The gore registered in Adrian's mind and he instantly compartmentalized it. He led everyone into the main area only pausing when he heard the familiar rotor of military helicopter. Guaging the direction, he was able to ascertain that he was able to get his Marines picked up.

Tess held onto Adrian for a brief moment, and when he let her go she stood for a moment. Registering what she just saw. Titus looked at Willow and he moved away from her when she tugged ant his collar and her whimpered to Tess. His tail did a slow wag and he waited for her. Tess caught up to the group and they made their way outside. Tess went pale as a ghost and she walked to the jeep that she had taken from her outpost and put the supplies in the back of the truck. She had seen death before, she was a trained military nurse, but this…it was different. She looked to Adrian when they heard the helicopter.

"My Marines are okay. I have no idea where they are going though. Either way, I'm going with you. The three of us can try to be a family again"

He held Tess's hands briefly before kissing her knuckles.

Tess looked at Adrian and she bit the inside of her cheek. “ I’ll drive, are you getting in the helicopter,” she said softly. She was afraid of helicopter rides, and would only ride if forced. “ three of us,” she asked.

"Yiu, me, and Titus.........and our new friends here" he said tenderly. "The helicopter left me behind. They likely think I'm dead" he said with a distinct heaviness.

Tess looked at Adrian and she nodded. “ I’ll follow in the jeep,” she said softly and she smiled a little. She opened the back door for Titus and he jumped in the back seat.
