OOC: Hello everyone! Sorry for being late to the party!
Maxwell’s got a knack for crafting sweet treats and will make your character a custom candy that fits their theme — drawn by yours truly 🍬
For example: an angel who loves hard candy might get divine lemon drops! Each candy will be pixel art made by me, so please be patient while they’re “brewing.”
Beware: you might get tricked with candy that’s the opposite of your character — like “berry demon drops”! (A wheel will decide if you get a trick or treat!)
Outside a stone cabin deep in the woods lay a lantern gently swinging in the wind. It was cloudy, yet the air was not too chilly. However, the stone cabin was carefully and lovingly decorated for the holidays as pumpkins with silly faces or simple pictures of animals were strewn about the lawn and flowers sporting soft and vibrant yellows, oranges, greens, and purples were potted and also strewn about with care. Lanterns were placed around flowers, but were enchanted to not catch anything on fire by accident. But in the front of the candy booth was a neat wooden stall with a sign on front:
'Candy!
Guess costume for a prize!'
Nearby, several tables containing various items used to make candy. Behind the stall was a rather bulky rabbit guy with long black bunny ears and glasses wearing a navy blue jumpsuit with the zipper hanging down a little revealing a grey t-shirt underneath and a strange logo on the side, but he probably quickly put something together realizing he put so much effort into decorations he forgot to decorate himself! He made sure to make lots of signs guiding people to his home through a rather... dark and haunted looking forest. Hopefully, the brightly colored signs pointing toward Maxwell’s humble cabin — and the promise of special treats — hopefully made the trail a little more inviting. Maxwell wondered if he went a little overboard with the signs, but surely there wasn't a problem with being a little too welcoming, right?
Well... at least he wasn't running the whole stand by himself, as some little void bunnies were hopping around making sure all the ingredients were stocked. This way Maxwell could keep his company entertained while they waited for their special treat. He hoped they wouldn't get up to mischief with the treats when he wasn't watching them...

A doe was straying through her beloved forest, it was Halloween season again and spooky and scary things spread through the woods, if it were disguised people or fancy decorations left by others.
Lizbeth doesn’t mind all those, the forest was living, even if it were supposed to be dead and scary things.
But particular signs caught her attention, brightly colored signs, with inscriptions. The deer decides to follow them. A person making such colorful nicely arranged signs, can’t be bad.
The path leads to a marvelously arranged cabin, Halloween decorations all over. But the most pleasant for Lizbeth are all the colorful flowers, so inviting to pick some.
Lizbeth has no disguise, but she made herself a Venitian Carnival mask, specially made for her muzzle, electric blue and some glitter, resembling a butterfly.
She bites her under lip almost not daring to knock, even if she had done it before, on a dollhouse or a sorceress’ tent.
Ok, mask in place, hand on the door, soft and hesitating knocks can be heard form inside, would anyone open: “oh, yes… trick or treat?”

