As of late I've been a security worker, and well, I've spent a lot of time on and off RPR as of late so I figured I'd talk about my job!

So for more or less six months, I've been working for Allied Universal Security contracted by John Deere, I'm sure there's plenty of questions that could be asked about that lol
There are really a lot questions to be asked.
One comes in mind for me.

How did you get on that job? And what needed to be done to achieve successful recruitment?

It generally depends on requirements of where you're being hired, what you're being hired for (unarmed or armed).

I'm unarmed security, so all I had to do was take a week long orientation class and then be trained on my post (which really doesn't take long).

Again, it overall depends on where you go, but I just had to have a valid driver's license and no criminal history as far as I'm aware!
Probably been asked, but what is the best part of your job?

Mostly the fact that I can sit on my butt all day and get paid! Of course, there's more to it than that, but that's about the best part.
What sorts of things were you trained to respond to, and in what ways?

I'm trained to respond to fire, medical, and spill emergencies, as well as other threats/weather conditions/etc.

It's a whole process for the three aforementioned, and something like a threat would be dealt with in ways "for our self preservation", more or less.

I've responded to two medical emergencies and a spill emergency as gate officer and, well, let's just say standing in the rain waiting to see when ambulances show up isn't always fun lol

On that note, I'm also CPR and AED certified so life saving measures is kind of what they trained me for too

Sounds like a legit job then.
Just so I know for certainty, in case you need a hand and a citizen/good Samaritan steps in, is that okay, or is it a "good initiative, but bad judgement" type thing? (Meaning is it okay, or does it turn into a pain in the a** from a logistical standpoint).
Ok, imma get to some more interesting stuff. What was the craziest thing that's happened/youve seen as a security officer?

I have yet to see anything too nuts, but I've heard some horror stories!

There is one story that's, eh...not safe for public forums in its true but long story short, an officer at another facility got fired for having some activities with a truck driver.

Though, still, I don't see a whole lot of things at work, at least not ones I've had to document.

That's crazy. At least you're safe, lol.

That tends to be the case for my shift lol

I'd say the most dangerous situation otherwise was standing out in rain and hail waiting for an ambulance, but I wasn't standing out in it exactly because I took cover...nobody sane wants to be pelted by hail! lmfao
