with a few stones to step on to get across.He watched as the mistress made her away across.When it was his turn, his eyes made there way to the water.He took a quiet deep breath, and made his way across, and made his way to her.
"You did it!" Grace hugged him tightly and giggled. "I thought you wouldn't want to because you don't like water."
"I don't.." he said."Mainly I don't like it when it touches me.." he said through the tight hug.He could stand it if it didn't touch him.
"Well the good thing is that you're across. now lets go!" Grace let go of him and began to walk in the lead again, still not heading anywhere particular.
"Okay!" He said and followed her deeper, and farther to who knows where.Nowhere in specific still..
After a while the two reached a large fence. "Oh yeah, this is the fence that separates the main grounds from the zoo." Grace turned to her right and saw a large forest. "And I'm sure we don't want to go into there, right?"
Once they arrived at the fence, he looked up at it.So this seperated the zoo from the main land.He then looked at the large forest."The forest sounds cool...." he said looking at it.After all, they had hours to waste.
"Okay. Just stay close to me okay?" Grace looked up at him with the pleading eyes of a child.
He looked down at her, "though we don't have to go though.." he said, proposing at least a second option.
"Well I didn't want you to be disappointed." Grace said. She didn't like when she disappointed others so if he wanted to go into the forest she'd be fine with it as long as they stayed together.