Maxwell jumped at the door knock. He realized he’d forgotten to open it to make the booth more inviting! How else would anyone find their way in? He opened the door and smiled at his first guest invitingly. "Hello, hello, why don't you come in?" He said, gesturing. His home was set up to look more like a candy shop mixed in with a candy lab as in the middle was his table. He will admit- he was a little surprised his first guest was a deer! But honestly it was a bit fitting. A deer and a rabbit were in essence common forest dwellers.
"Leave the door open please, no need to close it." He spoke, as little void bunnies clattered about, like Santa’s elves on Christmas morning. "Nice mask," He added, before smiling as he grabbed a bowl and handed it to a little void bunny. Candy on Halloween didn't feel quite right without a bowl accompanying it!
"You don't have any allergies do you? Do you have something in particular you're interested in?" He smiled, as the voids bunnies hopped around studying the doe and noting everything about her from her demeanor and costume before bouncing off to get to work.
"They'll come in with your treat soon, don't worry. We're hosting a game where if you try to guess what my costume is you can win a prize, but it's not mandatory. Would you like to take a guess before your candy is ready?" He said, before smiling down at the doe. "I see we both like not going over the top with costumes?" He added, as he was just wearing a simple navy-blue jumpsuit slightly zipped down showing off an every-day grey t-shirt. The only peculiar thing about his costume was the symbol on his chest, and how it almost looked like a divers suit.
The signs along the way had been adorable with bright colored nailed into the cabin. Her eyes wandered again and then catching sight of a small stall near the front of the cabin. A sign hung across the front and Chie leaned forward to read:
Candy! Guess costume for a prize!
“Whoa…” she breathed, “Now this is what I call atmosphere!” Chie exclaimed proudly, putting her hands on her hips and drinking it all in. Halloween vibes? Check. Snacks? Double check. A guessing game with prizes? Oh, this was so her kind of night. The forest path behind her was quiet now. The cool wind carrying the scent of wood smoke, pumpkin, and… was that caramel? Oh yeah, definitely caramel. Her stomach gave an eager little growl.
“Heh-oh, this is gonna be good!” she said while cracking her knuckles dramatically before marching toward it. Behind the stall stood a big fluffy bunny guy with long black ears. His fur, was it fur? Looked ridiculously soft and the glasses perched on his nose. His navy-blue jumpsuit looked like something a mechanic would wear and the zipper hanging halfway down to reveal a gray t-shirt underneath. The logo on his sleeve looked familiar somehow, but Chie couldn’t quite place it. There was already someone else, or rather something else visited the house earlier than her. It was a deer!
She waved cheerfully, her voice bright and full of her usual energy. “Hey there, Mr. Bunboss! This place is awesome!”
Her gaze flicked back to the sign and a playful grin spread across her face. Her tone shifted from soft to mischievous, her brown eyes gleaming with that familiar spark of competitive energy. “Anyway,” she said, straightening up and crossing her arms, “should I try to guess your costume so I can get the candy?”
Okay, Chie, think. He’s a bunny… maybe that’s too obvious. Could be a magician’s assistant? Or like, a mascot? Oh! What if he’s supposed to be a character from one of those weird multiverse anime shows? Ugh, there’s no way to tell!
She scrunched her nose in mock concentration, glancing him up and down. No cape. No hat. Just the jumpsuit and the logo thing. Huh. Scratch that, let’s hear what the deer gotta say first before she made her guess!

Lizbeth looks astonished as a rabbit, of pure black fur in a blue overall and grey shirt, opens the door. The sign says something, but Lizbeth can’t decipher, in fact none of the signs…Lizbeth can’t read.
The doe enters the cabin and, as wished, leaves the door open for next visitor, an energetic woman was to be noticed coming up the decorated path.
Lizbeth giggles softly with all the bunnies around her looking and inspecting this deer from every angle, that wagging deer tail too.
Suddenly they all disappear as on command.
“ No, no allergy, just notice that I’m a deer and do not eat anything with meat. If you ask that way, I….” she chuckles softly and with a slight shrug, “I do like chocolate, as dark as possible.” The deer grins, as this is her little guilty pleasure.
“No, we’re not really disguised, I have my usual linen outfit, nothing more, but I was so mesmerized when someone showed me Venetian Carnival, so I made me this little mask.”
Lizbeth isn’t aware that she has to guess his costume, even if she has seen that kind of overall somewhere.
It’s when the other guest talks about guessing the disguise that it hits her. She remembers Max talking about some weird story about a man in a mechanical overall and a knife, spreading terror. Max wanted to disguise like that but the overall was too small for his chest, so they made that deer antler headband.
“Oh, is it to guess your disguise? I didn’t realize. But Max told me some, wait…”, she scratches the back of her head, “.. it was, it was something Mike, no, Micheal something alike, no? I’m sorry I can’t remember.”
She friendly talks to Chie, “Hi, maybe you know some Michael in a blue mechanical jumpsuit. ”

@ Lizbeth & Chie
Maxwell nodded when the doe stated her preference and allergies. He chuckled, waving a hand. "I hope they don't add any meat... But i'm with you on the 'no meat'." He spoke, before his ears flickered seeing the new guest come in. He couldn't help but cross his arms and chuckle at the name she used to address him. "Bunboss?" He mused, shaking his head. That was a new one- but he turned his attention back to the doe as she tried to guess his costume.
"Ahhh... Michael Myers, I believe. My mother loves those movies. But I’m not him this year—though let me guess, it was the jumpsuit and my height? Michael doesn't have a symbol on his jumpsuit anyways." He asked. The guesses were good, but he decided to give a hint. "I'm not a slasher, I'm not even a character. I dressed up as if I came from this place. You know, how some people sometimes dress up as prisoners? This isn't my full costume, I had a diving mask and a crystal holding chamber attached to an oxygen tank. I found the oxygen tank on a trail which was what inspired the costume, but ah- it's hard wearing those and moving around to keep up with the candy making. It's from a game." He said. But then his head lifted when a bunny hopped into the room holding a bowl.
The bunny approached Lizbeth and held out the bowl with a prideful grin.
"Ah- they're fast workers aren't they? Those big ears hear everything. I hope you like it, if you wish to continue making guesses while you enjoy it you're welcomed to stay." Maxwell joked lightly, watching as the bunnies now circled around Chie. They seemed to be drawn by her energetic and rather boisterous nature as Maxwell gave the young woman a smile. "Ah- you don't need to guess my costume to get candy, they'll make you up something real fast. The prize isn't candy though..." He said, but didn't want to ruin the surprise and mystery around the "grand prize".
"Now, would you like some candy too? You have quite the nice personality. What's your costume supposed to be?"

