Hello, welcome! First time forum user, wow - that's like, the opposite of my experience with the internet. And I still prefer it to this day; I like the slower pace and I think it's generally just much, muuuuch easier to keep up with things without either feeling left out or overwhelmed. I'm definitely enjoying forum format, so far-- you're right, it feels way more manageable! More thoughtful, too, which is something I've sorely missed about chatting online. It actually reminds me a bit of deviantART, when I first joined, with a lot less bells and whistles (which, personally, I like)
