I was wondering if when creating a post for looking for RP, under the option: Include play and writing style information - we could add, "Short term" To RP Length.
As I'm making my post for the meet cute I am looking for a shorter RP, but it'll be a bit more than a one off, too I feel like. Obvs now I'll pick on of them, and it's never been a problem before because I usually always pick long term so maybe it really isn't needed....
buuuuttttt as I'm thinking about it.

I read the topic title and was about to be like "ummm actuallyyyy that already exists" (more politely than this of course), but you're so right, one-off scene and short-term are... not exactly the same, even though my mind lumped them together as one. Though I'm not exactly sure where the distinction lies and feel it would be a bit more vibes-based.
I think this is a pretty good suggestion, especially since it shouldn't be too much trouble to add... I don't think?
While we're at it, could we pretty please maybe have an either/any option. With most of my RP ideas, I feel they could go either way, depending on how things turn out and what my partner and I decide after a certain point. Like "this is intended to be short-term but could end up becoming long-term" or "this was meant to be long-term but we think it should end here."
I usually don't select either option, for this reason.

I just assume this is true about every RP - everything could change depending on how well things go and whether the RP works out as intended, better, or worse. So generally the settings, in my mind, would represent the initial intention, but not a cage that would prevent the partners from changing their minds once they're in it.
I had just posted my meet cute when I saw the topic title was changed and I thought I'd already been messaged about something in my LFRP post that I should've or shouldn't have done.
lmfao.
Thanks again, Kim!
@Cryptic: And I tried so hard to make it clear lol. I had to reread my own sentence ten times and ask myself if I even knew what I was asking, lmfao. I don't write one offs, and like I said I never thoguth about it until today when I'd prefer a short term RP.
But I did also mention that I prefer short term, but am okay with long term if they click...
I think.
I'ts past my bedtime y'all. Thanks for the 12th time or something like that.
lmfao.

I usually have no preference/no initial intention, which is why I often don't pick any option for the RP length.