Let's see what they made Lizbeth!

Maxwell tilts his head at the candy they made just for Lizbeth with a smile. "A dark forest whisper bar... they seemed to overhear that you love dark chocolate, looks like they infused it with lavender ganache and topped it with some lavender syrup. A gentle and calming treat for a gentle and calming soul."

The deer mentioned some guy named Michael something-or-other. Chie blinked hard. She had zero clue what that meant. Her mind raced through all the names she knew but nothing clicked. "Michael-who?" she blurted out. Wait, no. She scratched her head again. Truth was, she didn't know a single Michael in her whole life. Not from school nor from work. Not even from those random neighborhood folks.
The big rabbit went on to explain and gave a quirky clue with a prisoner’s costume? She listened close. But nope. Still drew a blank. And had a diving mask and a crystal holding chamber attached to an oxygen tank? Who was this mystery guy? Her brain spun like a top, but no memories surfaced. Halloween nights could get weird like that.
Just then, the talk shifted to candy. "Yes, of course!" Chie exclaimed. "Who doesn't want a candy at Halloween?" Her eyes sparkled like stars. She wore her pumpkin-themed Halloween dress that night. The fabric swayed gently in the cool breeze.

"My costume is... well, duh! It's a pumpkin. Halloween pumpkin!" She laughed, spinning a little to show it off. The outfit mixed cute vibes with a bold edge. Bright orange fabric hugged the top with black stripes running down the bodice like classic pumpkin ridges. The skirt flared out wide, shaped just right to mimic a plump pumpkin. It made her pop in the crowd of trick-or-treaters. A matching black choker sat snug around her neck, tied off with a tiny bow that added a sweet touch. Sleeves puffed up at the shoulders for that playful look. And down below? Black combat boots, tough and ready. Chie Satonaka wouldn't dream of stepping out without shoes made for a quick kick if needed. She ran a hand through her hair, scratching the back of her head in that casual way she did when things got fun.
Her gaze snapped to the small bunny. It had hopped in carrying a big bowl brimming with treats. Colors gleamed under the lights. "Whoa-hoh, look at that!" she said with her voice full of awe. She crouched down slow. Her pumpkin skirt puffed out around her like a little orange cloud. It brushed the ground soft. "Hey there, little buddy!" She reached out a hand. "You makin' all this candy yourselves? I'm seriously impressed!"

The forest path looked like something out of a fairy tale, glowing lanterns, pumpkin faces smiling in the dark, and the faint hum of laughter somewhere ahead. Charlie followed the trail of colorful signs, one hand tucked into her jacket pocket, the other holding a takeaway cup of cider that had long since gone lukewarm. The smell of sugar and spice grew stronger with each step.
When the cabin came into view, she couldn’t help the grin that tugged at her lips. “Now this,” she murmured, “is the kind of haunted forest I could get used to.”
The flicker of purple and gold lights played over her face as she stepped up to the candy booth. A tall figure with long black ears and glasses stood behind the stall, surrounded by what looked like a dozen tiny, shadowy rabbits scurrying to and fro. Charlie blinked, half laughing. “Okay, I’ve painted a lot of things, but I’ve never seen this before. Please tell me they’re unionized.”
One of the void bunnies hopped close, its little nose twitching. She crouched slightly, resting her elbows on her knees to meet its gaze. “Hey there, sweet thing. You must be the real brains of the operation.”
Her attention shifted back to Maxwell, eyes sparkling with good humor. “You’ve got quite the setup here, Bunboss,” she said, echoing the other visitor with a teasing smile. “Do I tell you my favorite candy, or do we let fate decide what kind of trouble I get into tonight?”
She straightened, leaning one hip against the booth’s counter. “And before we talk sugar,” she added, gesturing toward his simple navy jumpsuit, “I have to know, what’s the story behind the look? Because I’m sensing ‘handsome candy scientist’ energy, and I need to know if that’s an official title.”
The laughter in her voice was warm, easy, and as bright as the lanterns.

