When Slappy is bitten by the dragon, Olaf turns to him. "That wasn't very polite Mr. Dragon. My friend is a lot smaller than you. Now, I'm going to have to hurt you which I'd rather not do."

Olaf falls just a little short on his attack as the dragon blocks his 2-handed ax with a talon. Unfortunately, the ogre's speech gave the dragon time to counter.

Realizing he was in danger and there was little chance of him harming the dragon, Slappy fell back. He didn't leave the room, but tried to get out of striking distance. He stood near the door holding the lantern as high as he could so the rest of the party could see, hoping the others could finish the dragon quickly.
