Edit: Group here

There was some support for a RPR Writing Challenge in this thread. I'm just reaching out to see how many people would be interested in a challenge like this in a RPR group.

1) A group will be created. In the group, people can encourage each other, ask for advice (about topics they don't know about, about how to improve plot points they're stuck on, etc) and report on their progress. You can also (if you wish) share segments of your writing.
2) I think, unlike NanoWrimo, each user will set their own goal. People kind of did that anyway, even though the official challenge was 50k words. People have different real-life situations and goals for their own writing, so people will be able to customise their own challenges to suit their needs.
3) Write Write Write during the month. Which month? November is the 'classic' month, but this is something I would actually appreciate feedback on.
4) No AI writing. You will be booted from the group.
5) At the end of the month, there will be 'Participant' and 'Winner' badges which people can share on their profiles. Again, like NanoWrimo which badge you grab will be done on the honour system. If you want to lie and say you wrote more than you did... That's pretty sad. But I have no ability to fact check whether you did or didn't.

Anyway. Interest? Feedback? Ideas?
Interest!
I’m in!
Sign me up. I will definitely not neglect my duties. Trust.
I'd absolutely love to join!
I'm interested. May I join?
Me! I'm interested! Might get me off my butt and get to writing my planned fanfic.
I think you laid out a good foundation, and the badges could be interesting!
A monthly framework is a good. Could do any month I suppose, but November might attract more attention since it is the 'classic' month?
Always interested in a writing group of any kind. Happy to offer my brain for more ideas and admin stuff as well. 💚
Oh I would definitely not reach my goal, but this could be fun! I also have fanfiction around I'm never writing, but maybe talking about it would help me do that ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄ Count me in!

Also throwing in a vote for November for familiarity's sake, although I think October could also be fun. Less busy due to Outside Influences than November for me, at least. Although that is very soon, if the goal is to get this off the ground this year!
So you’d have to write 50000 words in a month? But you’re free to ask help from anyone?
That’s fair, I think…
Even if I’m pretty sure not to reach that goal, any month, I take the risk. You can count me in too.

This challenge is based on a challenge called NanoWrimo (NanoWrimo is short for National Novel Writing Month). NanoWrimo closed down last year. In the original challenge, people had a goal of 50,000 words, but for many people that's unrealistic or simply not desirable. So for this version of the event, participants can choose any goal they please. And even if you don't reach your goal, it's no big deal. Hopefully you had fun and got lots of writing done anyway!

I've gone ahead and made a group :)

Finer details for rules / how the group functions may still change but the basics are there.
Ok I see, yet I’ll try to get to one specific goal.
I’m not that much into writing community to know the NanoWrimo, thanks.

People!! That sounds 🤩 come on, all those that always wanted to write, get on board, get your pencil, paper and brainstorm on whatever you want to write!!
And most important:

Have fun!
I'm in!
If you couldn't tell by the post, I have also joined, and I'm very excited for another support group for writing. :)
i am in!! good luck everyone!
Oooo I love this!
Sounds fun. I've had an idea for a while, I should get on to paper.