Lizbeth is puzzled, she tilts her head sideways, unable to say what kind of disguise should it be. A game? Lizbeth knows no game, the only she knows are word games, if ever someone plays with her.
Even the girl with a dress that looks like a pumpkin seems to have no clue.
But for sure, what Lizbeth is absolutely sure of, that candy made extra only for her makes her absolutely happy. The moment she sees, her eyes glitter like that of a fawn, the corners of her mouth seem like wanting to reach her ears. Her nostrils flare open to get the last bit of that wonderful mix of lavender and chocolate. Who would have thought of that, such a distinct mix of scents and tastes. That doe has to deliver a superdeer effort not to just devour tha candy with only one bite.
“This is the most unfair candy bar existing, it is impossible to resist. You can tell them, they not only work fast, but very very good. I’m so grateful that there is only one, I would eat myself sick.”
Lizbeth shrugs with a chuckle holding that candy to admire it, her mask dangling at her, as she held the stick between arm and chest.
Her mouth watering, that little rose tongue showing at the black tip of her muzzle….
-Wait Lizbeth, you can’t just gulp that down like a vulgar piece of fruit, savor… and give one of your cookies as you don’t know the guess-
That’s right, the doe made her cookies and has one or the other left in her pouch.
She almost rudely interrupts the conversation between the rabbit and the girl, still decently waits for a moment.
“I’m sorry, I can’t guess your disguise, but I have something for you, I made these cookies.”
She hands a chocolate chunk cookie to the rabbit, made of buckwheat flour, peanut almond mash, cane sugar and vegetable milk. A surprise is given with an insert made of cranberry, cherry and strawberry juice, thickened with powdered sugar and a hint of charcoal.

Maxwell watched as Chie petted the void bunny carrying the candy bowl. It let out a strange little squeak, eyes bright with joy—then hopped away before she could sneak in another pat. Maxwell chuckled softly. “They make it all themselves. There’s about a dozen of them. They saw Willy Wonka once, and ever since, they’ve been obsessed with candy-making. Luckily, Halloween rolled around before they flooded the kitchen with candy.” His grin widened. “They seem especially fond of your costume—it’s pretty cute, I have to admit.”
His ears flicked at the sound of someone new entering. Before he could greet them, one of the bunnies bounced forward proudly, holding up a bowl toward Chie. “Oh—looks like your order’s done already,” he said with a laugh.
The bunny that had carried Chie’s candy gave her leg a quick nuzzle before turning its bright gaze toward the new guest. Not one to miss out on attention, it hopped over eagerly to Charlie, gently shoving its companions aside for a better spot. Maxwell sighed good-naturedly and patted their heads. “Now, now. You’ll all get plenty of pets tonight, no doubt. No pushing.” He scooped up the rowdy one, its squeaks muffled as it squirmed in his arms. Then his gaze lifted toward Charlie, amusement flickering in his eyes. “They sure are unionized in spirit,” he teased. “They sure are eating up all the attention and leftover candy.” As he set the bunny down, the rest of them swarmed curiously around Charlie. Before he could say a word, her teasing comment about his outfit stopped him cold. A faint blush rose to his cheeks, and he scratched the back of his neck with a sheepish laugh as his ears bent a little. “Is that so? Guess I didn’t know candy scientists wore jumpsuits,” he said, chuckling low.
His ears perked again at Lizbeth’s soft voice. Her praise brought a hint of pride to his expression. “I’m glad you liked it. The little guys have been at it for weeks. They’re getting pretty damn good. I’m surprised I haven’t put on a few pounds myself,” he joked, eyes glinting with humor. When she apologized, he waved a hand lightly. “No need to. I probably should’ve picked something less niche, but the rabbits love that game. Besides…” He gave a small shrug, smiling wryly. “Rumor has it the real facility exists somewhere out there... But that’s just a rumor after all.” However, his ears perked up when he was handed a sweet treat of his own, and an almost childlike expression crossed his face. “Cookies? You didn’t have to,” he said, though his voice carried clear delight. Accepting it carefully, he took a bite... and his eyes lit up at once. “It’s delicious,” he said warmly. “It’s always nice getting a treat from a fellow baker.” But he didn't finish as a little void bunny was staring up at him with those begging eyes. Sighing, he knelt down and let it snatch it right from his hand with a chuckle, wiping the powdery sugar from his lips. "They seem to like it too, Lizbeth. Maybe you should open up a bakery stall next Halloween."
Turning back toward Charlie, he found her surrounded by curious bunnies. When they saw his attention changed back to Charlie, they all scattered, squeaking like mischievous children. He chuckled quietly. He looked down at Charlie and cleared his throat, regaining his composure. “Now then,” he said, tone soft but teasing, “does someone as sweet as you want a treat to match?”

Let's see what they made Chie Satonaka!

Maxwell’s smile never faded as he admired the candy the bunnies had made for her. “Oh, isn’t that cute? Looks like they’ve been practicing their faces again,” he mused. “They’re calling this one the Pumpkin Roundhouse Pop. They must’ve picked up on your costume—and that spark in your step. It’s a lollipop dusted with cinnamon sugar for that extra kick, fitting for someone with your fiery spirit. Inside’s a mix of pumpkin and citrus caramel taffy—bold, sweet, and just a little unexpected.”

Charlie laughed, a bright sound that softened in the warm light of the lanterns. “That was definitely not a denial. Candy scientist, huh? I knew I was onto something.” Her eyes sparkled as she watched the bunnies scatter at his glance, the whole scene too endearing not to smile at. “I don’t know, though… they look more like the real masterminds. You might just be the charming face of the operation.”
When he called her sweet, her grin curved into something softer, teasing but edged with warmth. “Careful,” she said, lowering her voice conspiratorially, “flattery like that will get you requests for second helpings.”
She brushed a strand of hair from her cheek, pretending to weigh her options. “Let’s see… I think I’ll trust your judgment, Maxwell. Surprise me.” Her tone lingered on his name just long enough to make it clear she liked the sound of it.
“Something that suits me, you said?” she added, resting her elbow on the counter. “That sounds dangerous. But I seem to be drawn to dangerous.”
She leaned in slightly, eyes glinting in the soft purple glow. “So tell me, candy scientist, what does a girl like me inspire?”

“Oh-wah!” Chie yelped a little as the tiny bunny suddenly hopped away. “Aw maaan… I wanted to pet ‘em more!” she whined as she watched the little fluffball bounce off toward someone else. Her pout didn’t last long though because when she spotted what the void rabbits were giving to the deer, her eyes practically sparkled.
“No way! Look at that! That’s amazing!” she gasped while clapping her hands together like a kid at a festival. The craftsmanship alone made her grin from ear to ear. Those little rabbits were working harder than any candy chef she’d ever seen.
When the big bunny guy mentioned Willy Wonka though, Chie’s face twisted into an adorably confused expression. Willy… Wolly… wait-who’s that again? Some kinda candy master? She had no idea. Whoever that was, those little rabbits chose some kinda cool person as an inspiration. She leaned a bit to peek at the cookie Lizbeth was bringing. That smells so good! Chie flashed an approving nod with her bright green eyes shining with genuine delight. And then the void rabbits came hopping back carrying something just for her. Chie gasped dramatically as they held out a candy shaped like a perfect little pumpkin. It was round and glossy, with a faint shimmer over its caramel-orange surface.
“Ohhh my goooosh…” she squealed. “This is the cutest candy I’ve ever seen!” Her voice practically sang with joy as she crouched down to get a closer look. “You guys made this? For me? Aw, you’re the best!”
As the little bunnies nuzzled her leg affectionately, Chie couldn’t stop herself from giggling. “Hehehe...hey, that tickles!” she said. Her grin softened a bit as she admired the candy again. It looked almost too cute to eat! Oh, the dilemma. Her nose picked up the faint scent of cinnamon and caramel, and her stomach gave a tiny rumble in betrayal. “I wanted to keep it forever, but it smells so good!” She held it up, pretending to weigh the decision in her hand. “Treasure it or eat it… treasure it or eat it…”
Then with a sheepish laugh, she shrugged. “Eh-guess it wouldn’t hurt to take one bite, right?”
Chie popped the pumpkin pop into her mouth, her eyes going wide almost instantly. “Mmmph...oh, whoa!” she exclaimed around the candy, the rich caramel sweetness bursting with just the right kick of warm cinnamon. She nearly did a little happy dance on the spot. “This is so good! You guys outdid yourselves! If every Halloween was like this, I’d never stop celebrating. Okay… Okay... now, what to guess… hmm... Do you have any idea what is his costume?” she asked Charlie.

@ Charlie & Chie
Maxwell chuckled at Charlie's playful comment, nodding in agreement. "They are little masterminds, alright. But someone had to teach them the difference between salt and sugar and how to use an oven... But they're fast learners. It’s a shame they don’t know how to talk, they’d be able to run a candy business all by themselves if they could." He remarked, but he looked down at the void bunny who handed Chie her treat. "A surprise you say? Well, if there’s anything these little guys are true experts in, it’s surprises…" He remarked, watching as the little void bunny got a mischievous glint in its eyes before hopping over some decorations that separated the guest area from the kitchen.
But before he could say another word, it quickly came back with an excited expression towards Charlie, her specialized treat inside.
The bunny that handed Charlie her treat had a mix of dark purple and pink coating its fur. Maxwell chuckled as he gently picked it up and wiped the sticky bits of sugar from it. "Guess they struggled trying to keep the candy in separate pieces..." He then set it back down, and the bunny gave a quick joyful binky before hopping away, which earned a fond smile from him. "They do work really hard. I'm more of a baker myself, but I suppose the two do overlap. You should've been here to see their first batch of candy..." He shook his head implying that it most likely went down horrendously, but the smile made him look more like a proud father than anything.
But now regarding Chie, he seemed very prideful and happy seeing her reaction to the lollipop. The rabbits that started to creep into the guest room from the kitchen all looked very proud of themselves as they seemed more interested in seeing how the guests enjoyed their candy then seeking out pets this time. But well— that could easily change. "They can make you a replica if you like it so much and want to keep it somewhere," He offered, "Their void magic can keep anything from spoiling. It's pretty handy if you have a garden and pantry as big as mine." He looked down at the plump little void bunnies that perched by his leg, and the chunkiest one looked back up at him with a happy expression and a little wag of it's tail.
"I'm so glad it tastes good and you like it," He remarked towards Chie with pride all over his face. The little guys also now seemed happy now that their ego was thoroughly stroked. "As for costumes... I can probably drop a hint if you'd like. But only one. Ask me anything about my costume and I'll answer it. Since there's two of you I wouldn't mind if each of you got a question."
ooc: tysm! and yes you can! ^^ I purposefully made a smaller and separate image in case anyone wants to display it anywhere, they are little treats/gifts after all

Let's see what they made Charlie Summers-Adams

"Well, that is indeed a surprise..." Maxwell remarked, looking at the pouch full of pop rocks. "They're calling this one 'Velvet Bite Rock Pops'", It’s got a mix of sour grape and cranberry—sharp enough to make you wince, but smooth enough to keep you eating the whole thing. A little treat for someone who's already sweet enough." He paused, a grin tugging at his lips. “Looks like someone might be a little rebel... They must have added that hot pink heart just to contrast the darker shades—guess they figured a bold person deserved a bold color. Maybe it’s their way of saying you stand out. Or maybe…” he mused, “you’ve always had a bit of bite underneath that sweet surface.”

Charlie grinned, crouching slightly as the candy was placed in her hand. The shimmer caught the light, rippling like starlight across sugar. “Well, look at that,” she said, her tone a mix of awe and delight. “You really outdid yourselves this time, didn’t you?”
She held the candy up between two fingers, letting it gleam. “It’s beautiful,” she murmured, then laughed softly. “Almost too pretty to eat… but I’ve made that mistake before. Art doesn’t taste like this.”
When Chie’s question came, Charlie tilted her head, eyes dancing with mischief. “Hmm, I don’t know,” she said thoughtfully, glancing toward Maxwell. “Could be a magician of some sort, or maybe a scientist who took a wrong turn and discovered how to make sugar sentient.” She smirked, taking a teasing bite of her own candy. “Whatever the answer is, I’m not sure I trust those bunnies to keep the secret. They look like they’d sell you out for another bag of sugar.”
Her gaze softened as she looked back at the group, Chie’s bright energy, Lizbeth’s gentle wonder, and Maxwell’s proud amusement all reflected in her expression. “I think I like this little candy lab of yours,” she said, her tone warm. “It’s got heart. And maybe a few calories too many.”
Charlie leaned an elbow against the counter, her smile returning. “Alright, you said one hint, didn’t you? Let’s see… Does your costume come from a world above the waves or below them?”

It wasn't candy that Zaye was here for. The search-and-rescue pilot was looking for a lost hiker when he'd spotted movement in the ominously dark woods. He'd tried to contact dispatch with the coordinates, but the signal was jammed for some reason. He could fly back to the base, but he was almost certain he'd seen someone down there, so he found a clearing to land in and headed on foot in the direction.
Signs.
There were...so many signs. And if he saw them, then surely the lost hiker had too and was following them to relative safety. He took off after them, only to come upon a black-eared bunny person. "Oh. Uh. You're not lost, are you?"

Delighted by her candy received, nobody could wipe out the smile on that doe's face. Only the end of that chocolate bar.
More people arrive, which is very nice for that very friendly bunny host, a bit less for this shy deer. But before she leaves, she rummages all the cookies out of her pouch and pockets (yes, she put cookies anywhere to carry them along), hocks down in the middle of the room, that little deer tail frantically wagging behind her.
Any of those little bunnies hopping left and right, from one guest to the other, back and forth into their laboratory, is proposed a cookie. Quickly all disappear and Lizbeth delightfully giggles getting nudged and bumped by those void bunnies.
A slightly bit sad, but still a large smile on her lips, Lizbeth shyly waves everyone goodbye and leaves the places, a little "Huh" on her lips as one of those bunnies one last time purposely innocent bumps into her legs.

Always late to the party. Charlie had gotten used to him always having to do his one more thing before he could tear himself away. It was a reason for his tardiness in joining her in the fall festivities. When he was finally in a place he could pull himself away from, he went on the search for his fiancé. Lucky for him, he could track her scent across continents. He tracked her to a rather odd place. It wasn’t the usual kind of place Charlie would go. But, he assumed, it was the nature of the holiday to wander off the beaten path and explore a little.
Gandrell wasn’t impressed by hanging lanterns or outlandish decorations – those were to be expected. Once upon a time, he had lived his life by the light of lanterns for hundreds of years, so forgive him for his unimpressed expression as he found his way to the stone cabin to find his beloved. He entered the cabin, and his eyes instantly fell upon Charlie. He made his way over to her and wrapped his arms around her middle. “Someone found something sweet.” He might have been referring to himself or to the treat she had been given. He sniffed the ‘Velvet Bite Rock Pops’ and shook his head a little. He buried his head in her neck and whispered, “I am going to get a cavity from all the sugar in this place.”
Gandrell, being what he was, could not consume anything in this shop. He could look at it, possibly admire it, sniff it in an attempt to deconstruct the ingredients and methods used to create the eatable thing, but eat it…never. He didn’t know anyone else in the room, but customer service was at his core. He also wasn’t daft enough to believe that the room would bow to him just because he entered it – he read rooms very well. What he had caught of Charlie’s voice before he had entered was her participating in a guessing game of some kind.
Brushing his pale lips across her cheek he asked in a secretive way, “What are we guessing here?” It was his way of trying to join in on the fun without interrupting it.

@ Gandrell
Charlie had felt him before she saw him. The air shifted, the faint stir of something familiar brushing against her awareness like the first warmth after winter. When his arms slipped around her waist, she didn’t smiled, soft and knowing, as though she’d been waiting for that exact moment.
“Well, look who decided to join the living,” she teased lightly, leaning back against him. “You took long enough. I was starting to think the night might end before you got your one last thing done.”
Her laughter caught in her throat when he buried his face in her neck. “Mmm, you’re not wrong about the sugar,” she murmured, eyes glinting with amusement. “I think I’ve inhaled enough sweetness to rot my halo, if I had one.” She turned her head slightly, brushing her temple against his in quiet affection.
When he asked his question, her grin deepened. “We’re guessing our host’s costume,” she whispered conspiratorially. “Apparently, we get one question for a hint. I already asked if it came from a world above the waves or below them.” Her voice softened, playful and tender all at once. “You might as well lend that clever mind of yours to the cause. The bunnies seem like they’re guarding state secrets.”
Her hand drifted to his, giving it a gentle squeeze before nodding toward Maxwell and the group nearby. “Come on, Mr. Late-to-the-Party. You’re just in time to make an impression.”

A magician or a scientist? Chie weighing the option. Eyes squinted playfully at the tall bunny guy and her expression was deep in thoughts.
“Okay, okay…” she muttered. “Let’s think this through. Big rabbit guy, has a logo on his jumpsuit, talks about oxygen tanks and crystal chambers?” She furrowed her brow. “That sounds science-y, but then again…he’s got these little fluffball minions hopping around makin’ candy like they’re using magic! Gah! what are you supposed to be, dude? I carrot fathom this!”
She glanced down at the void bunnies again. They were bouncing happily between trays of caramel and cauldrons of chocolate supposed be chefs. Each of their movement was coordinated, purposely they shared one brain…? Magic? Telepathy? Void science? Whatever it was, it ain’t definitely normal.
Chie crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks. “There’s no way you’re just a regular scientist,” she murmured. “Scientists don’t usually have a whole squad of… adorable… void… bunnies.” Still, his explanation about the oxygen tank and crystal chamber from some game replayed in her head. A game… a game… Chie pressed a finger to her chin and frowned deeply. “Man, why does that sound so familiar? Ugh, come on brain, work with me here!”
She dug deep into her mental gaming catalog which, honestly, wasn’t that big. Fighting games were her jam. If it didn’t involve kicking, punching, or at least some kind of flying knee, she probably hadn’t touched it.
But wait, another thought came and she was blinking in realization. “Wait… unless…” Her face twisted into a mix of awe and panic. “He’s not a bunny alien, is he? Like… part of some rabbit invasion trying to take over Earth with cute vibes and sugar?! Oh, no…”
As she reached down to pet one of the tiny void creatures, Chie’s thoughts whirled again. But still, she couldn’t quite shake that itch of curiosity. What if he really was from some mysterious game she’d never played? Or maybe from another dimension? it made her feel like she’d stepped into one of those strange late-night TV specials where heroes meet someone who’s not from around here.
“My question… Does your costume have superpowers?”

“My question… Does your costume have superpowers?”
@ Charlie & Zaye & Lizbeth & Gandrell & Chie
Maxwell couldn't help but let out a hearty chuckle at all of Charlie's guesses... especially her quip on his little furry companions. "Not sugar, more like a handful of pets and praises and they'll reveal all my secrets." He joked before turning his attention back onto the question Charlie asked about his costume with a hum. "Underwater — about 2000 feet deep. Far down enough to see angler fish and other deep-sea horrors," He said, before he caught sight of the new stranger walking into his cabin as he managed to hear him asking if he was lost. Maxwell looked around, before back at Zaye and smiled. "Lost? I sure hope not considering this is my house." He began, before looking at Lizbeth just in time to see the doe waving goodbye as he gave a courteous nod and a wave off before thinking to himself. These wood's were a little steep and confusing at night... He looked down at one of the void rabbits that were perched at his feet and gently nudged it forward, encouraging it to help Lizbeth out of the woods in case she needed it.
"These woods can be hard to traverse in if you're not used to them. much less at night- sometimes signs aren't enough." He said, before smiling at Zaye as some of the void bunnies wandered towards the new guest like curious puppies. Maxwell didn't realize that maybe all of them crept out from the kitchen, but he knew they deserved a little break before starting on the new batch of sweets. "They can help you out of here if you need it, no worries. They all know their way home. But would you like a treat before you leave?"
A few of the rabbits, however, didn’t keep their attention on the new guest for long. Maxwell noticed several drifting off toward Charlie — or rather, the new figure standing beside her. He tilted his head slightly, curiosity piqued, before turning his attention toward them.
But he had to take a tiny moment to realize that he couldn’t help but enjoy how lively the cabin had gotten — it wasn’t often this place felt so lively and full of voices other then the void bunnies squeaks, but then he turned toward the other new guest. "You won't get a cavity if you don't eat anything." He joked, watching as the bunnies stared up at Gandrell with those big 'ol eyes. He nodded toward Charlie's earlier comment about guessing his costume, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. "And before you guess — no, I'm not a slasher... or a deep sea explorer, or a scuba diver..." He paused, then grinned as an idea struck him, remembering what he’d done with the lollipop he gave to his other guest. "You know... The rabbits can make you faux candy. Maybe something that pairs with hers—like a set." He then added, "It's free of course, and no cavities to worry about. Actually, if anything, you'd have to worry about the rabbits before the cavities in this place. Normal rabbits are moody, but supernatural ones? They can be very dramatic."
Yet his ears twitched toward Chie when she gave her question after much thought — and it got a snort out of him. "Haha! Superpowers? No... I'm not an alien bunny or a super power bunny..." He then paused, and gave Chie a playful smile. "But if I really was a prisoner from this site I could be mutated into something... unless if you count mutation as a super power then no, I don't have any sadly. But I used to have a signature kick back when I fought in the pits... But eh, that made me feel more like a wrestler then someone with a super power."
